Why is everybody hating on this guy i use this exact technique in sparring when my opponent tries to clinch with me i use it to get my own clinch then move back out of his range but without the claw

yea really. replace the tiger claw to the face with an elbow srike and you see stuff like that in mma all the time. completely usefull sequence.

The strike is with the butt of the palm and the fingers are for ripping or grabbing!

Excuuuuse me, but i have a question. Im really loving the Tiger Style and im training it hard since a few days now. Im still not sure how to punch correctly, i mean with the claw. Do you try to hit your opponent with thefingers, with the palm, or mixed of both?! Would really appreciate it, if i could get an answer!

the bone you hit with while doing a palm strike is harder than your knuckles. moreover it's more stable, so you avoid the danger of breaking your wrist.

Hi I am a novice at Kung Fu (took it up just over a month ago) but I learned tiger style as an actual stance of its own, like dragon but with the back leg at 90*, a sort of front-facing crouch kinda thing? Also I notice you lean forwards in your horse stance. My teacher is always telling me to keep my core perfectly vertical so I'm wondering why you lean forwards?

Never know, until you spar with him. What makes a great fighter is simple, he who remembers his discipline when the situation occurs. What he shows is like a series of " What if moves ". Remember what Bruce Lee said, traditions are what makes this art categorized. He also said that the technicality of different martial arts, restricts as from true art.

What do you mean there's no blocking in the "Classical Art?" Are you referring to shantung, traditional (true) Chinese kung fu styles, or just those derived from Shaolin styles (hung gar, etc)?

Are you learning from various masters? I'd like to see explanations on how and why the technique works. Also knowledge on tiger philosophy that you have learned. What emotions and mentality are required during a tiger technique? In nature how does a tiger hunt and how does that translate to our bodies executing a tiger technique? Why is it necessary. I'd like to hear your views in the videos. Some may say these questions are useless but there are many facets to this particular animal.

According to Wong Kiew Kit on Tiger Claws, yes, you can use your nails. However, to do so, they have to be grown out to a certain length. Too long, and they snap (like a womans) too short and I would imagine you get the other guy's flesh crammed under your nails like bamboo shoots.

No offense or anything, but this is why Bruce Lee looked down upon these things. Quote " Bruce " Punch straight with a 35 degree angle then kick. Its about expression not technicality.

I do mostly muay Thai and alittle tiger Kung Fu why can't I touch a opponent that knows Thai jitsu? I end up in a cripple crossface or gamora

Hardly... shaolin centers are run by Sin Kwang The', This is not from any of the Classical Chinese Tiger systems. There is no "blocking" in the classical arts. And many practitioners believe that "shaolin-do" is a fabrication by Sin. But this has nothing to do with Shantung Black Tiger or any other Classical Art.

Those techniques aren't necessary. Master Ken has the Hurticane, Kill Face and the Thrust of Freedom.

I was hoping that this was a joke, and I'm glad it is. The guy in the video trained under such a "master". We don't need any more people like this as the martial arts have gain a terrible reputation because of these frauds.

All classical arts. The term "block" does not even exist in the terminology. The techniques are not "blocking", they are: parry and seize. Blocking is a western idea that shows lack of knowledge of the inner teachings of the classical arts.

you need to work on the way you educate your students. You are snappy and jump points of interest all the time. "traditional wrestling collar tie" lol that tie up is setting yourself up for failure. I have mastered TKD. Wrestling for 6 years. Muay thai for 4 and different styles of kung fu since day one. A good student starts with a good teacher, work on your strategies if you plan on becoming successful. You may have credentials or degrees in martial arts but you do not know how to teach.

Like I said, it shows lack of knowledge. Right away you want to accuse me of "condemnation". If I wasn't right, there would not be an overabundance of mcdojo in the US. Most teachers in the US that are "masters" have no clue of the intrinsic intention of their own art. The guy in this video learned empty movements from a fraud. The "techniques" he is demonstrating have no sound martial principles. Your apology is not accepted. If you are a student of "Sin", find another school.

let me understand: you are doing the tiger move in a real street fight? legitimate to choreograph a kung fu tao as you like showing the fluid movements blalblabla..., but from here..saying you can adopt these technique in a real fight is just a simple, pure lie, i am sorry.

No, with practice you can use this technique in a fight. if an opportunity rises where you are close to an opponent, you could easily get him in a clench and finish the move.

+gianluigi dautilia I will try this out this week in my bjj class (minus the elbow, of course). I'll let you know how successful I felt it was. Mind you, I've never done any kung fu ever before, so I might just suck at it.

+gianluigi dautilia I said that I'd try it out and tell you how effective I found it to be. I have yet to find an opportunity to even try it. My partners never gave me the chance to attack both of their arms, but why bother when you can just attack one arm and arm drag?
