Dixie D'Amelio, Griffin Johnson, Lauren Kettering and Diego Martir tried to make a TV show. About hospital volunteering. And they thought it would go well. Twitter: / thedmatthews Instagram: / dylanwillnotparticipate
literally it feels like they are putting in zero effort, as if they memorised all their lines then filmed it all in one day I've seen better acting at my school
It sounds like how a student reads from a presentation who was not prepared in front of the class and didn't sleep that night because they didn't try doing the presentation until that night.
Lmfao I'm reminded of it every time I go to the dentist (I have braces so I go every month) and we have to wear hairnets and gloves before going in due to COVID 😂
Shawty Eri that’s mostly YOUR SPECIFIC fyp if you stop liking content similar to that you will get you own specialized content. My content is mostly artists, music and “ alt” tik tok
I just love that she didn’t have gloves on either. Like yeah okay there is blood everywhere but I won’t wash my hands or wear gloves… makes perfect sense😂🥲
Fr. I seen a dude at my highschool get arrested and its the least attractive thing. Like, damn, these boys reckless af I don’t want any part in that 😂 all of a sudden when fantasy becomes reality the tables turn
“I’m bleeding a lot” “Here let me slap on a thin bandage without putting any padding or disinfectant, and while doing so stop you from applying pressure which you were doing at first, because I have no qualifications beyond a vague idea that I want to be a doctor.”
I lost my mind when they were opening the show with the doctor explaining shit to them and you see her on the far left just rolling her eyes for no fuckin reason 😂😂
Basically greys anatomy: the main character is the daughter of an important person to the hospital there’s a guy who keeps bumping into the main character and they’re in a program in a hospital the only difference is the bad acting💀💀
and supply closets = on call rooms main character's love interest is lowkey cocky/arrogant boss girl with cancer who almost dies falls for bad boy character is in love with patient the party thing at the end of s1 = prom at the end of s2 of ga
My issue is, even shows like Greys Anatomy and other med dramas make the occasional mistake about medical accuracies and they have like whole teams of writers double checking things to try and catch stuff like that. THIS IS A TIKTOK SHOW. Why would they even try to tackle something like that lmao
@@gucciasalways what do you do as a volunteer? LMFAO the most I was able to do was register in patients and work at the gift shop. And ONCE with my science club we watched a surgical simulation.
Exactly!! Like the whole burned victim who got one shot and was fine?!? And the dude that was sitting their bleeding out with no doctors near him or concerned in the very least with a huge gash in his forearm and the helper being like “meh you’ll be fine you can wait” after he said he needed a doctor, and also her starting to patch it up before even caring to get assistance!!? Also she just started wrapping it up when it was obvious the wound headed to been disinfected of cleaned she just started wrapping it which if this was real like could have given him an infection or made it worse bc it’s just an open wound And not cleaned wound which would be pushing any bacteria or dirt or dry blood back into the wound which could make it HELLA infected?!? Like I’m not at all a doctor yet it’s common knowledge that the helper shouldn’t just be patching up a gash in someone’s arm without knowing the severity of it or what even happened and when someone says they need a doctor... go get the damn doctor
not even talking about the fact they obviously didn't try to make things make sense or hide the fact that this is literally Grey's Anatomy but with teenagers... they changed the situation but not the plot🤦♀️
That's what I was thinking if your going to try and make a show do something less complicated. And they would need a really good budget to make it look professional
Y’all know that them actually taking care of patients is low key illegal. To volunteer at a hospital you have to fill out a ton of paper work, and they don’t accept just anyone. You also have to undergo HIPAA training (patient privacy). Most hospitals also require the volunteers to be a certain age (16 in most cases I think). This concept is so inaccurate it annoys me.
Love how the ER nurse couldn't find a vein on the perfectly clean and lively little girl who despite supposedly having inhalation burns has no supplemental oxygen nor is really struggling to breath, then the doctor that probably hasn't done an IV since med school tries and fails, only to inject an intraVENOUS medication in the same scene. This has to be a parody.
Kiki Zajdova maybe but i just graduated middle school & people made projects with better acting than this. i didn’t even go to like a school for the arts, it was for aerospace💀
Oh honey I bet the school's plays are better then this because they r doing it for passion and loves theater/acting and wants to be an actress/actor and these Tik tokers just get a show because there famous and with no experience like huh!🤦🏽
4:52 you know they don't know the first thing about tv/movie acting when the girl looked straight into the camera. I thought she was breaking the 4th wall, but she wasn't and it was very weird
so nobody is going to talk about the fact that: this girl puts a hair net on, BUT HER HAIR IS STILL OUT? like there is literally no point of the hair net then...
when i first heard that kid say that i was so confused, like isn’t the whole trope that when you get in prison everyone always asks “so what did you do to get in here”
Every time I watch a review of this show, I notice something new to be angry about. This time it is the lack of anyone wearing GLOVES. I haven’t even volunteered at a hospital, just a few physical therapy clinics. All I did as a volunteer was observe and clean the tables and I HAD to wear gloves. The fact that these people are all directly touching patients with no gloves bothers me so much. Wearing gloves is such a basic aspect of healthcare that the directors of this show couldn’t be bothered to put in. There are so many things about this show that frustrate me, but leaving out something as basic as gloves is really the cherry on top of everything else.
Not just that, it’s gross malpractice if this actually happened or even if a volunteer touched medical equipment and stuff 😭 it would be law suit central
LovelyGamer101 stuff like: “omg you served ✨🧚🏻💖 i’m not tipping tho 💞🥰🌱” or; “Fly high✨🧚♀️💖🌸 and then fall✨💋☺️💖💞” or; “✨💖🧚god loves every creature✨💓🧚 except you✨💞” it’s a joke on TikTok, they use those emojis and say something negative, but make it sound positive. The stuff on the serial killer’s Instagram is clearly a joke too.
@@averriamartin4400 sure! so we could work either in the gift shop, as junior couriers, or one other job that i can’t quite remember. i worked as a courier and we would receive requests from around the hospital to transport things. i.e. bring blood from the blood lab to a unit, retrieve medical records, transport patients out on wheelchairs when they’re being discharged, etc. sometimes we would make kits for the patients like the ones they’d get when they check in for overnight? if we had free time we’d help out at either the gift shop or the kitchens on cleaning duty. it was an awesome experience!!
@@woongfairy Wow! I have never heard of volunteer work at a hospital sounds like you had a lot of important tasks to do. Sounds like you really enjoyed it too Kudos.
12:16 What the actual bs is that? Is that a heart rate? If so, wtf is that beat? Why in the world are there 10 different colored beats? And most of all, wt actual f changed? Like.. nothing changed and they're relieved
I'm gonna die 💀😂 I really hope a funny medical professional on youtube reacts to it and just roasts tf out of it for a whole 10 minutes I really wanna laugh more
I actually laughed for a minute straight at the fact there's a kid bleeding like crazy just sitting in the waiting room patiently and nobody even notices him and then when he finally gets someone's attention, she walks up and says "what do you need?". I swear these TikTokers don't understand how normal humans behave. This is legit NPC behavior
i think i speak for all of gen z when i say this: we’re not all like that. this is a product of tik tok stars who’s management wants them to “branch out”
The one girl: *emotionless voice* whoa you’re his daughter you’re so lucky Dixie: *emotionless voice* you say that as if I don’t want to be in this room Kid *is literally bleeding out from his arm*: hey uh, hope it’s not too much to ask but uh can I maybe see a doctor? Other girl: *emotionless voice* uh you’re fine Juvie kid: *non-intimidating emotionless voice* hey kid come on, you gotta eat, stop ignoring me They really hired the most emotionless teenagers to be in the Kidz Bop Grey’s Anatomy, huh?
I’m a Medical Assistant and I’m crying tears at the scene at 12:05 the “best doctor the the state” gave her a shot into her vein…. Sir that’s not how that works. DID THEY DO ANY MEDICAL RESEARCH AT ALL. LIKE THEY DONT HAVE ONE MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL ON THE WRITER TEAM TO MAKE IT EVEN REMOTELY ACCURATE. With what is he is trying to do the young girl would have an IV in and they would disconnect the IV bag from the IV. Then attach the syringe to the IV in her arm. Like besides from the obvious shot claiming to cure her burns and clear the smoke in her lungs. He just took the shot and injected her vein it doesn’t work like that lmao. On emergency situations like that she would already have a team surrounding her with an IV placed within a minute lol
As a nurse I enjoy watching medical shows made by people who have never been in a hospital. It just looks like one of them was in a hospital for 2 hours 8 years ago and they used that to create the show 😂😂
@@bakalaurel in fairness, it can be hard to find a vein on someone hypotensive...but he didn't even use a tourniquet, then he had the girl squeeze BELOW the injection site (should've been above,) didn't clean the site, did the injection with a hypodermic needle (not an IV needle,) didn't place an IV catheter in the arm so next time she needs meds she'll need to get poked again, and then didn't bandage the wound after pulling the needle out. Just a huge mess, clearly wasn't a single medical consultant in the entire staff.
Been a nurse three years and I've never seen anyone directly inject medicine into the vein...someone with 3rd degree burns would need fluid resuscitation, and you'd be doing it through a cannula. And has that doctor never heard of tourniquet? So much stupid stupid stuff in here. Volunteers working out of their scope of practice which would get the hospital sued, and that doctor up for malpractice. Like I didn't expect a researcher, but I expected someone on the show might have been treated once or twice at a working hospital.
The 'V' in IV stands for venous, or vein... have you not ever given a slow push in four years of practice? No boluses? No IVABs or flushes or ondansetron or anything? Damn.
@@706153 okay doctor.. I am a nurse too & and like she said you don’t give IV meds in a injection. Doctors/ nurses would insert a cannula to make sure it’s in the vein before giving IV meds. Injections are used if they want to give medication into the muscles or tissue
@@ellaami9031 as i can remember, i received IV medicine as patient, but they always checked If its surrely in the vein by pushing back and seeing blood coming out.
@@san.1300 They usually do that when giving injections in the muscle to make sure it isn't in the vein. I'm sure IV meds are sometimes given that way but most doctors wouldn't do it that way because if IV meds miss the vein it can cause serious tissue damage (extravasation). That's why when you have a IV pump running, a nurse will check on you hourly to make sure the needle doesn't move and go into the tissue :) I am just saying that what happened in the show is not impossible but not common practice. Just shows they didn't have any medical professionals on set haha
