I have to resort to the trash cannon mounted in maintence, loaded with welding fuel. "GOD SAVE THE GREYTIDE!" the trashball shreds two antags in the blast, the sound and the extra shrapnel sets of fire alarms. double grab spear charge the last terrified antag. He bleeds out waiting on the admin to arrive because spears in this codebase cause massive IB. Just as the greytide intended
@@joegrits9859 based on the mention of the thirteen mechanic of "husking" I assume it's 13, in which bolas can be crafted with like 20 steel and 5 plastic assuming you use an auto/protolathe to print the cables
@@Nothinwrongwithbasic husking... and trash cannons.... and internal bleeding... improvised bolas can be crafted with just iron and cables, which turns into iron and glass if you use an autolathe. real bolas are rarer
hah nice, although I don't understand why admin involvement is required in that situation, sec has full capacity to deal with that in character given that you did not harm anyone. Personally as someone who plays sec having some greytider shenanigans makes the round more fun, if theres nothing else going on.
@@Vinzaf yeah I guess so, but address that if it keeps happening not for once off things. Although with that said the admin didn't do anything drastic so it was fair enough. I just enjoy keeping it in character and not calling admins every time something minor happens lol
While only the admin knows for sure i assume they (the admin) simply happened to witness it and the server probably has a rule against self-antag so thats why he got bwoinked especially since he did speedrun to do it (like it wasnt even 3 min since roundstart). Which really makes it looks like hes just there to selfantag and blow stuff up which is usually people even LRP servers dont want.
big part of playing sec is talking with prisoners, cause it can be fun. but yeah, sometimes ppl just hang about and meanwhile, nukies break into the armoury
The entire sec team handling a single assistant who used the equivalent of a bottle rocket is hilarious but on a sublevel also really depressing,whats worse is whats normally an IC issue was Immediately ahelped. kinda unfortunate that the admin presiding didnt immediately label it as such

Gotta love when on LRP, antags can just go murderbone and stuff, but some random greytide gets you boinked. Also fun when I was playing on MRP as sec and caught same dude 4 times, dropped him in perma just for admin pull him out, moan about rules that I need wardens approval (by that time that dude already killed and injured a few crew mates and I was the only sec) for perma. Moments later I got blackpowdered and set on fire by syringe gun resulting in instadeath with disposal of my body. I am looking at you, Yogstation shitmins.
Literally me on other MRP. I’m getting ahelp probably in at least every few rounds(to clarify.. without any actual consequences cause what I’m doing is actually in accordance to the rules). Whether while playing some sec or head role, or just for an ordinary role. F.e. while I was playing as a HoP somebody called me for smth. Turns out it was some brainwashed dude. He stabbed me a few times before I knocked him out with a taser. Then shortly after that, some other dude asked me to open the engi door and there was a drugged HoS, one random dead sec dude and some other dude with.. guess what? The same damn kitchen knife! Then some sec guy bursts in and try to fight of the knife-guy. Shortly after that he slips on a damn puddle. Knife-dude attacks me and gives me another two holes. This time I took the stun baton that officer dropped, cause my taser was dead. I knocked the dude of and cuffed him. After all this crap HoS wakes up and head of to the med, I’m taking the sec belt from the floor in this engi room and taking it to sec. I’ve told some guys there about this crazy turnout of events. Shortly after that I’m getting ahelp message about how I wasn’t supposed to do the secs’ job. I’ve fended them of just for some admin to yell at me for saving my own life. Thankfully this time he fucked off when I told him to check the logs and it turned out that he just wasn’t actually paying attention and I actually didn’t know what was waiting for me.
That’s just one of many examples. Sorry for my bad English. Also there’re so many admins that are playing on the server as characters and are actually confused about the fact that MRP is not HRP.
Welcome to SS14 were the admins punish the most minor of offenses and then let murderers and gibbers run free because they have the "correct" politics.
@@Clown_the_Clown imagine playing as a spider and getting ahelped and later burned to the crisp for not being evil after somebody emaged the recycler that spawned from the new year’s present, killed a half a server, including captain, while some other spider does the same and chilling. It’ll be sufficient to add that I died not cause of the recycler but because somebody got a damn singulo in their present. Also, later admins spawned the same captain as a borg and moved on as if nothing happened.
the admin wasn't mad, you're confused. They were chill and just had to inform the player that self-antag isn't allowed on the server. Stop acting like talking to a rule breaker is the most horrid oppressive action to ever exist.

I got banned from Delta-V for placing 2 ieds in a lawyer's office, one exploded but the other didn't. an officer arrested me and took the other ied with him. on our way to sec to sentence me, the bomb legit exploded on him midway through lol
IDK, some greytide action always makes the round more fun, especially for sec. I never report anyone for tiding unless they are going crazy(actually killing players, tiding when sec is already occupied with other threats, and so on)
Love how the captain has nothing better to do than play sec with AA and immediately say their ahelping over a desk being broken whilst the det is clearly running for trial mod complaining that you don’t have a last name
Now that i realize, everybody kinda can realize things at the station that require actual training or know how(like you know, a goddam IED), does that mean every passenger is, at least, a highly trained profesional? Like modern astronauts? Also why does the medications kinda work evenly on every species?

@@Clown_the_Clown Sure, makes sense, everyone does. The job can be stressful and confusing if you take it seriously. Is this person lying? Did they kill a scoff and disguise themself in their uniform or are they telling the truth that they found it in the trash? Is that guy not on coms or did they die in maints? I think 10 minutes should be the maximum amount of time and only for moderate assault charges, like killing someone for anger or having stolen contraband that is confirmed not from you( ie: found a syndie item and didn't turn it in). A big issue with sec itself is the looseness of the brig timer.
@@Cojoke Eh. Sitting in a prison with nothing to do for 10 whole minutes over at virtual crime isn't exactly fun. I've played sec quite a bit before, I know how stressful it can be. I also know many players use sec as an excuse to ruin the fun for other people.
Fourteen is a remake of ss13 in a newer engine, it has less lag problems and, as your comment said, cursed non-grid movement. And being downloadable on steam rather than BYOND The downsides is less server variety since there are only 2 active non-lizden servers that speak English, this leads to most servers being either harshly MRP or straight up no rp. as well as less content in general.
I kinda hate these gimmicks of just being a nuisance to sec for ruining wardens round, but yeah maybe do it with a story in why you did it will be funny at least rather than speed running getting trouble. This video only encourages people to do these behavior in the long run
ss14 sucks for admins not allowing fun but shitty RP without balls. Its pretty understanble because of furry lgbt+ developers that cannot really handle jokes, so the game sucks back to ss13, beloved
