I wish Purina could update the quality of the pellets. They should make them round instead of tubular . This would make it softer on the cats paws and most cats would be better able and willing to use the litter box .
I started using the pine pellets and have saved sooo much money. I've accumulated 5 cats 😭 and the cost of litter of killing my wallet. So thank you ! I saw your review and tested it out. Love the pine pellets
I used the Breeze system for about two years, and although I liked it, it got too expensive(I’m on disability). I tried pine pellets, but the wet sawdust clogged the holes in the sifter. I eventually went back to clumping clay(which my cat prefers anyway).
@@davidwayne9982 don't use the pellets that came with the box, use pine pellets instead. But mix some of the pine pellets with their current litter and reduce the portion of the old litter eventually. Then take away the old litter box plus the old litter and leave only the system with the pine psllets.
@@amyhoang9140 I've been doing that.. NOT WORKING.. one uses it to pee- but used the other for #2...and the other 2 won't touch it at all.. Iv'e had nothing BUT pine pellets-- last time I added some soft wood (very chopped up wood- almost like a sand- but it's wood) and that hELPED- but now it's not going through the holes in the box .
There is a lady I watch forgot name of her channel and she used a revised version of this - which I did . She got that box but used large puppy pads and regular pine litter ( from pet store or farm store)
A few people have linked me to her video. I tried it but I wasn’t a fan of using puppy pads or liners. It’s just extra waste generated. I recently made a video reviewing the tidy cat box with the pine. Hopefully it’s working for you though!
Hello I have a XL Breeze System. I have Feline Pine and I bought Multi cat pads which are good. I would try Wood litter which breaks down when urine hits them.
1. You can stretch the 3.5 bag out if you recharge the pellet to reuse. Soak the dirty pellets in soapy water for 2 hours, rinse several times. Airdried under the sun for a day or 2. 2. When change the pee pad, grab the 4 corner instead of rolling it. Also I bought plastic gloves at dollar tree 1.25 for 50 pairs. 3. Pick up the poop as soon as you can. 4. Do not be cheap and buy other brands of peepad, they dont work as good as the brand name. You will end up spend more to replace more often. 5. The biggest cons: Pray and hope your cats dont have diarrhea. Its a HUGE nasty mess. This is truly not for everyone. Pellets and pads are expensive. But for me the odor control is everything. It is so much better than any traditional litter I ever used. People whom visit my house doesnt believe and is very surprise that I have 4 cats.
So what cat litter do you recommend ? New time cat owner and trying to find one that has low fragrance (sensitive skin), low tracking, low dust! Thanks for all your reviews!
Yes highly recommend a sifting litter box. I tried it without and had to use a colander to sift 😂 I’ve only tried the arm and hammer and this tidy cat one. I prefer the arm and hammer way more, but if you use liners then the tidy cat one might be easier clean up.
I wanted this for my breathing-- I have health issues and breathing is one of them- and wanted this to help that- and be better for my 3 "sons" (cats) too... BUT I can't get them to use it.. they stand and look at it and won't go in.. they go back to the clay.. I've tried mixing some.. and that doesn't help. BESIDES-- if it hurts for YOU to step on the pellets- imagine what it does to their little feet!!
Seems like a lot of work. Regular quality litter does the whole job without all the separate parts. Plus, for the same money, you can get far more than 3.5 lbs.
Seriously, I have 3 cats... I change pellets every few months 3+. You are not using the sleeved scoop, with allows the pellets to go thru. One box upstairs is only used as pee area for one finicky cat, and I spoon out the discolored urine every month, about 2 tablespoon worth (she only pees in the front of box).
So you don't need to use the pellets or the tray. You can get pine wood pellets from the tractor supply store. It turns into sawdust but there's a lady on youtube that showed us how to use the one that turns to sawdust and no tray and it's an easy system. I found the link ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-HGhQc-B3euM.html
YOu could get the large puppy pads and cut them in half if you want to use them. I'm NOt- I made mine so the sawdust goes through and I get the rest scooped out- and I COMPOST the sawdust for my roses.. THAT IS-- IF -- I F my cats ever start using it.. :)
Tried this...highly do not recommend it. They do not hold the same amount of liquid and you are bound to have a dripping mess compared to the other ones.
That's totally gross waiting 5 days. Maybe you can't smell it but animals have way better olfactory receptors then we do. That is so unhealthy for the animal.
