He’s cruel and gross, I don’t care if he has some sob story past or anything, I don’t care that he has power, he’s got way too big of an ego. Please don’t tell me he ends up “falling in love” and “redeeming himself” and they become a sweet couple where she forgets all the wrongdoings he’s done to her. It doesn’t matter how good the music, cinematography, or acting is, I’m just sick of these dramas ending with the toxic and cruel man having his actions excused because he either 1) lost his girlfriend/wife 2) lost his sibling 3) lost his parents or 4) thinks he has some disease but was actually misdiagnosed and finds out later. I’m tired of the beaten, bullied woman still falling for the abusive man and forgiving every time he hit her, threw her to the ground, spit at her, imprisoned her, killed her loved ones, starved her, just because she “loves” him. I’d rather be in the Cold Palace than have to serve that emperor in bed even once.
