After very KC Cup it is tradition to have a banlist, usually a meta warping one. And in a Tier 0 format where Salamangreat has overrun Duel Links, how will Konami deal with them in the coming banlist?

I like your ideas here. That said, I dont think they'll ban Roar. I think Konami has been gradually....slowly....but surely trying to bring in Archetypal Negates into the game to get people accustomed to "dealing" with them. Its probably why Blackbird Close got made more accessible for Blackwings recently, why World Legacy Secret came (even at 1) and Photon Lord is still a thing, too We haven't gone full Ash Blossom or Infinite Impermanence yet but they seem to be testing the waters

Putting both Roar and Gazelle to 2 is a neat idea. That way Salads are locked from Limit 2 cards without losing cards from its own archetype. I think that, alongside a Limit 3 to Circle, would lower the power of Salads just enough for them to still be playable but not broken. If they're still Tier 0 after that, then Konami can just swing the ban hammer even harder.

Even before they started running e con they were already super strong. All they will do is change the staples for other staples like warning point.

I honestly prefer it when they hit box cards, yes, it ruins prior investments (so does giving the deck limits in general), but I prefer needing to farm less of a box card for what then becomes the optimal build over having f2p cards that you are guaranteed to have becoming more restrictive or useless in the case of bans. I do understand that from Komoneys perspective it is way more beneficial to hit f2p cards over box cards tho because it does the reverse of what I mentioned, making dig in a box for what is then the optimal version of the deck. Edit: Imo the banned card trade system should be expanded to all limited box cards tho

I would say put roar and gazelle to 2, jaguar to 1 and wolf to 3. If roar is banned the deck is dead.

Personally I thought that the best possible hits for the deck would have been: -gazelle and roar to 2 -sunlight wolf and sanctuary to 3 However I actually really like the idea of banning roar tbh, I feel like that would be a really good, if not the best way to hit the deck. I think that putting both roar and sanctuary to one is also an option, however hitting the card that enables reincarnation link summons isn‘t a good idea. I honestly think that they could even limit wolf to 1 to prevent him from reincarnating, but I don‘t think that that would be a great hit either.

Hope they nerf Galaxy Eyes too. For it to be a deck of "did you draw DD crow or you lose" deck is so absurd for so long. You interrupt one of their plays with a non-DD Crow card and they have 2-3 more extensions. So fun.

Banning Roar seems kinda wild but I get what you are trying to say 😅. Honestly it is pretty hard to determine which hit would be the best for salads. But still I agree with the sunlight wolf limit to 2, since it would most definetly help out balancing the fire power of the deck with it's acces to limit 2 staples. Yet I feel like hitting jack jaguar, circle and/or gazelle to 3 is maybe either overkill or fine for the deck. Gazelle is and will always be a part of the deck just due to how good that card is. But jack jaguar could easily be ran at 1 copy depending on if we get support for the archtype soon. Imo the deck still has some scary potential, especially with update jammer already being out in the game. Skinny or accesscode talker could easily make this deck a menace for the meta again! That's just my take tho :D

Totally agree with limited 2 and limited 3 but ban roar and world legacy idk that's impossible both of them main cards for the sal and Mekk-Knight it's like killing the deck i think Mekk-Knight ur monster will take limited 3 too cause he used too much with sal and sal will take limited 3 and limited 2 one enemy controler and one for trap cards used with or ban gazelle limited 1 Sal will not used with Mekk-Knight anymore

I say roar should go to 1 first, at least to stop mekk-salads from dropping the double negate on you with world legacy secret. I like the other limits you suggest though

Salad is super f2p, so expect a heavy hit. Imo i think: Gazelle or roar to 1. Wolf to 2. Circle to 3. I also think that galaxy skill may get nerfed because of the amount of people using it, there was a point in this kc where i got 5 or 6 galaxies back to back... Maybe make so you have to discard for n90, and/or make it so you need to discard a monster from hand and a monster from the deck for the 4k xyz. Mekknight xan be nerfed, but i dont think it will.

Im shouting for Balelynx to 1/2. Without it Salads lose a LOT of consistency in their turn one board (as well as their later boards as well), and losing the destruction protection. I’d say putting roar and or gazelle at 2/3 in addition also could help

Soulburner is not even the preferred character for his own archetype anymore. What are the odds of TTTB getting a nerf too like Beatdown? And also what if they released Rage instead, a non-targeting destruction instead of Roar, do you think that would have been a fairer card?

If roar gets ban, salads would become a tomato can deck, its their core play. Removing access to strong staples is a good enough nerf

Personally my salad banlist would be balelynx or (Roar and Gazelle) to 2 and jaguar to 3. They can keep roar as long as they don't run the other bs backrow staples.

i'd rather balelynx to be a limit 2 and another card tbh. I feel like people don't really consider it all that much, but one of the annoying problem is how often and easy they can just protect their monster(s). If they only bring 1 copy, it will at least make it easier to go through them instead of constantly going against a wall, potentially speeding up the duel as well.

banning roar can be a think but i don't think they are going to do it. The question be how unfair the card is? Sur it's a recyclable omni negate but it's not a generic card and that maybe save him from be banned. Cyberstein is ban for be a stupid FTK degenerate card , grass is an instant win button for mill deck , hey trunade is an instant win for OTK deck and cocytus is a generic water blockade . Also if they limit sunlight wolf , the skill can still duplicate him so this does not solve the issue.

Instead on focusing on limiting Salads, Just ban World Legacy Secret... That card is too broken tbh... but if they limit some card on Salads I think Balelynx to 2 and Circle to 3 is enough... Salads is not that strong if the counter trap is already removed by a backrow...

Konami will prob just do a limit 2 on them first. I can see them putting circle to 2 which would make the salad players do another run of the link revolution box to get a third mining as a replacement which makes the deck more expensive. konami likes expensive because it makes them more money. I also can see them do any of the f2p card hits as mentioned in video.

The problem is the decks we have in duel links can compete somewhat with salads, but all the good decks have heavy limits or they straight up nerf their skill. Bring back invoked cocytus… I’m done

They won't limit or hit Infernity. I actually main Infernity and while the deck is pretty unfair to play against if the Infernity player went first, from second, Infernity decks are actually easily disrupted. Like, literally just D.D. Crow their Infernity Archfiend when it's in the graveyard and the deck falls apart from there. Also, I don't think anyone except me plays Infernity considering how expensive that deck is to build and how hard it bricks if you didn't open with both Infernity Archfiend and a way to revive it from the graveyard. Konami only hits the decks that are popular with high win rate, which is something Infernity decks are not. Every once in a blue moon you'll face that random Infernity player that loops Infernity Launcher and sacks you, but it's not a very common deck so I don't get what your gripe with it is. Infernity decks also can't do anything without looping their Launchers, thus making the deck unplayable if Launcher were to get hit.

I guess Konami must balance this deck by having much stronger decks instead of crippling Salads entirely, if you play against infernoids it's basically a dead match for Salads and I think Konami should just make it fair by having much stronger decks out there... I'm so scared of the ban list honestly, I'm a f2p player and for once I was able to play something that doesn't automatically lose to book of moon please Konami don't kill salads entirely...
