I grew up in dehradun. A place in Uttrakhand in India. My school was near tibetan colony. Few students were there studying with us. We visited their honme. All the elderly ladies use to wear tibetan dress. It use to look wonderful. Your traditional dresses are colourful and beautiful. Live from india.

@@TibettravelOrg Good point! I remember when I traveled to Nepal seeing many Tibetans and their faces were always sunburnt, especially the children, but people of all ages too. I can see how this style of dress would help cover the body to prevent too much sun exposure. Plus it is beautiful as well....

Tibetan language is used from kindergarten to college. For your information. By the way, do the minorities in your country have their own universities where they can study and do research with their own language?

Tibet is a whole culture on its own, full of beauty across the board. Very peaceful and lovely people with a remarkable spirituality that match their life philosophy. They will triumph the ugly and draconian aggressor soon and have their Dalai Lama back on the throne again.
