That type of laughing is very reminiscent of my own when I corner out much more heavier and expensive cars. The true power of low weight high revving cars like the Ignis Sport. Mine has now 263 thousand kilometers on it and it still drives like new. Granted I change all the fluids frequently and recently changed the and spark plugs/coils.
Love my Ignis 1.3. Got the 5 door model so can fit my mountain bike in the back and enjoy driving up to the trail centres around me on the small twisty roads. It’s an absolute blast but definitely need to lower it and get some better brakes. Less good on the motorways but as a second car it’s a bundle of fun!
What an awesome video! So many car videos these days are of mega expensive super cars with 600/700bhp doing boring drag races. That's fine but it's not realistic. In the real world the super car owner will drive along tight, damp, off camber, winding roads . In those (most likely) conditions a super car is not a pleasant drive. A much cheaper, lighter and far less powerful car is just as quick and I'm sure it's a lot more fun! In the Suzuki the driver could use and enjoy 100% of the cars power and ability (great fun). In the Aston the driver used 5% of the cars ability whilst worrying about the cost of repairs should he crash. Sweaty palms and clenched buttocks all the way!
You’re absolutely right. Thats why i did the test i wanted people to understand that you should just drive what makes you happy. No supercar is going to be faster than a good/crazy driver on mountain roads! 👍🏽
I inheritad my Fathers yellow Ignis Sport 2003 and It saved my Life multiple Times. Had to Sell it because after 15 Years I had to repair to many Parts😢. I remember on the highest Peak of Belgium (Botrange) the Road was full of Ice but with Powder Snow that covered up the Ice and I had a Mercedes S Class behind me and a Citroen Berlingo in Front of me both slipping on the Ice but the Ignis Sport didn't even flinch and I passed the Berlingo on ICE and the Ignis Sport didn't care and drove normally and prevented a massive Accident because of it. That was the Time when I went to College,
Mine is about the same. I hit 7L/100 if I'm really careful on gas pedal. Fuel consumption it's really bad for this light frame and small hp engine. If I used it as daily on highway I would have sold it after a month. It has a lot of disadvantages that modern cars haven't, but on 2003 you couldn't care less for them ☺️
Somethings definitely wrong with it then, mines average is at 9.5 most, it only consumes a lot on the highway at 150 kmh, other than that its good on gas
Iggy in these twisties is like bringing a gun to a knife fight 😄 I have the same car, and I don't want to sell it (despite the fact that I need a bigger car with space). To get the Iggy driving feel you have to spent a lot of money. It's a great and very underrated car 😍
@@hcr32slider there aren't any specific I think. It depends on what you want from a car and how much money you want to spend. Mine is on stock engine, aftermarket 15inch wheels with Michelin Sport 3, aftermarket brake disks-brake pads. It's great, for me. Coilovers, engine tune, bars under frame, striped inside etc will be better I suppose, but again it depends on what you want. Others would say, "spend a little more and buy Clio RS, or more and buy anything else"... Overall IMHO, it's an old, good, fun to drive vfm car. I can't think for something better on it's price...
@Vaggelis T. I come from a drifting background and have had r32s 34s etc and I'm not going to make the ignis a money pit. Just a fun run around for work. It will be in my hands Easter and at this stage I was thinking keep it simple with an exhaust and do something a little better with the intake. Do you know of any cheap bang for buck upgrades like changing plug gap etc.?
@@hcr32slider Engine is difficult to get power (classic NA😄). I have a group A exhaust on mine and cut the stock airbox (didnt want to spend 270€ on suzuki sport intake), also NGK spark plugs. I havent dunoed it, but it might got a little bit "spark" I think. Serviced stock suspension (it comes with Showa), 16inch wheels, tires and brakes you will have a descent fun to drive car. You can see a good downhill video on my channel, it's pretty fun car 😍
