70 years later, it still looks beautiful. What a machine 👏.

Incroyable, j'avais pu le voir exposé à Saumur, c'est génial de le voir rouler. C'est dingue la taille de ces engins. Un immense merci aux personnes qui les entretiennent et les maintiennent en état de marche après toutes ces années.

Conduite en douceur ,descente de la remorque aux poil ,il fait 65-70 tonnes le bestiau et le pilote le bouge comme si c'était un tracteur ,bravo ! 😎😎🧐😁

Je l'ai vu une fois au musée des blindés et quel monstre c'etait ce Tigre 2. Pas étonnant que les équipages de chars alliés n'etait pas tranquille quand ils l'apercevaient. 🔥😱

Compare to the panzer II and III that Germany started the war with and these beasts were available just 5 years later…..but in minuscule numbers compared to the Shermans, T34s, etc. In fact the leap forward in technology from the beginning to the end of the war on all sides is absolutely astounding.

Je suis monté dedans, dans le Jagpanther également, etc, presque tous. Epoque où le musée était à l'ouest de la ville, et pas très entretenu, avec juste un jeune qui faisait son service militaire. Il y avait aussi un char anglais énorme, tellement qu'il ne pouvait pas être transporté par voie ferré, et qui semble avoir disparu du musée. Peut-être ai-je rêvé?!...

As far as I know for the moment there is only one running King Tiger and that is the one from Musée des Blindés. Another one being restored in Switzerland is still work in progress. I've been in Saumur 2 years ago and saw it in the museum. I also have seen it running at Militracks in Overloon. It was in two tone camo with turret number 233. Now this should be also the Tiger II from Saumur... Three tone camo and turret number 300. Have they repainted it (original state now?) or is there a second running King Tiger in Musée des Blindés?

My favourite WW2 tank, along with with the Tiger 1 and Panther - The German Wehrmacht had some excellent tools, just not enough of them!
