I've been carrying this Dynamis Razorback combat knife (or fighting knife, or whatever) for a few weeks and I couldn't wait to share it with you. This knife is designed by former Tier 1 operator, Dom Raso. Dom was a member of what the public knows as "Seal Team 6". Dom partnered with the legendary Daniel Winkler to craft these absolutely top shelf CCW knives. Check them all out at:

That price point is insane, how about some economically viable options? That's as much $ as I make in a week. Insane.

I’ve reviewed literally hundreds of budget knives on the channel. Do you mean “economically viable” concealable fighting knives ?

@@SurvivalOnPurpose I did, my mistake. I have seen some nice blades for cheaper here though I suppose they weren't concealable fighting blades. Should've read that one again before I hit send.

80CrV2 is a tough, low cost steel. There are better options. I realize that you get a case and online instruction, but $555 is too high.

Love it. I've been looking at these blades a lot lately and reading Fearless about Adam Brown after recently watching Dom's interview on The Shawn Ryan Show. Dom really inspired me to be a better man after watching that. Will definitely go back and watch your video with him. Thanks for showing the blade! I was very tempted to buy one over the 4th of July sale!

Man, the people complaining about the price. He told you it wasn't Walmart pricing, and he's reviewed hundreds of knives that may fit into your budget. If you dont like the price, dont buy one. I know very little about combat knives, but it looks like a nice knife for its intended purpose. A used Ford escort may get you from point A to point B but not nearly as safely or comfortably as a Mercedes. If you want the escort, buy one. If you can afford the Mercedes and you want one, buy that instead.

Went through five Volkswagens. I was about to get the 2024, but then I looked at a Honda Trail Sport, and that actually has same features and has a real V6 engine. 8k less. So when it comes to vehicles a lot of times you’re just paying for the name. That knife is actually priced perfect for what it is. The steel is to maintain the edge, but it doesn’t come razor-sharp because it’s more about stabbing than slashing if you look at his defense videos. The handle and the way the knife is set up is to deploy those moves in an instant. However, I would not pay any more for a knife, not unless it’s a safe queen collector…aka Borka Blades.

@SurvivalOnPurpose
@SurvivalOnPurpose Месяц назад
Materials don’t drive the price of knives nearly as much as people seem to think. Business costs such as R&D, marketing, overhead, insurance and other assorted costs play a much larger role than many people realize. And, hopefully, there’s something in there for good old fashioned profit because the family has to eat and have a place to live.

Small finger guards would be usefull on a self defence blade . As I'd rather not cut my own hand . Also the handle should be a little longer which would stabilise the grip . Thank you 😊
@SurvivalOnPurpose
@SurvivalOnPurpose 24 дня назад
This is the compact version. Although it is really designed for Don’s preferred reverse grip fighting style, the gimping on the thumb ramp does provide some traction against slipping up on the blade. Honestly, after watching some of Dom’s videos I understand why the reverse grip makes sense.

@SurvivalOnPurpose Месяц назад
Not sure why. It’s a knife. A very well made knife thoughtfully designed for one purpose by someone who is exceedingly qualified to know what works well for that purpose. As I said, it is not a low budget option, so it obviously isn’t for everyone.
@papimaximus95
@papimaximus95 Месяц назад
@@SurvivalOnPurpose No 3.25" fixed blade is worth $555 unless it is made of precious metals. There are other "operators" who have used other knives so this can't be the ultimate design. There is nothing overly special about this knife other than its' maker. But hey, people are free to spend their money on anything they want.

@ogarzabello

Defensive knives must have finger or hand guards. If they don't and you hit a bone while stabbing, your hand will slip, and you will cut your hand with your own knife, possibly losing the fight and your life. I guess the keyboard commandos will say something like, "It will never happen if you use the knife the right way..." Yeah, right, just check with emergency MDs in tough places where there is a lot of crime and gang violence.

Crazy stupid price point! Brian this video is an absolute fail for the majority of your viewers. One could buy a nice compact pistol for the that price and be better served. It's NO wonder you didn't want to put it through the balance test with the cost of it whether you purchased it or not.
@SurvivalOnPurpose
@SurvivalOnPurpose Месяц назад
I don’t see why so many people seem actually offended that I dare show a higher end knife. Or how this is a “fail” for anybody. Did I say you should buy it or even insinuate that you are somehow less than perfect if you don’t? All I am doing is showing an example of what I think is an excellent design and supreme workmanship. I clearly said this a high end knife. The only reason I can think of that some folks seem genuinely offended by this is because maybe they really liked the knife until they found out the price and they are pissed because they might like to have one but it costs more than they want to spend on a knife. Although I assure you if you have ever gone to Blade Show there are MANY knives priced MUCH higher that sell very consistently. And I didn’t put it through the balance test because it is a purpose built knife designed for one thing: hand to hand combatives. I see no reason to potentially damage the knife and diminish its potential to fulfill its sole mission in life. And, yes, I purchased it. Because I don’t need another nice compact pistol, but I did want a solid self defense blade I could trust to perform if I really needed one. And I trust Dom’s experience.
