One of the reasons why I like Alex Sarr at one for the Hawks because he walks into the league with continued growth and development with all NBA defensive team potential. Sarr can guard the perimeter and stay with smaller players. The Hawks would be fools to pass that up. I haven't mentioned his offensive potential which is clearly there.

I truly think he’s the most talented player is this years draft. I would take him right behind sarr and hope the blazers get him at 12/13 if he falls there
@jordandaher9652
@jordandaher9652 2 месяца назад
Taking him 12-13 is fine but I wouldn’t even go there to be honest. Respect your opinion of course and everything is speculative but he doesn’t have a single nba level skill right now. I like safer picks for the blazers second picks like Knetch and Holmes personally. Especially since they will likely take an upside swing with that first pick
@bronxroots6668
@bronxroots6668 2 месяца назад
@@jordandaher9652 “he doesn’t have a single NBA skill level”, is not only a very silly sounding statement, but it’s also ridiculous! When The Greek Freak was drafted, he wasn’t even as skilled as this kid is right now…period! If this kid is still growing, he has a shot at being the best player in this draft.
@xLeeroycranex
@xLeeroycranex 2 месяца назад
I would temper expectations on Salaun or Sarr...or "safe picks" like Knecht. Salaun is an inefficient shooter right now and doesn't have much skills beyond being athletic. Giannis, on the other hand, had good handling/shot creation and was way more efficient at the same age on top of being far more athletic than Salaun. Sarr is similar, can't handle well enough to create his own shot but more advanced than Salaun due to his ability to run to the rim and pass. I'd expect Sarr to do well in his first year or two but not really improve much due to his lack of ball handling as a tall player. Other guys like Knect....Blazers don't need more guards and some of the stuff he can do won't be as effective in the NBA. He can be like Rudy Fernandez at best, including the non-rookie Rudy Fernandez that was inconsistent. Essentially, in this draft, you want wings/forwards that can create their own shot and have other skills to back it up. Risacher, Williams, and to a slightly lesser extent, Holland. Then, Matas Buzelis is like a role player version of that. With the Warriors pick, I would say to take Clingan, if available, but Clingan has a foot problem that might mess him up (history isn't kind to 7 footers with foot problems). Otherwise, I think Edey will be worth the gamble, mostly to replace Robert Williams III. This draft is for a third option wing and depth. Next two drafts will be the ones for more stars.
@pdxgolfpro
@pdxgolfpro 2 месяца назад
I agree that if he's available at 12/13 count yourself infinitely lucky and take him. 33% from 3 at just 18 yrs old is decent for shooting. He's still a bit raw but his size and athleticism are extremely enticing. He reminds me a little of Michael Porter Jr, and maybe a little bit of the Greek Freak. He has Huge upside especially if he is still growing a little. His maturation growth curve would probably pair well with the youth movement that the Blazers are going with currently in Scoot and Sharpe. Honestly other than Sarr, he's probably the player I like the most in the Lottery projected picks. If Blazers get unlucky with the ping pong balls and their pick drops lower than 5, I would consider taking him at 7 or 8.
@pdxgolfpro
@pdxgolfpro 2 месяца назад
@@xLeeroycranex I do think Risacher or Williams are maybe safer bets right now, but there's just something intriguing about Salaun's Size and athleticism. I think his floor realistically is somewhere around the Michael Porter Jr level. With his athleticism his ceiling could be maybe be 70%-80% Giannis. If he's there at 12 I think you gotta take that swing. I've also like the idea of Blazers taking a Center in this years draft.. While I like Clingan's' size, I agree his injury is troubling especially given the Blazer's history with injuries to bigs. I prefer Edy over Clingan personally but if you can pick up Edy or another center in the 2nd round that would be my preference. Really like Tyler Smith but he may not be there by 2nd round.

Highlights can make any player look good. He’s shooting .329 on 4.2 threes attempted per game which is well below the league average of .366. He’s also below league average in FT% I wouldn’t take him unless you think his shot can drastically improve.
@coachtimmeh6826
@coachtimmeh6826 15 дней назад
Wemby shot like .289 from 3. He has good mechanics, if he’s hard working, his shot will come along in the nba. He’s also 18 playing against men in a very competitive pro league. How weird are you that you go immediately to the negative on this kid who very clearly has insane potential. The actual experts are now saying he is top 10.

I think the Spurs are likely to rush on Nikola Topic, they need a PG and if you remember Pop's strategy in the 2000s era, that's what they did, they already got Vassell as a Manu Ginobili like, now they need the PG. But A Danny Green-like Tidjy (I'm from Cholet, that's his nickname) never hurts for sure, that's just isn't the priority for now. Plus Mamu shows he can do a great job for those PF duties if you trust him like Wemby does.
@dillamadukes21
@dillamadukes21 Месяц назад
@@joachimmahoudeaux8619 Basketball isn't the same game that it was in the 2000's. Teams can't look to what worked for them in the past and allow that to influence their roster composition. The front office (hopefully) isn't trying to recreate a team from a bygone era of basketball, they're building a winning roster around their new superstar in this new NBA. The Spurs need a ball handling guard that can create for himself, his team mates, and SCORE the ball at three levels to stretch the floor. From the film I've seen from Topic, he struggles to score from the perimeter. That's not the sort of player you want around your 7'4 phenom who needs shooting and play making. If the Toronto Raptors pick conveys in this draft and the Spurs get 2 picks in the top ten, they should draft Cody Williams (Tidjane's potential doesn't fit in our rebuild timeline, I'm sure hell be great for whoever picks him up though) with their 1st pick and Rob Dillingham with the Toronto pick.
