@Malia With Love Ive purchased Duncan, Sterre, and Stellan from Tijn! The order takes a little while to come, but I was able to correspond with customer service without issue. Duncan and Sterre glasses were smaller than the pictures, but Stellan is great! All glasses were good quality when they arrived, great cases too.
You did a very nice review of the glasses you received from TIJN eyewear. As a retired optician I don't thin you really have "bad" vision, you just don't have perfect vision anymore. There's a difference between the two. Bad vision is someone that literality can't see a thing without their glasses. You're able to see things rather well just slightly blurry now without glasses. I'm pretty sure your near (close up) vision is still perfect or nearly perfect without glasses. Unfortunately for you since your whole family wears glasses you were destined to be a glasses wearer from when you were born. It's called genetics and there was nothing you could have done to prevent you from one day needing glasses. It was just a matter of when and not if. I would love for you to post what your prescription is I know you had someone from TIJN get your prescription for you from your doctor's. But if you don't have a copy of that at hand it is marked on each of your contact lenses packets. You should see something like this -1.50 SPH / -.50 CYL on the packet but with different numbers after the minus signs. Unless you really need full time vison correction you really shouldn't be wearing contacts except for maybe certain things lie playing a sport of some kind where glasses would tend to get in the way. It's a much better idea to be getting a nice collection of glasses to wear. Glasses are really a great way to change your "look" and not cost hundreds of dollars to do. I'm not a big fan of TIJN only because they really aren't as inexpensive as they could be. Their are many really good sites out there for far less money per pair. The girls in the shop where i worked and managed were ordering their glasses from numerous glasses sites. The sites i liked best were Zeelool, Voogueme, Payne Glasses and Zenni Optical. All 4 of these sites have nice selections of glasses for as little as $6.95 and that includes single vision lenses, that's what your lenses are, in whatever prescription is needed. They have hundreds more for under $15.00 as well. TIJN's glasses are mostly priced at $50.00 and then another $50.00 for single vision lenses in your prescription. That's $100.00 and doesn't include the shipping. As far as quality goes I have seen the glasses form the sites I mentioned and they are as good as most frames we were selling in our store for a lot more money. Actually glasses really in most cases only need to hold up for a couple years of everyday wear. Because by that time the lenses usually have scratched lenses anyway or the prescription needs changing. I think every young woman should have at least 6 or 7 pairs of glasses to change to and a couple pairs of prescription sunglasses as well. I'm really curious why you didn't get both pairs made in your prescription? It would seem rather foolish to have to wear contacts along with those non-prescription glasses. And you certainly have no reason to want to wear a pair of non-prescription glasses just for fun or fashion sake when you actually need prescription glasses. Anyway they both look really nice on you and glasses really do suite you very nicely.
I ordered one pair a month ago..with no prescription. It still has not been shipped. Customer service has not responded to my emails. This just sounds like a paid review.
Oh no, I’m so sorry to hear that! TIJN didn’t pay me to make this video, but they did send the glasses to me to feature free of cost. I regret working with them if their customer service is that bad :(
