TikTok Files Lawsuit Against US Government to Block Law Potentially Banning the App
TikTok has filed a lawsuit challenging a recently enacted US law that demands the short video-sharing app be divested by its Chinese parent company, ByteDance, within 270 days or face a ban in the country. TikTok argues the law is an "extraordinary intrusion on free speech rights," based on "speculative concerns." US President Joe Biden signed the bill into law last month, citing national security concerns. US lawmakers have raised concerns that TikTok’s US users' data could fall into the hands of the Chinese government or be used for propaganda. The company claims a forced sale within 270 days is "not possible" and accuses the US of unfairly singling out TikTok. The White House defends the law as a "divestment" rather than a ban.

@@YouCantHandleTheTruth. TikTok, whose mainland Chinese counterpart is Douyin, is a short-form video hosting service owned by Chinese internet company ByteDance. It's not all about the data it's about the young generation wasting their time on the platform on useless thing.

That's right, they are also a subsidiary of ByteDance, but they don't owned ANY of the data being securely stored here in the states. Also, you tell me how does it differ from all the _other_ U.S.-controlled social-media apps that people aren't (supposedly) wasting their time on. Truth is TIK TOK has opened the Pandora's Box of the military industrial complex and exposed dirty politics at a scale UNSEEN and UNHEARD of. Even the zionists are calling the war on Gaza not an Israeli problem, but 'a TiKTok problem', which exposed them all.
