For everyone feeling bad about the ranking of GoT and Percy Jackson - All books in the "Great" tier and up for me are 4.5 or 5 star reads. They are extraordinary books and are amazing. But, I can't put every 5 star book I read into God or Demigod tier because while the books are amazing, some books made me feel more emotions. Some books mean more to be personally. The characters of some books made me feel more things. The worlds of some books made me react in different ways. Once we get to "Great" tier, the ranking says nothing about the quality of the books. It's how I related to each book and my emotions with them.
. For me, Shiva Trilogy still holds the god tier (emotionally😁). I read it when I was fourteen and the perspective it gave, the changes it brought, I can't pen it. Now, when I look back I do find some writing issues but still!. The video was great, though. As always!
Both the shiva trilogy and the ramchandra series were to hold the god tier!! Like seriously!! Soo many people love them including me ,they r simply beautiful.
Among the Things that I fear most to start, reading a book series is one. It eats my energy, made me mad and impatient that I have to pleade to my father, knees bent down with tears in my eyes. And, yeah, have to sacrifice many things to buy the second or third work of the series. On the other hand, it is a very good experience if any of my friends have the entire lot ready to be borrowed, but that's among the rarest of the rare chances.
Yeah I know. I’ve watched all of Alt Shift X’s videos haha. So I can see that there is crazy amounts of world building. Like I said in the end, the series will probably be bumped up in my list once I actually get down to finishing it..
I am just happy to have a booktuber who has the same soc energy as me. I think at this point my whole personality is based on my obsession with this series.
*six of crows spoiler* I realized something today. And I need to voice it out. Remember kaz's iconic line 'I would come for you' He could have just said that I would protect you or keep you safe but he doesn't . Even in that moment he knows that inej doesn't need to be protected or safe guarded .she is capable enough to do it herself. Instead he says that they would fight their way out together, like equals. Kaz Brekker is a feminist and he doesn't even know it.
This tier ranking was AWESOME!! Thank you so much for making this video 😘😘 I had so much fun watching it. Six of crows, HP and Ember in the ashes be like: Duh, we are like the usual god of gods😆 This video was God, too❣️❣️
Hunger games demi God? I found it easier to get in to than lord of the rings. Peeta and Katnis give me all the feels and i love the guy who does the interviews.
OH MY GOD😍loved this video. So many book series recommendations here, saving this video for future reference. Easily a one-stop destination for people who love reading book series💕
After watching many of your videos I ordered "A darker shade of magic" and "Anxious people" ...hope these two will be going to great journeys for me😁 looking forward ❤️
LotR is kind of like that one series which everyone likes so you sort of have to like it or else you are considered childish, but it isn't fast-paced. It is probably the only book I would ever recommend reading only after watching the movies, because of its sheer complexity. I like to think of it as everything Percy Jackson is not. It's not fast paced or have a huge plot twist, which Percy Jackson does, like in every book there is a small surprise, the biggest in the Last Olympian, but LotR is very complete, its ending and its composition gives no way to plot holes, which is not there in Percy Jackson, which borrows its entire history from Greek Mythology. In fact I rate every series on a scale of how Tolkienite or how Riordanese it is.
Looks like you're inspiring other Indian booktubers in many ways!! Again much editing work.. Great going. And thanks for ranking 'Handmaid's tale'. I was half expecting this. I've read very few series, but 'Ibis trilogy' by Amitav Ghosh is very close to my heart. For 'Me before you' by Jojo Moyes, I think, the first book ended perfectly and no need to be any other book after that, that's why I didn't try the other two.
Shiva Trilogy objectively speaking is bad, show not tell, cliche characters, era inappropriate language, contradictory messaging, twisted philosophical approach (and shallow too) etc etc. God i literally forced myself through that series 🙁
I agree completely. Felt the same while reading it for the first time, yet I kinda liked it because of the innovative concept. But retrospectively, it looks worse to me.
Hey! Do check out the Mistborn trilogy by Brandon Sanderson. Its an amazing fantasy series with mind-blowing amount of attention given to world building and characters development.
You should also read Dark Matter duology. It's not a fantasy, but a really good psychological thriller series. First is Dark Matter and second is Ressurection
But being in “Great Tier” doesn’t mean I didn’t like the book. I absolutely loved it!! And overall it’s a 5 star read for me. But, when it comes to ranking, other books made me feel more things emotionally, or they mean more to me personally than Percy Jackson. In fact, everything “great” tier and up are 4.5 or 5 star reads..
I love this one. Also, i was thinking to start 'infernal devices' since i got the books, but have u read the mortal instruments before the infernal series or it is not required. ??
Hello!!!! I've recently seen your channel and I'm glad. I commented earlier about The keeper of lost cities. Have you tried it?!! It's really good. Please try it and make a video!!!! It's a really good book and you will never want to stop reading it!!!
I share the same opinion for Shiva Trilogy and Ramchandra series... I mean for me both of them could one tier up than yours, but I definitely like Ramchandra series more than Shiva Trilogy and because of Sita and Raavan like you said!
Super Video. I have read some of the series you mentioned and I would rank them in the same way as you did. Guess our tastes are similar, excited to try the other God-tier books in your list. I read all the books in the A Song of Ice and Fire. I didn't finish the show. The books have a lot of characters other than the ones in the series. But unfortunately, the series is not complete and when and if the new book comes out will have to re read all the rest just to catch up. It is so refreshing to see you being honest about Twilight, I completely agree with you. I loved it when I was a teenager too. Even now, although I know some parts of it are really problematic, it still makes me nostalgic. Have you tried the series "No:1 Ladies Detective Agency" by Alexander McCall Smith? I love them, they are not heavy with the mystery element, but it is a fun, light, short read.
Harry Potter is God of the gods in the genre of fantasy. Even today I feel guilty when I like a fantasy series like I loved Harry Potter. Still feel disloyal 😁🤢 Our childhood friend and partner ☺☺
Everything looks good except Game of thrones... I think it deserves to be in God tier, with Lord of the rings... To me, Game of thrones is a life changing series. Maybe, you should read the rest of the series... Anyway, tomorrow (29th) is my birthday...
Omg!!! such a fun video to watch!!! I have not read many of these but My God tier series are same as u, soc and hp, I can never put them in any other tier, does not matter how old I get.. lots of love to u ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ I wish you have included 'good girls' guide to murder' series!!!!
Yess!! Those books are just sooo dear to me. I didn’t add Good Girl’s Guide because I’ve only read the first book. So I felt it was unfair to judge the series since I’ve only read one..
Yeah, I really really love the show. But for the books, I couldn’t really judge the entire series when I haven’t read the whole thing. Like I said in the end, it’ll probably be bumped up once I finish it..
I saw truly devious book here and I clicked on the video 😂😂 I like to know other people opinion on the books I like. And if you don't know truly devious book 4 is out 😁😁 a month ago.
Can you pls let me know which app u use to rank these books....not to mention this is a great video and i feel there was a lot of hard work behind this video 😀
Finally! I've been waiting for this video. I still keep wondering how similar our tastes are. :D lol. I predicted every series you'd put in the God tier accurately! I haven't read a lot of the series in your list. But there are quite a lot of others that I read that isn't in your list. But the books in your lists that I've read...I would rank them all the same way you did. with only one exception: I'd put Shiva trilogy above Ramchandra series.
Love your book recommendations 😍😊❤️ Please suggest some best books in english but i am not pro in english. That's why maureen Johnson books are little tough for me. 😭😰 please help me out please😞 Love you❤️🥰
After making the video, I realised I forgot almost 5 other series. But I forgot them because I’ve only read one book in the series. Like for Lunar Chronicles, I’ve only read Cinder. So I think that’s why I forgot to include them..
@@gadhasr6118 I honestly can’t remember why I didn’t continue the series. I think it was also at that time I went through a massive reading slump. Which lasted 2 years..so I think I just never picked up the next book because of that 🙈
