Every meta has a surprise deck but be honest who the hell expected this.

What excites me most is that this deck doesn't look prohibitively expensive either, barring Vessina.

I've been trying to play this deck, but every time I play a totem, opponent treats it like lethal setup.

How about Hench Clan Hag instead of Violet Teacher? Makes 2 tokens guarantee, and they're both counted as totems!

After I saw Chump's video 2 days ago, I tried this deck myself and it blew me away. The Demon Hunter matchup is brutal, but other than that it can really got off.

Just tried this deck out, won 7/10 games in Wild with it! Only modifications I made was subbed in Bloodlust for Vessina and a Lightning Storm for 1 Splitting Axe. It held up well against Druid and Rogue very nicely! Was a close game vs Warlock but couldn't quite pull off the W against Darkest Night Lock build. Either way, VERY nice deck!

i have been preaching Totem Shaman for 3 days now on youtube , he finally made the Vid …..but im sad now as I wanted this deck to stay low key as ive been crushing the ladder with my version of totem shaman and I have not had 1 mirror match.....it looks like regis made a few changes like adding violet teachers , the augmentor and stormforged axes , which I kind of like these changes but I have had so much success with unbound elemental but I might look for room for the stormforged axes... Also I don't have Vessina so I thought of using Vargoth and hes honestly busted with the 0 mana totem buffs on curve if you buffed a totem on turn 3 and didn't have your splitting axes , you can curve into vargoth with a 0 mana spell on turn 4 to make ur 2 buff totems from turn 3 HUGE

This excites me Because I used totems to climb to diamond 5 . I wasn't sure what totem cards were gonna leave the game cause I don't pay attention I'm happy the ax and 0 cost spells are still here. I haven't got to play any of my new cards just been so busy . But tonight's the Night Regis Ma Boy. What made it good last expansion is no one expected it at all .

Ive now 6-0 with this Deck. Got from Bronce 3 to Gold 10 until i stopped. Usally i play wild so it was pretty nice to see Embiggen Druid, Warlock und Demonhunter got wrecked xD This Deck is just amazing und fun to play. Crafting Vessina was 100% worth it. Thank you Regis for that amazing Deck!

I've been playing a variation of this deck for 2 days now and it works pretty well. If this is what shaman does this expansion, im cool with it. Its a lot of fun to play.

Who would win? A demon hunter that has aggressive power plays to destroy everything in its path. Or a shaman with a stick on the ground?

I played Totem Shaman in Descent of Dragons as I thought Splitting Axe would somehow kick butt. My deck was decent but now...NOW TOTEMS WILL RISE

Wow. I will take _some_ credit here, I was one of the few people saying that even if most totems suck, totemic reflection is good; but I *did not* expect it to be tier 1. I was expecting it to be tier 3. Btw, the reason this is super busted is because totemic reflection is actually _super_ high tempo when you think about it. Assuming you hit even a 0/2, it's essentially a 3 4/6 that comes with 2 burst damage, not to mention you double any abilities that totem has! That on its own probably wouldn't be enough, but combine that with 0 mana spells that give your Totems +2 atk and +2 health, and you can hit some *absurd* tempo swings. You may laugh at Totemic Might and Surge, but Totemic Surge is essentially a 0 mana Savage roar, but as a pernament buff as long as you have totems - the only reason it's been so bad for so long is because having totems was quite the drawback before. Also Splitting Axe was kind of a slept on Card imo. A 3/2 weapon is kinda worth 2 and a half mana, and combined with bundle value, you only need to have an effect worth about half a mana to be a Card that's worth it. Now idk about you, but I would say playing a copy of *every one* of your totems is worth half a mana even if totems suck.

I've played around with Henchclan Hag, and it feels pretty good. Just thought I should share that.

Regis I played the deck Europe from diamond 10 ...I went diamond 5 with score 9-0 amazing job show this deck

Played couple of matches with this deck and I have to say, even tho it's fun to play, it's inconsistent. Bad draws make you lose immidiately.. On the top of that, matches vs DH are tough and we know there are lots of them nowadays... I play without the splitting axe cause I didnt want to craft it before I test out the deck but I don't feel it would change THAT much. If I won't get a totem-ish hand or only 3 mana drops, even splittings axe woudn't help...

The first deck I built this expansion... I was laughed at!

I just played around 10 games with this and imo its biggest weakness is that you run out of fuel REALLY fast, I've tried swapping the merchant with a novice but idk

Generally if you have the 2 - 3 curve with reflections it's looking so good for you you almost can't lose

i now regret making brian kibler’s highlander quest shaman, only had enough dust to make the quest. this deck is so much better, wish i has made this, have most of the cards, only needed vessina

I played totem shaman in whispers. I can tell you, totems are 2 GOOD cards from being top tier always. We used to play a 1 mana 0/4 taunt just to protect our turn 2 totem. That's always stuck with me about how surprisingly powerful totems can be.

Regis, you know the +2 health on Mana tide would get copied with Totemic Reflection. Hence you could have had a buffed Augmerchant after all

I've recently made a wild deck similar to this and it stomps if they don't respect the totems. Still wish we got some actual full totem support though.

That quest hunter in the first game probably closed the game and spent a good deal of time wondering how he was burst down on turn 5 by a TOTEM deck. That's like being killed by an angry squirrel--sure, it's theoretically possible, but you never consider it a possibility.

Is this deck worth to craft without splitting axe and Vessina? I know it’s to early to craft stuff but without these 2 cards it’s like 200 dust so I don’t really care.

Stuff like this is partly why I still believe DH didnt even need nerfs to begin with...given time people will eventually find things to respond to any meta. I'm super curious to see what will happen in a week from now.

matched up against a totem shaman, at first It was kinda easy, but in the end I didnt had much faith in the totems and he just bloodlusted and OTK'd me, so ya dont underestimate the power of this deck

Thunderhead would be a better violet teacher right? you have better synergy with overload than you do spells for either card.
