A tip if I may from someone who has fallen from a pole using spikes, make sure you have a belt around the tree that is fastened into a waist harness, and then also have a seperate safety strap that you move up the tree as you go. They pulled a 7 1/4 in long splinter out of my stomach after I bounced down a pole, wily coyote style, when my spike hit a rotten spot on the telephone pole I hadn't seen. Not to mention the 3 weeks on crutches for the sprained ankle and twisted knee that 20 years later, still hurts when the rain is coming.
During the beginning of the tree climb, before you were in camera view, I was thinking, "He better be climbing that tree with his helmet on!" You never fail to disappoint! 🤣
I watched a guy scrape his nose right off his face on a big fir tree when he was playing grab ass with a pair of climbing spurs and tried to hot shot on the way down. . I don’t think he ever did it again.
I was planning to build just this thing (got tall trees shading the veggie patch), but I was stuck thinking I had to make the spurs out of solid plate. Thanks for sharing, this is a much simpler and lighter solution. 🤙
Although the bears are pretty common, them dropping down on people isn't. You are going to be completely safe against drop bear attacks if you wear football gear as your bush gear.

6061. com personally I would like to see basic stuff. I completely switched my setup based on your cup, tungsten and rod suggestions for aluminum and have been super happy. I’m sure plenty of people would love more in depth stuff, different styles, basic knowledge of welding stainless vs aluminum. Also, I couldn’t find on the site where you buy your consumables. If you have an amazon link or site you recommend, I would gladly purchase from there.

my dad made a pair years a go. No that nice Stainless but they worked great for climbing in to tree stands with out having a ladder or drilling foot pegs into the tree. Also if the power company turns your power off at the pole. Well fuxk you power company we got TV again! Man the memory's
