Robert Rogers not sure what you mean? I mean the first 3 seasons that were originally on The CW before it was canceled. Not the seasons that aired on BET which was rebooted from the sitcom.
I just started rewatching the Game...I never realized there was so many seasons and wondered why I never finished. Now I remember it was because they left. They were the show!
The first three seasons were great. Everyone's character developed nicely and the acting was done well from all the actors. No one was really slacking. Once it was picked up by BET that's when it went downhill.
When BET picked up The Game the only seasons that were good were season 4 and 5 cause Derwin and Melanie were still on it when they left that’s when the show went downhill The Game really wasn’t The Game anymore
But I do agree that The Game was so much better when it was with The CW I think the reason why it went to BET cause after The CW canceled it the fans were begging for The Game to comeback so BET decided to picked up
@@speaktruthpeace1612 I agree! Once it went to BET the storylines and writing was awful! They have too much attention to Tasha Mack and her son. Now with the reboot , I doubt the Tasha Mack character and her son can’t carry the show strongly and the new actors.
Tia WAS the reason why I watched. The show was much more entertaining and real when it was on the CW. WHen BET picked it up...well, lol it just look "cheap", there was no laugh track, and it was just kinda wack. I struggled to watch. I didn't really care for Pooch (lame/corny), but when he and Tia left the show just didn't do it for me. I have no desire to keep up with it. I don't like Brandy or Lauren London and that lame Blue dude either. #BringbackTIA

Jennifer yesss! I just finished the series. I was happy to watch it but I still feel the same about it. The character development is limited. That being said, there are ppl who don’t grow in real life.🤷🏽♀️
Tia, let's recognize Mel and Darwin were the reason why we watched the show, I love Wendy, Cory and so many others, but let's recognize, it's a hole in the heart of The Game. Tia, you do express yourself really clearly and carefully, smart girl always!
Pooch hall was married at the time he was filming The Game. Pooch and Tia never hooked up . I heard Tia and Pooch didn’t like the money offered to keep filming. I tried to watch the show after Pooch and Tia left but it wasn’t as good. I love all the actors on the show but something about Derwin and Mel just had me hooked

The show lost its magic once it went onto BET and you add in its originals actor leaving and replacing them with newbies? Yeah no. Melanie, Derwin, Tasha, Malique, Jason and Kelly were the show
I agree w sway. Tia and pooch pretty much made the show, and now that they're gone no really wants watch it lol. I tried to give it a chance but it's just not the same, and has become a little corny. Maybe one day in the future (if it's still on) they'll make a brief appearance and liven it back up a little but for now, the show is wackkkk!
Tasha and Malik represented the mother son dynamic in urban america... Jason and Kelly made you understand the interracial plight from the inside out... BUT DINGDONG AND MED SCHOOL STRAIGHT UP REPRESENTED US!!!!!
Ya The Game was so much better when it was with the CW well the only BET version seasons of The Game that were good is Season 4 and 5 cause Derwin and Melanie were still on it when they left The Game really wasn’t the The Game anymore Derwin and Melanie were my favorite characters

Just finished The Game 2022 and Pooch Hall definitely made a cameo appearance. Really enjoyed the entire season episodes 1-10 hit all the right spots for me. Not that I wouldn’t enjoy seeing Melanie and Ding Dong cameo, but I’m loving what the Game is doing without the Tia and Pooch characters. Jason Pitts cameo was amazing(Pitts and Dip)… I wish them both well in their careers but The Game Can Must & Should Go On, with or without Tia and Pooch. It was never just Tia & Pooch that made the show for me, it was the entire cast. No one person was more important than the other, which is why it’s important to have good supporting storylines for all characters. Honestly there were times Melanie & Derwin’s characters and storyline was just too much drama, and in those times the other storylines kept me watching. I’m happy the Game has a revitalized life, I’m looking forward to more seasons.
We still need a Girlfriends reboot tho. Idk it just never sat right with me that the spinoff gets to keep going, but the original show still hasn't had a proper conclusion :/
I love the Game...just rewatched the first 5 seasons. Melanie and Derwin were so good together! They WERE the show. It was good to see them come back in the end. That was the perfect way to end it.
There's a ton of comments on here referring to Darwin and Melanie positions on the show and how people stop watching the show when they were written off. In my opinion the reason we were so much more interested was because we got a chance to see Melanie and Darwin grow up from young couple to adulthood and how they managed to get through so many obstacles and actually land on the other side still together that's a good story in itself and once that was taken away it checkmate the show!
Watched the Tia & Tamera Show, the truth comes out in which Tia was being "dropped" 2 a recurring role instead of remaining as a main cast member. Britney Daniel also was dropped 2 a recurring role on Season 4. Basically, BET screwed up the "magic" of The Game & it hasn't been the same since it was aired on the CW. I think all the cast made the show!!! If it wasn't broke....there's no need 2 fix it!!!!
I appreciated it when the show got picked up again after CW dropped it, but I swear I didn't want it to be BET because I KNEW they were gonna fuck it up
Anthony Craig yes. An episode of girlfriends was the introduction to the show. It was like a cross over episode, characters from both shows was in it. I believe med school is joans cousin

This show is my telenovela.It's real it made sense and it hit home.The chemistry between Tia and Pooch was so Belivable! We feel in love with them. The things they went through as a couple was true it happens!! When the show was picked up by bet I was so happy.Then it started with just showing 30 min only instead of an hour!We needed an hour! I hope this is news is not true.
first off, Chardonnay was a breathe of fresh air on that show, she is the only funny person on the show. I'm sorry Melanie and Derwin in season 5 sucked the life out of the show! i was so tired of the character of Melanie! Malik has the same storyline every year. Blue and Kiera need to flesh them out. THeir story goes to fast you dont even have time to understand their relationship! one minute they are together and next they break up. season 7 was rushed, i love who Jason has become with Chardonnay, i love Kelly Pitts, but why was she back. there was no story! If they gonna bring Melanie and Derwin, it need to be Fresh and New, enough of the unhappy housewife, aint nobody got time for that

I’m on season 8 now And at the time I felt the same way that the show wasn’t the same without Derwin and Mel, and it wasn’t but rewatching and finally finishing the series I have to say it’s a great show and Malik character and Brandy really kept the show interesting for me. It did what it set out to accomplish in spite of their departure.
I dont like the show anymore cuz in my opinion I think Brandy ruined it, now if Melanie and derwin come back ill watch it again adding new people to it just made me not interested anymore, just hope they bring them back next season

I feel the same way. Melonie and Derwin made The Game! It won't be the same, and I don't think it's going to be as successful as it was. We didn't bring the show back to have it changed and to get rid of our favorite characters!!!
The show is good overall. Granted it got more serious during season 4/5 and on but it's still a good show. I didn't mind the blue and Keira relationship.
the game was actually centered around derwin and melanie because if anybody watched girlfriends melanie and derwin was on there talking about the game so they are the main characters all those other characters are sideline characters the show was already slipping when they moved from cw to bet and now its just going to collaspe without derwin and melanie
She left because Pooch left. They wouldn’t let him be in two shows and since pooch wasn’t there anymore they were gonna give Tia much much less screen time so she said nah brah. Pooch made the right choice, Ray Donavan is a very successful show and has been on for 7 seasons so far. I love that Tia never puts anyone’s business on blast and respects their privacy until they’re ready to speak about it. She also didn’t tell anyone about why Brittany left. No one knew she had cancer until she spoke about it years later.
First it was Kelly (which we all know now why she left and now she's back) and now its Melanie and Derwin. BET has juggled the show so much it has almost ruined it. Kelly coming back has been the only saving grace that the show has had recently. I quit watching when she left and the show got all dark. Now Im back to watching cuz of Kelly but if Melanie and Derwin dont come back soon I dont know how much longer the show can survive.
Kelly left cuz she had cancer in real life, she returned when she was clear of it.. That wasnt the networks fault. They deffo ruined it without melanie and derwin tho, the last season they were on was pretty wack too cuz they were hardly in it.
I loved watching the game. No offense but watching the first season with the whole cast that first started was rewarding. It seems like it was starting off a must tune in. When Kelly didn't return, it was watchable, but to have Med School and Ding dong gone is crazy. Wish the show the best with the newbies.
Wow, I'm so shocked it's ending! Well basically ending, she's leaving. Urg. And I'm one of those fans watching the show for Tia and who fell in love with her chemistry with Pooch's character. The other characters on the show are so freaking hilarious but it's not the same show without Tia and Pooch, they are the main characters.
No, they gave her and Pooch a choice to either make guess appearances or leave the show. We now Tia choice to leave the show. But i don't know about Pooch. I know he in on a new show but he was in the first couple of episodes in season 6 so i don't know if he will make anymore. I hope he does so we can see what happen to Derwin and hear from him (since tia isn't coming back) who him and Melody's marriage is going and how she's doing. Because i don't how they we lefted without an ending for them.
From what I recall on the twins show, tia said they called her & told her they had decidd to make her role a reocurring role & she had a choice to stay or walk away.I recall the episode when her agent called her.she cried abt making the choice 2 leave. They screwed her when she was a founding memeber of that show! She prob has a gag clause in her contract so she won't say they fired her or let her go.if u helped make a show a sucess & they want 2 downplay ur character to bring in new faces? Id walk away too! Screw being treated like a step child when tias name helped carry the show til they developed a following. All the originals cast members were great. Now its pure ratchet! Bet screwed it up. Its like the NFL version of Single Ladies! Just nasty&ratchet! Brandy is good but they were wrong to screw tia out of her leading role.ymelanie was kinda boring but they could've given her character a makeover & some better storylines.instead they just wrote her off the show!

the game was first ruined when they changed the main cast and got rid of Brittany daniels. I think I gave up on the show after that which wsa like season 4? and now without tia and pooch, the show is OVER in my eyes. and its so depressing that its over but I'm seriously ready to say goodbye.
You can tell BET made her sign a nondisclosure agreement by the way she answers her questions. Hopefully the truth comes to the light soon. The Game def won't be the same w/o Melanie & Derwin.
Im re watching the game but now that Melinie and derwin are no longer on the show it’s weak. This why I never finished in when it first came out. They should have never left. I think the show would have still been on.
Basically Pooch left to do Ray Donovan and BET had no use for Tia once Pooch left so the mutually decided to part ways...I have no idea why she couldn't just say that instead of beating around the bush
I stopped watching The Game last year (2012) once I saw a marathon of old episodes on BET and I tried to follow the storyline but couldn't because it didn't make much sense, so I wasn't aware that Derwin/Pooch wasn't on the show anymore; but I kinda' figured SOME kind of shake-up happened on that show once I saw Pooch surface on the new Showtime series Ray Donovan... He seems like a really good fit for that show; maybe from there he can graduate to something on HBO, eventually...
I think they're saying Lauren London cannot act (she's one of the new characters that will be on the Game). Honestly, that entire show (Single Ladies) feels like it needs a ton of direction, so I wouldn't judge her too harshly based on that. Once they got rid of Stacey Dash, it got even worse.
"The Game" was a spinoff of the TV show "Girlfriends" due to Tia's character being the cousin of Tracee Ellis Ross' character on "Girlfriends". Tia's character wanted to follow her boyfriend to San Diego to support his football career. Tia looks like she's hesitant to tell the whole truth. And I hear that Pooch's character is returning as a part of the new season. IMO BET messed up the show when they took it over, but I already knew it would happen because they are not good with scripted shows.
clearly it was the money. Season 1-3 was amazing!!!! The Paramount reboot with Tasha Mac as the lead also is REALLY great. I would advise anyone who hasn't seen it to watch its 2 seasons. Its a great little ending to Tasha's story. Always always wanted the original 3 ladies to return. BET def mishandled the ball. Brandy was probably the best addition to the later seasons as well as Wendy having more story developing moments.
"The Game" sucks now. It doesn't have the same heart & sould that it once had. Back when it was on the CW, it was fun to watch. Now, it's just another dumb basket case drama.
im not a hater or anything, Lauren London is pretty but she can't act, she acts the same in every role she has, tiara brought her character to life, watching that show when her and pooch were on there, it made me feel like they were really dating and I was watching a reality show
When The Game moved to BET we expected the same quality as the writing on CW and the first season on BET was alright . Hated they didn't bring back the Brittany character because all 3 women had chemistry. Then as usual BET took the show to trash...all of a sudden I'm seeing Melani and Tasha's breast
When you are in the lifestyle where you have to constantly look good put products, hot heat curlers etc. It damages the natural hair in the long run so its best for her to wear wigs every now and then to protect her hair & give it that needed break. Sometimes girls wearing weave has nothing to do with being bald or having good hair or what not. But is use as a protective style.
I first stopped on that show back when it was on CW because I saw Tia and I'm a huge Sister Sister fan so .... but that show is pure trash to me since it went to BET so shrugs.
She quit because her story line was getting boring and so was her character. Brandy came to the seen and stole her thunder! Now Brandy is running shit on The Game. It's all about her. The Game is the new Moesaha.
