In the premiere I wanted it to be Rugby Town. Thrilled they're the pick. Might have to give it a go myself with either them or Guernsey after last year's series being awesome.
@@JoshK-z1k pretty sure it was on purpose, once he selects that team he cant change teams for the rest of series. just imagine down the line signing bellingham as a meme and the inbox article says bellingham becomes a new salami.🤣
Actually he said pretty early that he'll be moving about this year, not staying with a club for the whole save. But you're right that its likely a bit "meme" for the longterm save.@@urban0111
@@urban0111 hahah, probably! although if he does a journeyman save this year it probably won't get that far with rugby anyway would be cool if this year's journeyman save jumps around the home nations a bit en route to the prem, no reason that "park to prem" has to go through league one if it's a journeyman save
I have managed Rugby town in every single FM since FM18. In FM 23 they start so overpowered for their league that I went unblemished through my first league season with them despite losing my entire starting line-up to bigger clubs over the course of the season. The facilities they have are ridiculous for a level 8 or 9 team. Last FM I took them to a champions league win with an entirely homegrown line-up. If you can get the board to accept requests to improve your youth recruitment and junior coaching a couple times you'll be getting a steady flow of incredible regens.
I'm looking forward to this series! Inspired me to do my own P2P in FM23 with Walton & Hersham. This year, FM24, I got the Guiseley AFC job, currently 2nd first season in October.
Love the idea of bringing Rugby up several leagues as a football club. I think it’d be an amazing one team save and take them all the way to the top, but I understand we got that last year and you want a different feel this time.
As we can’t sign players yet would it make sense to get a better assistant manager to get a true reflection on the player ratings, as the players could be worse than actually showing,
I got so excited when you clicked on 1874 Northwich as it's my local club, my dad and his mates go religiously home and away. Just a side note, 1874 Northwich and Northwich Victoria are two separate clubs. Vics are still going, I believe, and 1874 are supports owned.
My first FM I’ve bought for PC, and I’ve gotten horribly addicted. It’s all I think about, all I want to do. Jack has scratched an itch I didn’t even know I had. Excited to see where we go!
Was so excited to see a new park to prem series started, until I heard it wasn't going to be a one club run. Those are the most memorable ones, the days of small Tow Law winning the champions league are how I found this channel. I will just wait for the next one I guess and in mean time rewatvh the old one club series'
Love this! Love the series! Love the team! My mate is the goalie for Rugby, Matt Hill. No doubt he’ll be gone by episode 2 now I’ve mentioned it 🤣. I’ll let him know his popularity may be on the rise In the next few weeks 🤣!
As someone who lived 30 seconds from Keys Park I was really hoping Jack would pick Hednesford Town! At least this way we don’t have to convince him that’s its spelt dumb and is actually pronounced “Hensford” 😂
Interesting choice there Jack. I've just got Bournemouth to 9th in the Premier League in the first season and aiming to start a save with Siena in Serie C to try and push to Serie A and beyond.
So glad this is back! every year I hope for my local club, fingers crossed for next year! How did you change the managers picture to yourself, rather than the created in game manager?
12:00 "I can always back myself to concede" I would have liked you to go for the Barton Rovers job as they are from same County as me, also the Hednesford badge is worse lol
Super excited about this. Just got my lower league save setup and I am waiting on it to holiday into the future so I can try and keep up with my own journey.
So I have to say I’m buzzing this is back, the last park to prem was the first football manager save I watched and got so into it and now I’m so excited for the new journey
Please dont switch clubs soooo much more fun to stay at one team and win everything. Last year was the 3rd Park To Prem i watched i think and instead of watching about 50 i watched over 120 episodes got way more atatched to it❤
After Tow Law Town I haven't been really able to keep with the following years' series, I'll try again this year, but nothing compares to that legendary save and of course the legendary Schvetzov (I think that's how you spell it)...
Glad to see the park to Prem back. I really needed to watch something while doing my current save: a Park to Prem with Wembley FC with a goal of getting a stadium called Wembley Stadium that is bigger than the actual Wembley Stadium 😂
Just started watching the series after a reddit recommendation. Enjoyed you getting the blazer on and then had to pause to laugh after you said "I can always back myself to concede" at 12:00
Hello, how do you have the game configured? Do you have the "do not add key employees" option added? That in the first chapter that side of how you configured the game with the camera is covered
Can’t believe my home town club is in one of these series. I’ve never thought about it but the training and youth facilities at Rugby Town really are excellent for the level
making me want to try a lower league save with Rugby town....I started with Truro. Managed to get Truro to VNL in the first season and got one of the loan players to stay permanently, but no one with any appreciable ability wants to join. Loans going elsewhere, even VNN/S teams getting them signed over me. The payroll is an absolute joke, but keeping mid-top table for now. I do almost feel bad that I replaced the club legends with new staff...but not really. it's a long row to hoe to get to the champions league...and I love it.
Hi Jack glad you picked Rugby cuz I play for gresley rovers reserves and looking to see how they do in the league, fingers crossed they don’t get relegated 😅
Hednesford is pronounced Henz-ford... used to be the furthest Southern team in northern prem. Ground surrounded by a national park. My own park to prme the glory days of a FM14 for me
I know the plan was to possibly hop clubs occasionally but the idea of taking Rugby to the top of Football just feels the right kind of wrong. Whatever happens excited for this, was hooked on the last series, let's go!
Probably a boring fact about Rugby school this… the novel Tom Brown’s School Days was set there. The book contained the character Flashman. Great series of books if you are ever after something to read.
