For me, something that is lacking in magic, to improve the lore and to engage the Vorthos community (which since the war of the spark fiasco has been kinda let down and is gradually recovering), would be to launch stories between sets. As the products are no longer in blocks, the worlds presented to us are not explored as much, which is a problem, as they present us with interesting concepts, which are discarded before being properly explored, making the Vorthos community dissapointed with the execution of the lore in some level, no matter how incredible the world (an example is in ikoria, where we have the concept of bonders being excluded from society, which would give several interesting tales, but this concept is lost at the end of ikoria's book) , if we had stories between sets, the vorthos community would have a lot more content to comment on, keeping the community active, and if we could explore the worlds more, it would open the door to several different narrative styles, imagine for example, a horror story in ikoria, where a arrogant hunter tries to kill nethroi, only to realize that it is impossible, and the whole story is a survival horror, where he has to hide from the creature and find a way to escape, the stories could take place at any point in time, allowing concepts that could not be properly explored to be used

Last time I was this early, EA wasn’t pay to win. Oh wait...

He has lost 2 fight if i am correct, both fight were against people with more combat experience, but he didnt really lose, his goal was fulfilled and demons were going through the scar. I would like to have seen him get abit more charcter development. With Kaya like how she instantly knew Tibalt was the god of lies, she instantly knew it was a spell and not her own thoughts telling her to leave, she was having these thoughts allready, but instantly knew that these thoughts were due Tibalts magic.. you would have thought she would have struggled more to see this or need the elf to break her out of the spell.

These are so good! Always look forward to your story retelling... it is sometimes and oftentimes better than the writing.

There are things I did not like about the story of kaldheim in general, and not specifically about this chapter, such as, for example, the ambiguity of the level of power of the gods, in Ranar's story, it is said that only gods could kill the planet size wolf that was watching him, but in the same story the god Egon is killed with a blow by Ranar, who is just a ghost of a human (I know that Egon didn't really die, but still), and Cosima, even though she was a goddess, she was not able to kill Varragoth, where it is said by the author that he didn’t seem to care about her blows, and Esika is killed by Vorinclex, these gods are kind of weak for my taste, I don’t know why mortals are so afraid to enrage them, when their difference in power is not so different from that of mortals, when I think of a god I think of an absolute and unstoppable force, there is even a card in this set that shows the hand of Alrund in colossal size crushing his enemies, but the story dont reflect this (even valki was arrested by some random magic magic)

Would love a more consistent lore series from you!

I feel like the story of this plane is much better than we've seen from other recent planes

Tibalt doesn't need to be strong or win he's a agent of Chaos. He gets the story rolling and moves on. That's his purpose.

I dont think that every character needs to have a complex story or some kind of development to be a good character, there are other traits that make a character good, like being charismatic, consistent with his ideologies and serve his porpuse in the story, like what tibalt did, but i will say that the marketing department of wizards focused in him to much to promote the product, with makes his short appearence underwhelming, in my opinion, he should haven been the final obstacle in the last chapter, together with varragot. But if character development is your preference, i think kaya filled this role well, she has a personal conflict and a development, and even the story and characters helped to push this development, vorinclex and tibalt serving as choices that represent kaya´s internal conflict, choose between hunting vorinclex for personal gains, because she was being paid, or put that aside to confront the more imediate and bigger threat and be a hero, and tyvar serving as her counterpart, being a newbie who doesnt understand the world, in wich his naivenes remembers kaya of what is truly important (im from brazil so forgive my english)

Your performance is great, just don't like the writing at all. Does not feel like planeswalkers more like Hollywood trying to invent new avengers characters with out knowing how.

I actually like that Tibalt is the weakest planeswalker physically. It means the writers have to come up with creative ways for him to be a credible threat. Unfortunately they haven't done it yet, but I think he has huge potential.

You do a wonderful service to the fandom, but... could you be a bit less pathethic (pathos) in some passages? You seem to put emphasis on words and phrases that really do not need that much emphasis.

I could be totally wrong about this but i don't think Tibalt is the main villain. I think he's working for someone else who is the true villain in this story. Please no spoilers.

Tyvar is the homie. He just wants to adventure and do cool shit with his boys and I can't blame him. All the planeswalkers before him have been so consumed and changed by their powers and godlike abilities, but not him. Nahiri and Sorin, for example, are good-aligned planeswalkers, but they had delusions of grandeur and were essentially playing god.It makes them hard to like when they want to play with the lives of millions to sculpt a world in their image. Not everyone needs some grand meaning in their life. Others are so lost in their magic & alignment that it almost makes them devoid of personality. For Tyvar, he just wants to enjoy life and do good for his people, which is ironic, as he probably has the abilities to literally sculpt a world in his image, more so than Nahiri or Sorin definitely. It's going to be interesting to see if Tyvar accepts responsibility and duty in the Gatewatch, and if he does, how powerful he could be. He's only just become a Planeswalker and he's already one of the most gifted and powerful individuals we've seen, with insane potential. If he does end up back on Zendikar, he's about to go off. All that mana and nature to work with? Sheesh.

Wonderful read, if only the Wizards' content would match your storytelling. It feels double :/. But please keep doing this. :)

In my opinion, the best way to attract new or nostalgic readers to the actual story is to write sidestories placed on planes like Amonkhet, which could tell us of past of these worlds, their ancient inhabitants and their society, even if there were old walkers among theme. Like an anthology, maybe told by some of the oldest planeswalkers we know, like Markov.

So serious question. Based on Chapter 3 was it Tibalt that paid Kaya, because he set this all in motion just to kill her, or was trying to kill Kaya just something he wanted to do because she happened to be there.

A bit of a technical question that we may not know, but in a fragmented plane, like alara, kaldheim, or maybe even lorwyn, can a planeswalker specifically planeswalk between the shards/realms, or do they have to find internal means such as the omenpath? Just something I've been wondering for the laws around planeswalking and my understanding of the universe
