Wow, kind of amazing that the pieces themselves were the right size after how badly they screwed up the fixture. Although maybe the fixture was right and the pieces had been made wrong - LOL. Hope you've been able to cope with the crazy heat down there!
I think they made the fixture for a different part revision and never told me. Usually I just weld the parts without a fixture but this was different. Thanks Chris.
Hope your feeling better there Terry. It is 50 ft from my house to my shop which is 90+ deg now...I turn around and walk back...no welding till it cools down...just play around cleaning up and fixing things lol. I can't take the heat anymore. I tend to blackout from heat stroke easily. Thanks for taking us along on the job.
Glad to see you got it figured out Terry. Age certainly does play a part in how well we cope with extremes for sure. Happy to hear you are fine after your bout with the Rona. Hope your wife does as well. :)
Good to see ya again Terry. Yeah the heat has been something for sure. Glad your feeling better. Hope all goes well with you wife. Have a great day brother
I'm glad you and your wife didn't have severe symptoms with that virus, if that med you got works they should go ahead and approve it, after all the shots were experimental . Probably I am the only one that doesn't know, but what kind of gas do you use with the tig welder?
Glad to see you kicking. Still owe you a burger. Maybe after iv had that stuff and gotten over it. Could do a zoom meeting but without the smell of the BBQ or burgers, wouldn't be the same. Glad you guys are good to go.
I got it twice now. Is that a watch on your arm or a get smart phone :) It's been in the high 80's up here , never seen 111F like Texas , don't want to see it 😅
Yeah its a smart watch. I can be about 30 feet from my phone and it buzzes my arm for text, calls or emails. Tells me how many steps I take and blood pressure too. 20$ on Amazon. It's hot but It is only hot for 4 months then wonderful for 8 months. Thanks Steve
Howdy, Ive been watching some of your videos for welding vacuum pipes. I was wondering what settings you use on your tig machine to get the perfect arc and penetration. Thanks.
The way I do it is simple. I just know how long it will take me to do the job and multiply that by the shop rate and add any materials with mark up of coarse.
