The Indian pony is one of my all time favorite molds! I just love her to death! Lady Phase is another of my all time favorite molds. I have many of her including the original from when she was first released. Plus several customized ones including a vintage blue roan that was painted back in the 80s. The Welsh Cob is one of the few more modern sculpts that has a face that could make some of Chris Hess faces look good. Almost bought one once until I saw his nose. With Man O War, the thing I think I like about him, despite his flaws, is the high head, haughty attitude. Considering everything I've heard about the real horse it just fits so well. I can imagine the real Man O War standing there looking down his nose at the people around him because I think he knew he was horse royalty. I'm really enjoying this series, keep up the good work!
Interesting story about the set of 4 deco Khemosabies. They were sitting out loose on the silent auction table during BF, which was the norm at the time, & some clueless lady allowed her small child to play with them which resulted in them being damaged. The winner told Breyer they needed to repair the models so they were taken back to NJ after BF & restored then shipped to the auction winner. This is also why all the silent auction models are now in display cases.
I'm the same about Khemosabi, I loved the real horse but am sad how his model turned out, he looks better with tack on. I want to say thank you sooo much for being so sweet to my childhood Breyer Lady Phase 😍 she's so special to me since my parents got her for me knowing how horse crazy my sister and I were they would get us a Breyer for Birthdays or Christmas.
Aww, that's sweet about Lady Phase. Sherman Morgan plays that role for me, and I'll probably touch on it more in my next video. Interesting note about Khemosabi looking better tacked up - I don't think I've ever looked for an example! I do know someone recently showed a less-than-great older model in a performance show in my region (maybe the old Black Beauty?) and cleaned up - so I guess it's very possible! :)

Becuase there anatomy is a bit wonky! But I love that about his models! The faces are all so funky that its adorable! 💚💚 And 10:40 Adnonis is it spelled? Yeah I agree with your opinion!! That moment made me laugh!! 💙💙
Glad I could make your day a little better. :) Yes, Chris Hess models definitely all have a...style, lol. I agree that sometimes the faces are so funky they're actually adorable - we haven't yet gotten to a foal model I got for exactly that reason. And at least I'm not the only one who feels that way about Adonis. Such a monstrosity!
