True. Its genuinely a great and safe way to slowly introduce previously 'dicey' terms. Same is gradually happening for 'they/them' pronouns too (i know nuetral pronouns have been around for thousands of years, but in the singular tense theyre being more normalized now then ever) for the safety and inclusion of non binary people. Pretty cool thing to study, really. The idea that everyone collectively normalizes terms for the benefit mostly of a minority. And even better that it doesnt negatively effect anyone at all
I don't go to Uni of Leeds but I've lived there all my life, can confirm there are bunnies that live virtually right next to the city centre lmao, I remember seeing one for the first time and being so confused

The funny thing about the Jingle Bells orchestra one, is you can tell what the mistake was. Clearly whoever was in charge of printing the sheet music forgot/didn’t know that different instruments are tuned to different pitches. So they just printed out the same sheet music for every instrument without adjusting for each instrument. So a C played on a piano would sound like a B flat on a trumpet and an E flat on certain clarinets. That is why it’s such a discordant mess, it’s none of the players fault as they are playing exactly what the sheet music says.

tbf nowadays I don't even think of partner as a "gay" word and more as one used by old people who aren't married and think calling people their girl/boyfriend is weird when you're like 50
Been binge watching George’s vids lately. I get and like most of the vids but these Tik Toks are very hit and miss for me. I was born in 1992 but George was born 1998 so perhaps he gets the tik tok humour better than me as he’s on the cusp of Gen Z!

using the word partner for every relationship helps break stereotypes surrounding relationships and makes gay and/or non-cis people not feel like outcasts or not feel different when referring to their relationship. in Norway they just have the same word for any kind of romantic partner so it clearly works in practise :)))
Don’t go to the uni of Leeds but have lived here my whole life. If there are rabbits, they’re wild. Leeds has a lot of green space and it’s quite common to see wild animals near the city center
