I am a Tibetan born and brought up in India. Thank you india from the deepest of my heart for considering us same and keeping us safe. I know Indian national anthem and the color of Indian flag, and few great Indian leaders and history of India. I'll forever keep this in my mind untill the death part us. Jai hind, Jai Tibet. Long live India Tibet friendship. Long live dalai lama. Om guru ayho siddhi hum rhi.
Just for curiosity, the Tibetan cause is great but granting citizenship is a sensitive issue because of china China will react to this but do young Tibetans want to be Indians or will getting Citizenship dilute the issue?
@@nirvanaisthekeytobliss4811 there was certain issues like that when I was younger. As far as I remembered, Tibetans in India didn't wanna take the citizenship, especially from southern part of Indian refugee camp. Perhaps some wise people guided us. Could Be Indian or Tibetian. And as for the younger generation, I don't think so. They have been brought up by there families under proper guidance, Tradition and culture. China's eye of the dragon is what we shud be worried about and we Tibetans, Indian and American shud tread carefully. And whole world. One virus shook 7 billion people. And yes, nirvana is indeed the key to bliss.
@@johnnytawon780 do you people still want to go back and perform your culture of surfdom in tibet coz before china liberation you people are doing that 🤫
@@TheTenzii1 for that the Tibetan government in exile had to approach. Host goverment can't do anything until they are approved with particular requests
@@friendlyatheist9589 yeah but then india have to change there rule of constitution and will be 2 rule in one country. as dr Ambedkar. has said one country one rule. but ofcourse as u said tibet exile government can still try. but chances are less.
@@TheTenzii1 India doesn't allow dual citizenship and that's the issue. Even if the government make an exception for Tibetans, they would have to do the same for every other NRI. Things will spiral into chaos. Only thing is Tibetans should get a provisional work permit which they can renew indefinitely. This way they can remain Tibetan on paper and work as Indians.
Here bangladeshi and rohingyas are getting aadhar card and voter ID. Government should provide citizenship to the Tibetans people who were born here... (They are not refugees they are us they are Indian)
@@ayushtan yes bro it is true but we love india more than those liberando.. As well as few tibetan wants to have indian citizen to join indian airforce and navy as well ..
@@ayushtan Yes like Tibetan Passport and Indian Green Card. I would support this. This would allow them to get better jobs and retain Tibetan nationality.
Tibetan born in India before 1987 are eligible for citizenship as per citizenship clause and many do have Indian PPT. It’s true that some younger generation are refrained from greater opportunity, but they are mostly interested in west (can’t blame anyone).
You are welcome brother /sister...in my city every year in Winters Tibetan refugees market set-up ...i always go there with my family...since 8-10 years. You are very kind sweet n hardworking people...we will always support you..stay strong. 🙏😊 #Jaihind #Freetibet
what will u think about that the majority of tibetans in China dont have the conception of fighting for indepence. only you guys in exile wanna get independece. they have better life than you as the central govt give them a lot of money to build infrastructs like plaza, parks, public transportation, schools, living apartments.especially clean water , stabel electricity power supply, arranged streets.
No need to thank. You are part of the same civilization. Adi Yogi/shiva/adiBudha came from Tibetan plateau. Tibet is always regarded as the most sacred place for any Indians.
It will not be right choice, then they can never get Tibet back from China, what India can do to help them is isolate China internationally, cut trade with China 100 percent until China withdraws from Tibet and other occupied parts, its a difficult task but possible if leaders are determined to take on China without any compromise...
@@almohisenhayathbathru8517 tibbet have large resources atleast 100 + billions of worth which can help Chinese more so it's impossible china will let tibbet go anytime soon
I as an Tibetan don't want to claim nor compare anything here but I want you look at the facts ..... Even though we are in exile and living in this great Nation India as an refugees for past 6+ decades ... We have surpassed / accommplished and been the best of the best compare to other refugees and even the states ... And have contributed and have shown loyalty to this great Country India in so many different ways as we could .... .... Many of my friends served and serving in the 22 unit or the SSF or the Vikas regiments for decades and in education , rural development , Agriculture , environment issues, Animal cares , you name it .....we do this bcoz we acknowledge and consider India as our Motherland .....we never betray nor disobey India ever ... Although not having a Indian citizenship didn't really effected when we were kids ...but the world and time will never been same ....the new generation this modern world and economic crisis ...many of us young Tibetans left India or going abroad to earn a living and for their families back home in India ...😓 But in anyways ... We Tibetans are so gratetful and thankfull to the Indian People and their kind compassion nature for allowing us to be able to live , study , and spent our childhood in India .. We will never forget this .. We miss our Childhood and ofcourse We miss Our Second Home away from Home🙏🇮🇳 And one more important facts which I am sure unfortunately so many people don't know this ..nor they have idea How unique and deep bondage or the relation of Tibetans and India have been ..... Weather Historically , religiously , literature , culturally , the language ...and their roots ... Please research and study the history thoroughly ..you will see ...we all are so deep rooted to one another you haven't imagine it .... ❤️ Hamesha 🇮🇳🙏
Tibetians are our own people. We share culture and history with them. They are living in India from so many years. They are patriotic and law abiding people. I am sure they will never go against the interests of India. So should be given citizenship but at the same time they should not give up their Tibet cause and should continue to fight for Tibet as an independent country. Love you Tibetan brothers and sisters.
It’s crucial Time for the Government of India to recognise Tibet as a military illegal occupied country to move forward the Tibetans issue as a nation which is highly connected with Indian national sovereignty and security too. Thank you 🙏
They should be given citizenship asap... I am from indore and in winters, Tibetans come here to sell warm clothing...i must say they are very humble and nice people they had never caused any trouble to anyone , they come with a smile and leave with a smile also the clothes are awesome....there isnt any reason to stop their citizenship
Very sad to know our Tibetan brothers are going through citizenship crisis. Hope it gets resolved soon & they get to work in India itself. We need them, they have become a part of us now.
Glad this news has come out. Lot of our young Tibetan refugees are going to USA,Europe and other countries because of the job. Lots of our younger generation kids all education and due to Indian citizenship. Our Tibetan refugees are paying extra lake fees for college admissions because we are not Indian citizens. They don’t know what refugees status mean. They think we came from outside county and pay extra fee for admission.
my friend who was citizen of south Africa left his citizenship of SA and come to India , now he has citizenship of India after 6 years of living here. I wondered why don't they have Indian citizenship yet ?😢💖
India has contributed so much to the refugees compare to the other developed nations. We feel proud and lucky to be born in a country where there is tradition & culture and these have helped us to keep in touch with our own morals & values. East or West, India is the best🙏
The man at 0:29 is DISGUSTING! How can you blame the foreign media for showing the ugly side of India when "Oneindia News" can't even remove that from its clip.
GoI shud introduce the concept of guest citizenship...which would give them all rights other than voting ,in this way political parties could not be able to use them for thr benfits.
rules for employment needs to be framed for them, with their Tibetan identity, at least in private sector. If they can contribute in nation building then it's a win-win for both.
We have very old relationship with Tibet where we used to exchange goods...may be most Tibetan don't know that even our young generation don't know am lucky enough to learn it from elders and through our folklore...from arunachal Pradesh India
I don’t understand why that lady made this film Sometimes even they don’t have any problems but the reporters trying to make issues without any reason India is good enough to fight for them
My sister is tibetan got first place around 80 student included Indian and tibetan in hotel management in Bangalore. She applied visa to USA all Indian who applied visa got my sister didn't got because she don't have Indian passport. We can feel the difference.
Correction or Clarification needed: India haven’t imposed any restriction on Tibetans on getting jobs in private companies and in army (SFF regiment). Only not allowed in govt jobs and govt reserved seats. Tibetans don’t need Indian citizenship to get job, don’t spread wrong information. It is Tibetan youth decision to do business to make more money than seeking job because their salary expectations is high. Unemployment exist in indian citizens too. Indian in general are happy to hire Tibetan being found of diverse workplace environment. Govt of India is proving Indian citizenship under certain law to Tibetans born during 1950-1987 but many later born Tibetan and youth wanting Indian citizens. There is a dialogue occurring between india & Tibetan exile govt. It is more of Tibetan exile govt wanting to maintain Tibetan identity for preservation & staying as refugee status and opting out of taking Indian citizen not really govt of India. Tibetan can buy land or own house or any property except farm land. Govt of India has allocated farm land to Tibetans in Tibetan settlement but can’t buy beyond allocated regions. This law is applicable same to Indian, Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) holder and foreigner.
Sorry for your wrong information. Tibetan can't buy land property in India at all. Whether it's house or land. It stop real-estate investment growth in community. And as for citizenship only for the people who born in 1970's are allow to take citizenship and the rest generation are like herd with no direction. Which made lot of compromise for younger generation dream job and opportunities and lead to migration in lot of younger generations ... Hope some day Tibetan can return back to tibet. india indeed helped a lot for Tibetan but not willing to do as what other country does for a refugee. But all Tibetan are thankful for everything.
@navin Singh yes. We've been separated because of religion and now they want to live in our country. Bangladeshi are just jealous people. Past doesn't matters, a muslim will always support a muslim.
@@RekhaSharma-wg4kr nd genetically wise Tibetans r different but mentally they love dis land more than muslims, communists bcoz for them India is a sacred land of Buddhism.
I and many of my frds born n raised in india choose not to hv citizenship... being a stateless person it alwas reminds us of our fight to get back to tibet.... we are tibetans fighting for our rights but with citizenship it ll b indian fighting for tibetan rights... n slowly our cause ll die with it... wit comfort u loose the fight but wit struggle of constant reminder of not having a land pushes u further ... india govt allows citizenship for those born in india before '87 but we still dont take it... its about tibets freedom not our comfort in foreign land but our ppl n land back home
Instead of giving them Indian citizenship, I think they should be allowed to get a job. They are proud Tibetans n should stay that way, but the only problem is getting a job. GOI please help our Tibetan families living in India. Jai hind
Tibetians should be given citizenship, they speak the indian language fluently, some of them have lived in india for 60 years, the younger generation have been born and educated in indian.
I feel deeply sorry that India couldn't grant citizenship to such beautiful and kind souls, but even India couldn't do anything,if we grant citizenship to Tibetans we will be bound to grant the same to illegal immigrants from Bangladesh
I think the Indian govt. and Tibetan govt in exile should come together to design a middle ground so that meritorious Tibetan children can get better career opportunities in spite of their refugee status. I can understand proud Tibetans do not want to take Indian citizenship because it does not serve their purpose also India is not a very rich country yet. But, 60 years is a long time and it is high time governments should look into this matter.
They should remember that they are not Indians but refugees. Freedom does not come cheap it is gained from blood and sweat. Sitting in India and giving sermons won’t let them anywhere. Slowly history will forget them
The "poor oppressed" Tibetan have good infra, education, jobs, excellent relocated homes and a successful govt poverty alleviation program!! It is better for Indian Tibetan to stay in India for freedom!
Every Winter , a group of Tibetans come to my city and they open temporary shops of sweaters and jackets etc only for the winter season and later they return, they are so nice and kind people , i hope they could have permanent Shops and residence here👍
How the hell Rohingyas getting Aadhar Card and Voter IDs but these lovely Tibetans haven't got citizenship even after living 40 years.!!!? Govt of India should do something about it!
Who ever says that the Tibetan cause is enhanced if the Tibetan refugees in India remain diasefranched from the rights and the opportunities by the great democracy of India is wrong and does a disservice to the Tibetans.
There are rules and regulations. A nation is not a grocery store you cant change anything. Indian government grant them citizenship but they had to give up refugee status. Goverment can't be blamed. also if there is any issue the Tibetan government in exile can approach Indian government for solutions. If this issue exit it also means the Tibetan government in exile has not been active on it.
I think it is high time now for India to allow Indian citizenship to the next generation of Tibetians who were born and brought up in India keeping in mind their aspirations. They have every right to have better employment opportunities and to live and work and buy property anywhere in India just like every Indian citizen.
You might get private jobs but it is a challenge when HR are not familiar with our system of RC and IC and does pose obstacles, and also career progression is also hard when higher management needs to travel abroad and many countries doesn’t recognize IC and this can be disqualifying
@Penpa Geshing GOI has set preconditions to surrender IC, and it is what they claim “ refugee entitlements” like living in refugee settlement, access to Tibetan school for kids etc. and one will lose it by becoming citizen. and there is also a cut off date to apply for citizenship so not every Tibetan refugee can apply for citizen.
@Penpa Geshing Indian citizenship law only allows Tibetans born between January 26 1950 to July 1st 1987 eligible for Indian citizen and not those born prior to and afterward of this cut off mark. It is easier said then done when one has invested in properties in Tibetan settlement to suddenly give it all up and started afresh. The land is leashed from respective state government but houses are all build out of ones own pocket. If the parent qualifies and kid doesn’t then how can they uproot family from own home ? And also split up from grandparents born before 1950 who can’t be Indian citizen. It is complicated
True, granting citizenship would dilute the cause of independence. Their should be special agreement to allow Tibetans to sail through administrative hurdles.
