Fair enough if those features are deal breakers. I haven't really used Android pay/NFC as we've had tap cards here for a while. Hope you find what you're looking for, best of luck.
Oh yeah, we've had tap cards in Canada also, they're really convenient. I just long for the day I don't have to carry a wallet, and it's really good for times when you don't want to carry a phone (i.e. exercising)
Is that a Linux Mint logo? (the sticker with the green on it) - can't tell cause it's out of focus. I love Linux Mint..... I'm using it as my daily driver! I ordered my Ticwatch E just lastnight and mine already is Shipped by USPS, also I just ordered a Charging Dock a few hours ago.
Excellent video! If i want to use this smartwatch like a regular watch, use only the watchfaces (but always on), without gps, wifi, activations etc. How many long is the battery capacity?
@@LaptopRetrospective Thank you so much! This days i can't find this watch on Gearbest or Banggood. I see it only in Amazon little expensive. My country is Greece and i don't know how to buy it.
Sure can. You get a map and instructions. I barely use the feature though since the phone is needed for notifications so most time I use it for navigation over the watch.
@@LaptopRetrospective Can you just share a pic of that screen.. also is the 1m water resistance offered for this watch upto the standard, will it take the accidental dips..
Is it possible to reply to messages directly from the notifications tab? From apps like whatsapp, telegram, messenger from facebook, inbox from instagram?
Can anyone help me with my ticwatch e please. Everything was working fine and a few days ago I noticed I couldn't reply to a text using my voice. When you hit reply it gives the 3 options and voice is one of them. As soon as I hit the voice button it'll act like it's going to work then just force close. I can reply by text but not voice. Any help would be greatly appreciated
I have the tic watch E and an iPhone. When you are out of range of the internet, google assist won’t work with the cell internet data, has anyone found a fix for that? The commercials for the watch show people riding bikes and using google assist so it should work some how. Thank you
Have you tested OK/Hey Google detection? I use Google Assistant for setting reminders and home control, so wondering how well it works (in addition, how much battery hit it takes)
+Linh Nguyen works great. Doesn't talk back to you like on a phone. At least not yet. As for battery life I will let you know. I've just enabled the feature and will check to see what the drain is like having the mic always listening.
+Linh Nguyen so I can report that the battery hit is essentially negligible which is a pleasant surprise. Maybe a few extra percent down but nothing overly noticable.
Do you have your phone communicating with your watch 24/7? There is an option that often pops up saying you should allow it and it kills both batteries.
I have been unable to activate that feature on the watch. Could you help? I would like the watch to listen to my "OK Google" command and respond. But unable to do so.
I have a google home and pixel 2 xl. Currently when i say ok google and request something the google eco system will be smart enough to only respond through the google home. If you add an "Ok Google" enabled watch, will the eco system be smart enough to only respond through the google home? Or will it respond through both the home and the watch
+Spudinske excellent question, sadly I do not own a Google Home device so I cannot test this out. Let me know if you have the opportunity and the results.
Does it also randomly lag if you turn it on to scroll through notifications? That was the reason why I returned the Fossil Q Control. It always was lagging, terrible, unusable.
I hav bought the watch from Aliexpress.i wanted to knw if the assistant is only available after long pressing the button.'ok google or hey google' is nt option here.ri8?or my watch is a defect.its my first smart watch.so pretty concerned about it...
Having just got a Google Home Mini I was curious about such functionality. While disappointing if true, the platform is so much more than a home remote.
So it turns out that the one featured there might be a KS exclusive. I am trying to find out for sure. The screen is 1.4 inches in diameter, so you might need to source a 3rd party solution. The one I installed looked like the one in this eBay listing. I suspect that Mobvoi also used a generic one. www.ebay.com/p/Ticwatch-2-Screen-Protector-Full-Coverage-9h-Hardness-Tempered-Glass-Screen-for/551374803 (Note I do not support this specific seller, just using it as an example)
Jeff McCarthy thanks for the support. Glad you enjoyed the videos. That screen protector is a snug fit but essential to the touch experience, the protection is a bonus.
Well if that's all it takes to suck is that moment of unresponsive input you might be hard up. Can't say I've had it happen since the Wear OS update. This video was when it was still running AW1...
I feel like Android Wear is usually at fault for not responding to touches. It senses them, you just have to be very specific in grabbing the screen edges to swipe, etc. I've used several and noticed the same thing
Laptop Retrospective yes bro i know that, but i was asking, can we make google assistant to speak on ticwatch? just like what we experience on Android!
+Varun Kesari thanks for clarifying your question. I do not see any option to turn on that would mimic the feature like it does on the phone. I suspect this might be due to not all watches having speakers and mics as a standard feature for Android Wear. Perhaps they will support it in Oreo.
