I like the music but there’s no storyline and way to many areas that have nothing. There’s so much more work needed to be done before it’s as good as the ride it replaced
You really have to hear the dialogue on this ride to understand what’s happening especially with the scene with tiana on the lift hill, the story is just finding animals to play at the celebration but with all the dead space it makes it hard to focus on what’s going on
Best lightning and video so far! Thank you. Splash Mountain is still the best with storyline, animatronics and ride experience. Needed the connection to the original film with Dr. Facliler (Shadow Man), Prince Naveen, Gumbo and more.
@@Floridafanatic28 I can't really take your rating seriously if I keep seeing you comment on multiple POV vids of this ride 🤭. You're desperate for likes and want to be heard.
RIP Splash Mountain, this lifeless, boring, empty ride is an embarrassing reskin of a classic! If it aint broke dont fix it! Also, Salt Mines? "SEASONED VETERANS" and they called "Song of the South" racially insensitive...
IMO if they wanted to make this a Princess and the Frog themed ride, they NEEDED to have Dr. FACILIER! Could easily have him and or his friends lingingering in the literal shadows (since they love the screens) and have him "make one last deal" to get Tiana (and subsequently you) dragged into the Voodoo Mouth (laughing Place drop) The laughing place is a cool neon foggy, shadow filled voodoo realm with Dr. FACILIER (Weary from his torture) threatning Tiana for revenge and his "soul replacement" the climb for the big drop is your escape from the voodoo realm, you make the big drop boom you show up to (should have kept the steamboat, this looks like a flooded N.O) Jazz Band Jamming, pass a spot with Dr. FACILIER'S Hat on the ground with shadows receesing into his hat as his screams fade, final mama Odie can stay, but damn... that would be a proper sequel to the story not whatever this is
In the beginning all the animals needed for the party could’ve been squeezed in, and as you get to the drop you go the wrong way from the party and Dr Facilier would’ve shrunken you down into the dark side of the bayou with dark magic, huge scary insects, and huge snakes, and as he tries to throw you out of the bayou up the lift hill mama odie saves you down the drop and you safely make it to the party, and we could’ve also seen the aftermath of Facilier
yeah there were always a few depending on when we rode it, and also since it's new they may be running a few more boats to keep up the capacity without causing like a full backup
Splash Mountain was offensive apparently... so they have you travel into the Avery Island Salt Dome where actual slaves worked instead? And then they joke about it with a sign that says "Salt Mines Are For Seasoned Veterans Only"?! Disney has literally lost the plot.
It’s so sad the downgrade Disney made with this after millions of dollars. Splash Mountain felt like the critters lived there, we came into their world. It’s so awkward seeing the next animatronic silently waiting up ahead for you to pass their sensor. Put them on a loop like how it was before, so it puts some actual life into them. We didn’t spend money to watch screens either, but to be immersed into an imaginary world. The place feels like they scraped the bare minimum of the barrel just to try to entertain us. A few critters scattered throughout the bayou feels like they are coming out just for us, then to get back into the dark void. Just stick to doing rides based on the movies like the classic Fantasyland dark rides, add Facilier, “Are you ready” for the drop, and put Tiana in her gown at the finale with a familiar song on the recycled riverboat scene…would have been amazing! I’ve seen so many comments of African Americans saying they didn’t care about the Song of the South drama, because the ride didn’t convey that at all and was an enjoyable experience for decades! Poor Tony Baxter and what they’ve done to his masterpiece, and the millions who will grow up never knowing the classic of a ride Splash was.
Such a failure. They could have designed it way better AND fix the ride mechanics. To be honest I’m glad it’s failing. Shouldn’t have messed with it to begin with.
What makes me mad is that if this didn’t have the “Princess and The Frog” label on it, nobody would ride this. There isn’t any conflict, and it’s boring. They should have made a ride based on the movie
That made me feel like I went to my all time favorite vacation destination AND FOUND IT FULL OF SQUATTERS! This retheme sucks. Woke people suck. I'm done with disney.
Wow what a boring POS. I really hope Disney is trolling us and this is a toned down b-mode or even c-mode version and it's going to be drastically different on opening day. Please God.
Omg this ride looks amazing can’t wait to take my family on this ride my only thing is should I do lighting lane for lunch time or at night to see the beautiful lights of the bayou
Personally, I was so excited for this remodel, I just can’t stand by a ride with no conflict and an overly repetitive story line. I was ready to watch the pov but had to watch it in 2 times speed. It isn’t captivating, and nothing about it actually needs to be princess and the frog. It’s only there to draw people in to a boring lot of nothing
@@Taydar the problem is that Tianas tried to have a story, and failed miserably. The rides that don’t have stories, and don’t need them, like small world, are enjoyed by the public because they’re iconic rides. Disney can’t spend millions of dollars on top animatronics and not have a captivating story to use them with. I think the remodel would have been perfect if they just used the movie to create the ride. That’s what people like myself were excited for. I wanted to see a well known villain, and a cool story line, not “let’s get a band for a party” with nothing going on at all. It’s a dark ride that went from being interesting, to pretty much just music and scenery. Might be fine for some, but I think that’s the problem most people are having with it.
@MickeyMouse-672 that is a story, to find the band. And that's fine. Also they were pretty open from the start that was the premise. If you expected something else, that's your fault. You don't need Dr Facilier there, wouldn't make sense anyway.
@@Taydar well was there a reason it had to be a boring story instead of events from the movie? I think that would have been really interesting. Also, I know they say in the beginning that we need to find a band, but in most situations where a story is told with a goal, there is a conflict to go with it. It brings more intrigue and popularity
If you don't like Tiana's bayou adventure then don't support it or Disney for supposedly ruining everything, by getting rid of splash mountain, SM was 33 years old the imagineers were probably getting tired of repairing the animatronics whenever they broke down, yeah one of the Louis animatronics is already broken im sure the imagineers will get the bugs fixed im sure after a bunch of people criticize the ride for how terrible or dull it is, the imagineers will do a future update add more movie elements
Then why does Tokyo's 30 year old Splash Mountain is in pristine condition?? Disney prices mean that management doesnt simply get sick of repairing things.
"Pirates of the Caribbean is 57 years old, disney was probably tired of replacing the animatronics when they were old so they just got rid of 90% of them and replaced them with screens"
ITS OK...BUT NO CATCHY SONGS...ZIPPITY DO DA ROCKS....MORE UPSET DISNEY BENT A KNEE TO THE WOKE LEFT. THEY DONT SUFFER...THIS RIDE AND THE PAYING GUESTS DO...FACT
