How could anyone just dump their dogs like that!?! I’m glad Tia got them back.

I wonder if Tia looked up whom ever adopted Nina and contacted them to find out WHY she ended up on the side of the road like that. Glad they are safe now.

This rescue is literally down the street from me, I have volunteered there before. I never knew that Villalobos came out to my city to help the dogs in need, this warms my heart

That's so like Tennessee as well as Texas. They don't think animals have any feelings. I lived in Tennessee and I saved so many dogs who were dropped off on the road I lived on.

We have a dog that costs us ALOT of money each month, but there is NO way on earth I would EVER leave him behind, and just walk away.. NEVER ever!

There is no one like tia ,she knows a lot about dogs and their behavior !

The owner didn’t even bother to change the microchip details to their own. Goes to show how much they actually felt invested and responsible for the animal. I wonder how many people adopt a dog from here just so they can have the clout of having adopted from “that rescue on tv”.

Its probably the usual sorry-arse excuse, but I would love to hear it! And for someone to file charges afterwards!

The shelter in San Antonio, TX, could learn a lot from this caring place. Stop the euthanasia.

Yes microchip does work. For the people that live in Texas please adopt there's lots of dogs being put down do to kill shelters. I am very very surprised this shelter is not full.

Breaks my heart to see them dumped and abused. It will happen more as things get so expensive. I was in a grocery store and saw a bag of dog food $ 69.00. Made me want to cry. This will mean more pets abandoned. Please those that can afford to give to save these helpless animals do so.

It might be good for VRC to start making yearly/every two or three years visits to adopters to update how things are going with them and the dog. That way the staff and Tia can hopefully spot suspicious behavior by the adopters and get the dog back before it is dumped.

HOW DARE THESE OWNERS just ABANDON these sweet, beautiful dogs on the side of the road? IN CAGES, no less. Just dumped out and left to starve to death or suffer from overheating in the hot, Texas sun. With NO food OR water AT ALL, mind you. They literally had a shelter RIGHT THERE that would have GLADLY taken these ladies in. Its clean, it has a highly successful rate of adoption and there was PLENTY of empty cages. The dogs would have been SAFE and VERY WELL cared for there, and they would have immediately been alerted to the one dog's microchip for Tia. At least now, they are SAFE and still together. Poor ladies. If I were Tia, I would ABSOLUTELY be going back in my files to contact the dog's previous owner and I would be DEMANDING to know WHY she was just left on the side of the road, in a cage, like trash. SHAME on them.

The southern states are being overrun with abandoned dogs I watch 6 shows on RU-vid from Texas to Arkansas and just yesterday 3 more found abandoned making 16 total in 2 months rescued

They're safe and that's fantastic❤️ However, the person who abandoned them like this is still out there, and he/she I wish, will meet karma eventually. But, it would be even better, if that person was found and prosecuted for this crime!
