Its amazing to look back and think that the first golf-like game was back in year 1297 february 26 in Loenen ann de Vecht where the Dutch played with a stick and leatherball.. Just amazing Tiger, just so amazing legend you are..🙏🏻🏌🏾♂️🥇
This is without a doubt, one of the greatest moments in sports history. We're talking about a man that has literally been mocked and doubted at every corner for almost a decade. Has personal demons and self-inflicted wounds he had to battle with for the public to see. That his body was rapidly failing him and is facing some of the greatest competition ever in his sport at almost a generation gap to his and to come back.....and come back..... to believe that he can win at the highest level and DO IT shouldn't just inspire other athletes but people in general. That you CAN rise from the ashes, that you CAN rise from the adversity of what life can throw at you. That you can come out of your doldrums to do magnificent feats and only thing stopping you is you. Tiger has always been my favorite athlete, not because of his sheer dominance or his flair or his tenacity but for himself to will himself to be better in a game where you are basically competing with your inner self to be better than the next shot. Tiger was already legendary but now this just adds to his legacy as truly being, if not, the greatest willed competitor we may ever see. Flawed and all and I can't thank him enough for showing us. Thank you Mr. Woods. Thank you. #major15 #returntoglory
I was already tearing up but reading these beautiful words just let the rivers out. Being in a very dark place myself and with this man being my favorite golfer ever and providing me lots of good memories what I witnessed today gives me hope. I was on the brink of giving up numerous times in the last couple months I'm so glad thatt I was still alive to witness this. And now it's time for me to rise up once again. Anything is possible if you believe.
Thank you. Your words were elegant, emotional and passionate. Your grammar is perfect and what you said had so much meaning, it could not have been said any better.
@@TombstoneChris I'm glad you haven't given up, my friend. Within all things are possible and I'm glad that you were able to witness true greatness and inspiration as well.
4:14 "Do you believe you'll get 18 majors? Tiger Woods: :To be honest with you...no. So you accepted that? Tiger Woods:"I accepted that I'll get more". Such a badass answer.
@18tangles Arrogance would be someone without the skill set saying that. Given it was said by someone with the abilities like Tiger, that's confidence.
I watched it and gave it a thumbs up. I never followed golf and Tiger Woods is the only pro golfer name I know. To see all the people love Tiger even though he has darker skin is something Tiger helped make happen in his life. I think that is why Trump gave him the medal of Freedom. Tiger really changed peoples perception. He changed mine and I have never stepped foot on a golf course.
Fk, this was super emotional for me. I'm a 35 yr old man who has gone through A LOT of the personal struggles he has and for some reason this just hits me hard. Grew up watching Tiger when he came on the scene, at the time I played golf daily as a 14 yr old. Tiger was a force and was huge for golf at the time. As I got a bit older, I threw everything away for different substances. Friends, future, it all went. Then few years back i suffered a broken spine, 3 crushed vert and so I can't play golf anymore. Let alone hardly turn my body at all. That being said, Tiger winning this means A LOT to a lot people. Those who saw him come up knew he could win again, the best champion of our generation. Good video, thumbs up!! And, go get 4 more TIGER!!
Same here I grew up watching him and this hit really hard. And it just sucks now watching him go through the struggles and missing the cut missing the cuts. That's why this moment here was so damn special it was so fucking special I don't think he's going to win another one it's unfortunate I hope I'm dead freaking wrong but judging by the way he has been playing lately it's like it's been getting worse and worse. I get it he's been through a lot a lot and he's up there in age but it just fucking sucks so bad watching him not be competitive
In golf, *greatness* is measured by "Championships" ...and as much of a Tiger Fan as I am....he'll *Never* be the G.O.A.T. unless he wins 19 Majors!!! Till then...he'll be "The Best Golf of HIS Generation"
ItzAn Opinion fuck off, tiger is the best ever. You can debate that yes. But what you cannot debate is. Tiger woods had the greatest swing off all time.
Tigers best 00-02 is just leagues better than anyone will ever be. He’s had so many clutch hits to win it’s truly inhuman. Also have to mention each era that goes by the competition gets that much better. Jack could never do anything close to what he did in Tigers era..Now he’s doing it in another era. There will never be another Tiger! GOAT no doubt..thx for playing :)
I play golf and I've already forgotten it haha.....I know plenty of people who don't play golf who don't even know it happened and wouldn't care if you told them lol
@@street-wisesmart-bomb8536 Ya okay that's fine, but how many people have melted under the pressure in a major tournament. Not a Valid Excuse, because would have in your mind not matter if it happened to Tiger. Move on Haters going to hate.
@@scottymorgan7868 Pretty obvious isn't??.....The original comment was ridiculously over excited and said that everyone including non golfers will remember it......They won't lol
we got to get this video out there share it. This guy may have less than 600 subscribers but this is one of the best videos I have ever seen about a subject. This needs to be seen by the masses.
The fact there are people on here and out there who know nothing about golf and are still happy to see Tiger do well speaks volumes. I hope this is Tiger back for good because I’m sure I speak for a lot of people in saying we’ve missed him. The King is back!
I never doubted tiger, not once. Through all his personal struggles off the course, all his physical ailments, never. I told people he would win again....everytime he is on tv in tournament, I'm like a kid watching....fist pumping and cheering. I wish I could thumbs up this video a million times. Tiger...tiger...tiger...tiger....
I've been playing golf since I was two years old. The game is in my blood. I got to witness the end of some of the greatest golfers careers and the birth of tigers. When he won his third straight US am.. everyone knew that he was going to be special. And when he destroyed Augusta setting double digit records in one year. Everyone knew we were in for an amazing ride.. I mean hes the reason alone why Augusta is the length it is today.. he single handedly doubled all purses on tour.... but if you told me even just 5 years ago that Tiger would be winning the masters again.. I would have told you your dreaming.. not because of all the things tiger overcame but because I know exactly how hard it is to come back from anything in golf..let alone the pile of things he overcame. Stats dont lie and they were all against his return to glory. I could say a million things about what happened yesterday. But I'll just finish with this.. I hope you all know how truly blessed we are to have witnessed what just transpired.. you will never see a comeback like this again.. there isnt even a comparison in this life we can use from any sport. And golf is by far the hardest game in the world.. making him not only the greatest to step on a tee block, but the greatest inspiration for all who struggle with doubt, or trials of any kind. This was like reliving my late teens and early 20s.. but so much greater because of what he concurred in front of all of us. Thank you Tiger. And thank you for making this vid. I will be sure to share it...
Tiger Woods comeback is the greatest thing that's ever happened to golf. It's unbelievable what he's accomplished, especially after everything that he's been through on a personal and physical level. This video will go viral. Congrats Tiger!
3:55 “It’s not just you, it’s us. We can’t let you go.” So perfectly put. I’m not ready to let him go either. Not yet. He’s been such a big part of my golfing life. He is my golfing life, and why I picked up the sticks all those years ago.
When you are a legend. when you are the man that reinvented golf and took it to levels never ever imagined. On any given Sunday if you have a shot you can win especially if your name is Tiger Woods. You can have issues with women. You can get arrested for drunk driving. You can have all your sponsors drop you but one. You can have the world vilify you. You can have your health deteriorate. Life can bring you to your knees you can feel like there's no hope. But If you have a dream and that dream is strong enough and that desire still burns in you even if it's tucked away for awhile, you never give up you never quit and you keep going in hopes that one day you'll be able to make that dream a reality. Today we all as sports fans witnessed the greatest comeback ever. The first step to Tiger Woods dream of passing Jack Nicklaus on the all-time major win list. He's only got to win four more and if his health holds up I don't see why he cannot he's only 43 going on 44. The way he played today while not perfect, he was able to defeat a field of some of the best golfers in the world. Much tougher and talented then he's played against before. This man is an inspiration this man it's truly the 🐐. If this doesn't inspire you if you're in a bad place then nothing will. I have been in a very dark place and what I witnessed today is exactly what I needed to see. Thank you Tiger Woods for all of the amazing memories you have given me as a fan. Now go out there and make your dream come true.
This brought a tear to my eye...again. The greatest sporting comeback of the 21st Century. A testimony to the strength of the human spirit, to never giving up. Thank you for putting this video together, beautifully edited.
I also cried. Both when he won, and now when seeing it again. Such a huge moment for golf and all of us who grew up with this man as our hero. I'm so excited for what he does next!!
I've been a Tiger Woods fan from the beginning, even while he was injured and playing badly, it makes me so happy to see him make all the critics eat their words LOL
I really hope that it is possible for him to win another major but watching and judging by the way he's been playing lately it's going to be extremely difficult
The voices in my head never doubted, should it be physically possible, that Tiger would again ascend to his rightful place as the best golfer of past, present and future centuries. I also like the friendly approach he takes to the other golfers. Quite a Mother's Day Gift for Mrs. Woods! Love, David
This is dad he never lost his smile. What a player. Just awesome.i am proud to be a man in this country again first mr trump and now tiger.just go to show to the men of this country. we can over come no matter what the women of this country say about us.
Never gave up on this man.. This is what’s it’s all about not only golf but went from rock bottom to turning his life around and finding his game to not only win but win his 5th jacket! Congrats tiger you deserve it man..
Thank you Filip for this Amazing video. This is beyond golf , sport and Tiger, this is LIFE! A big lesson to all of us, still previleged to be breathing, irrespective of our status, position, circumstances, that the IMPOSSIBLE is POSSIBLE, always BELIEVE. Well done TIGER!
Tiger has always been my favorite athlete. I'm 32 now so I was just a youngster when Tiger was in his prime n I remember those majors where you could literally feel the buzz surrounding him through the TV. There's shots I've seen him hit that I'll remember until the day I die. He inspired me to pick up a golf club n to try n be the best I could be. And watching him win this year's Masters made me feel like a kid again. I'm so happy for you Tiger. You raise the whole sport to another level. There's a lot of really great young golfers but none of them have 1/10 the IT factor that Tiger does. He's a genius..and he's human. Thank you Tiger....Thank you.
Wow, so emotional and inspirational at same time, especially since 08:35 till the end. I'm not a golf passionate, I don't know anything about this sport, but I'm a sports fan and of course I knew Tiger Woods as not only a sport but also a cultural icon, who used to rule the world between these two centuries. Then Woods became the man fallen from top of sports world to the lowest bottom and disappeared into darkness of his personal issues, both on and off golf courts, embaressed by people of entire world. But now I have known a special man able to beat his demons and bounce back after so many years. Props Tiger! Have literally no idea of other comebacks such this in sports history, considering his fame, size of his fall, the public embarrassment, the years passed and the fact that, except injuries, all the negative path started and went on from personal behaviours and not from some external accidents. So in some way, on a plane of human being able to deal with own dark sides and overcome them, this could be considered the greatest one. Sounds legit to me. Such an amazing story.
Tiger Woods, Ronnie O'Sullivan, Jordan, Messi, Mardadona, Federer, Senna, Tyson and Bolt. Whether you like these athletes or not...everyone watches when they participate. Athletes are not saints. They all have personal demons like us, but magnified due to the stage they occupy. In the end-- God-like talent and ability to give their fans EUPHORIA like no one else, has to be appreciated and cherished. Almost every single day for the last 5 years... i watch clips of Tiger, Federer, Jordan and Messi...which gets me motivated and excited for the day. That's enough for me... not looking for a saint or a "role model"
Woolworth Jones you sound like you have never played a full 18 at your local course, let alone at one of the hardest courses in the world like Augusta national. Take your ignorance somewhere else
Defying all odds. Everybody counted the man out as short as a year back. I always hoped for a day like today and after Tigers season last year, I knew it could be done. We all knew it could be done. Much anticipated and well deserved Tiger.
There's no doubt that he is the best ever. It just fucking sucks so bad watching him miss the cut now and watching him not be competitive it fucking sucks
What a scene at 7:48. The HUGE crowd of people all following and walking with tiger and tiger with that big smile we have been wanting to see. Almost shed a tear he’s been my hero since i was 4 years old.
While his 1997 Masters win was done by a record 12 strokes, I have a feeling that this one might be his most special Masters win. To overcome all the personal problems (media was brutal), the injuries he had and how nobody thought he would win another is incredible. It takes an unmatched level of grit and determination to do what he did.
It sure does, and when moments like this happen we have to hang onto them especially in these times because gives us hope and serves as a reminder that GREATNESS CAN BE IN ALL OF US, TOGETHER. I feel that what Tiger did was beyond sports and will probably go down as the goat.
I am 28 and have played golf for 3 months, I took the sport up because an ACL and PCL complete snap ruined my chances to play football or do boxing competatively for almost 16 months, but being a competitive guy I cannot live my life without some kind of competition, so I decided to take up golf. My personal best as a beginner round the course was 103. I watched this video yesterday, it inspired me to try and take golf serious, I practised at the driving range for 3 hours last night, I then went round the course today in 79 shots! Now I'm not saying this video works miracles... but WOW. What an inspiration. There will never be another like him ever.
Damn this video literally brought me to tears because tiger woods was my childhood hero, and I never thought myself he could come back from the dead literally like he did and win the masters, unbelievable! This was a great video 💯💪🐅
This is amazing. He is amazing. For someone like him who lives with golf, who breaths golf, all the struggles, the scandals, the surgeries , all of these are worth the wait. It has made him a better person. It is us that we can’t still let him go. He still has so many roars to hear from his fans. He still has so many trophies to lift..one at a time. Congratulations Tiger Woods!
And the nominees for best win of the decade are: 2018 UMBC/Virginia 2016 Cavaliers 2016 Cubs 2018 Capitals 2019 Tiger at Augusta. And the winner is...2019 Tiger At Augusta!
@@Margot7513 the Patriots are proven cheaters. Just because they got away with it doesn't mean it's not true. Deflating balls, recording opponent's practices, Bellechick constantly harassing officials- what a bunch of scum. That franchise deserves every ounce of hate it gets, and absolutely ZERO credit. I'm glad Kraft got caught screwing whores- shit rolls down hill and seeps through/permiates every layer of an organization.
@Death Star DON'T say dat bro TENNIS IS A GREAT AN EXCITED SPORT MORE THAN GOLF!ITS TIGER WOODS THAT HAS THE WORLD TAKE NOTICE OFF GOLF (FACT)!! IF WAS NOT FOR TIGERS AURA IN THE GAME GOLF WOULD NOT BE WHERE IT IS TODAY DEATH STAR!JUST MY HUMBLE OPINION!!
Wow, excellent job Filip. I have grown up watching Tiger, I always hoped he would return to greatness. The mountain was high, so so high.... he fought and climbed it despite innumerable obstacles. So happy for him and us just to be able to witness this. What an inspiration!!
Something told me to tune in to the sunday coverage. I haven't watched golf in 3 years. I am a bowhunter now. But yet still I felt like I must watch golf that Sunday. Boy, am I ever glad I did. Tiger's finest moment ever. Golf's finest moment, history made, and I witnessed it! What a great sport period we live in.
This was the most exciting sports moment I’ve ever seen live, and I saw the Auburn bounce catch and return against Alabama, Russel Wilson’s super bowl pick, Tom Brady’s comeback against the Falcons, and many more. This was incredible. Utterly fantastic play from Tiger and so great to watch.
I have to admit, I was a Tiger hater for quite some time, after all the scandal. As an African American, I felt like he let us down in a game full of Fuzzy Zoeller types. But to have the grit to make a comeback after all his drama and win golf's most coveted championship...you have to give Eldrick his props. Awesome.
I have to admit, that I can't stand the fact that you bring race into this. "As an African American, I felt like he let us down." He's just as human as any white guy. His body was breaking down. He cheated on his wife. He was driving while impaired. Please tell me what those things had to do with the color of his skin? I know a white guy who did all those things in his life. Did I feel like he let me down? Nope. Because I couldn't care less about that dude and what he does in his life. I'm a white guy. I wish black people like you would stop pulling the race card with every little thing a black guy does. It's why there is such a huge gap in race relations. I really don't know how else to articulate how the black race fuels the fire. By the way, I was disgusted with Fuzzy Zoeller as well. I just don't let racists run my life. Tiger is the fucking man. Always has been. And it's amazing how he suffered through all that he did, especially his back issues, to win another major. I have a back problem which fucks up my golf game too. So, I can appreciate what he did as the greatest golfer who ever lived. Jack was the best in his own time. But, there weren't as many good golfers to challenge him then. Today, and when Tiger was in his prime, there are a shitload of good golfers. And at 43, he's letting them know that he's not going to walk away with a whimper. Appreciate the man for his talents, not his color. Man, people like you piss me off.
Recently hollywood has been embracing the simple and short titles. If it was a biopic with actors it would be called Tiger. But if it was a documentary about him then The Roar: the return of the king could be a good title although the last part sounds too much like Lord of the rings.
Growing up being like a 12 year old watching tiger win all the time to not winning at all and him going through all his bs with his wife to now being 20 years old and seeing him win literally brings a tear to my eye. Love you tiger.
From Day 1 of this year's Masters I just had a feeling it was going to be special. I grew up loving golf because of Tiger Woods, but lost my love of it when he fell from grace. Tiger's comeback has simultaneously restored my love for the game, as well as (I'm sure) that of countless others. An unbelievable story. Can't wait to get out on the course this summer and watch Tiger get a little closer to that 18!
This was so special to me because I’m only 15 so I’ve never seen a winning tiger at least that i can remember. I’ve heard all the stories and seen all the videos. And to finally see what it was actually like made me emotional.
What if I told you, pain is only as intense as you let it be. What if a man could take a grueling road of recovery, stare adversity in the eye, and simply say, "Take your shots, and I'll take mine." ... ESPN presents, "Roaring Tiger," an ESPN 30 for 30 Documentary. Coming soon...
I'm no film editor but from "THE WIN" yesterday and to have made this video within a days time, this would make Tiger himself a tear jerker, LOL. An amazing video that I will share to all and btw I'm not even a golf fan. Great job on this vid
BE HONEST.. ALL those who thought this day was going to happen, HIT 👍🏻 . I’ll start it myself. He’s the GOAT and the GOATS in any sport don’t go out like suckas. I told everyone that after McGregors fight with Floyd, Connor would fall off and that idiot has done more than fall off. And now I’m saying Tiger will break Jacks major record in 3 years. Tiger has won the last 2 outta 3 biggest tournaments starting off last year at East Lake. He’s not the young Tiger of old but he’s the new Tiger of the future.. WERE JUST GETTING STARTED AMIGOS. We’re bout to witness history. I’m sooo excited. Tiger is my generation, Tiger is well..... TIGER
Tiger and Roger Federer are proof that some athletes exceed the levels of even the greatest competitors and can perform at the highest level way beyond most of their peers. I love seeing these old lions show these young cubs how it's done.
@Iron Arm He's already the GOAT - Jack never came back from anything, never changed the sport, never was an icon. No one has ever said "I don't like golf but I'll watch Nicklaus." The only thing 4 more will do is convince people like you. Having said that I do partly think this conversation is a bit silly given that Tiger's career is still in progress. Let's wait until it's over to judge.
Iron Arm I agree for the most part, but given the swag that’s available to these players you can’t just pin it to major championships alone...most wins would definitely play a bigger part (given the individuality of the sport). It would be like doing away with MJ’s stats and only counting his MVP’s or rings. Winning majors is just a small part of the yearly schedule since there are just 4 of them.
