Musubi Spam
This is a Spam rice sandwich which is popular snack or meal in Hawaii and then eventually became famous in other countries. The main ingredients are Spam and rice, and then it is wrap in nori. The spam can be grilled or fried and season with teriyaki sauce. To assemble it the can of the Spam is use to mold the Musubi. First layer is rice, and sometimes sprinkled with furikake; the second layer is the Spam.
Ingredients:
1 can Spam, cut into 9 equal parts
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp white vinegar
2 tbsp water
2 1/2 tbsp white sugar
3 cups cooked rice
4 tsp water
2 tsp white vinegar
1/2 tsp white sugar
1/8 tsp salt(optional)
2 tsp sesame oil
9 pcs. nori strips
Furikake(optional)
