Unfortunately my wallet tile lasted a year 😭 but I would use it non stop since I misplace my wallet all the time and I love it! I’ll still get another one haha
Hello there, I was wondering if a tile is in a missing wallet is it possible for your phone tracking to give an alert of it being nearby even when it’s not? The wallet was missing and was too far away where the phone couldn’t pick it up…then the phone sent a notification from another tile user of where the wallet is…going to the location (a hotel) the phone is showing a very strong signal of the tile being in the office of the hotel. They deny having the wallet… This bring me back to my original question…could there be something else in the office giving off the strong signal or is the wallet definitely in the office? Walking around the area the window of the office and inside the office was the strongest signal…though couldn’t hear anything noise alert on the phone…
Hello, I don't understand, at 3:17 you say that smart notifications require a premium subscription but you are showing a table that says that they are included free.
I don't know what happened to this edit. Other versions of that scene showing the Tile website, (like in the Tile Pro 2022 video ( ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-aMqJgtUaeBI.htmlsi=hW5e_3FF4BD6hVHR&t=177 ) has on screen text stating that was error on the Tile website but for some reason, this render didn't have it.
man, I had no idea you had a new channel. I was looking for trackers thinking about your channel but wanted the most updated info and came across you over here. Welp, glad I found you.
Hey Dookie, sorry I missed your comment. Yeah I felt the tracking stuff needed its own channel as my other channel is now mostly focused on HomeKit. I'm glad you found me too, I hope all is well!
4:00 The cube Shadow wallet tracker has better than replaceable batteries, it has a rechargeable battery. It's not hard to make the batteries rechargeable even for a tracker in credit card format. Tile doesn't do it to make us buy a new device every 3 years.
Yep, rechargable BT trackers have been out for years but Tile refuses to do them. They even went back into thier old way in the Tile Mate. Not replaceable, not rechargable. Even though the Tile Mate model before had replaceable battery. At least the Tile Pro still has a replaceable battery.
I wish Samsung made one of these I have smart tags plus and they are great but too bulky for my wallet and any Samsung phone pings it with tile is harder but still better than nothing
That would be cool, we need more wallet trackers. Especially ones with replaceable batteries. I thought though, smarttags only work with Samsung Galaxy phones with SmartThings installed, not all Samsung phones have SmartThings.
Mine lasted 3 weeks - lost my wallet with tile in it and my phone could not find it. Turns out my wallet was in my car sitting in my driveway - 30 feet away. After finding it, I put my wallet 5 feet from my phone and the phone found it, but said the battery was weak and the tile should be replaced
It not that much thicker that you would notice in your wallet. But you will notice how quiet the innway card is, how short the battery life (although recharagable), and how it doesn't have a community.
I don't know what you mean my smart tracking? If you mean Tile's "Smart Alerts", pretty much every other tracker on this channel has "out of range" alerts for free.
Great idea. Pretty sad simple devices are made non rechargeable not replaceable battery. And forced into paying extra for a service that can work directly on your phone to the device with out any network or app cost for the company. You can easily use mostly open source stuff to do the phone ring when looses item. I thought I'd go tile because of the network find ability. But I'd rather have a tracker I can utilize as purchased. Reminds me of nest cameras. Inexpensive camera. But have to pay a lot in the long run to make it useful
Yeah it's a shame Tile went the non-replaceable-throw-away model but Im liking the new line of rechargable wallet trackers that I'm seeing coming out even though most are not for Android phones but I'm sure they will soon, once Android Find My is released.
@@TrackThisNThat looking gat ace and pebble. I had the original pebblebee honey on Kickstarter. Can't remember which one had the feature I really liked. I've left my wallet on the counter at a restraint and recient lost it at an amusement park several hours away. I am going to use the left behind feature even if I have to build it myself with tasker and iftt
Seems weird to use this as an exposed luggage tag that could be ripped off when you have the entire luggage compartment to put a normal shaped tracker.
Many people put trackers on luggage tags. All shapes and size. The reason to put them on the outside is for better range and communication. People having been using luggage tags for centuries on the outside and most stay on just fine.

@@therealmakmillion Hi there!, Yes, we were able to recover the wallet. There was a notification that the wallet was in a different location…it moved to a 7-Eleven. Someone turned it in….saying they “found” it….we went back to the hotel that had the strong signal the signal was no longer there… so someone in the hotel office definitely had it there and then took it to the 7 eleven…it’s great to know the tiles work and great to get the wallet back…thanks for checking in and for your help….
It's not a GPS tracker, it uses the GPS in your phone or other Tile users that it connects to via Bluetooth and then you can see the location in the Tile app. I hope that helps.
You can see the last location where it connect to a TILE USER. If a new tile user gets within range, it will update the location where it connected. But understand the Tile could still be moving, thus it won't be there. If you get the Tile Premium service, you can see a history of where it connected.
NO! No tracker is made for stolen items! Cause it can be easily found and thrown away. But if you can hide it well, GPS trackers with cellular communication is what will give you the most luck. Bluetooth trackers like the Tile Slim are for misplace items.
True, more active users would be nice. If you have iPhone, there are Find My products just like the Tile Slim that have 1+ billion users. You can see a quick comparison of all them here - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-UEyTCzwgCCI.html
Oh, so it ONLY pings off other TILE devices. So if nobody in the area has one, it is basically useless! And these are not that popular! I was hoping it worked like the airtag where it pings off cell phones.
No, it doesn't ping off other Tile devices. It pings off of people's cell phone just like airtags but it has to have the Tile app. Soon Tile will have a verison that will have Android Find My and will proubally be a bigger network than Apple Find My (worldwide) but remember it not about user/phone total worldwide, its about phone/users in your area.
@@TrackThisNThat at 1:40 in your video, you say every other TILE user out there, so if there are NO TILE users in my area, but plenty of Android phones, will it still ping off their pones and let me know where it is?
@@TrackThisNThat Exactyl, so if they don't use the TILE slim, they won;t have the app installed. So this ONLY WORKS with other TILE users. And this device is not very popular, so this makes it very limited!! Conclusion: Waste of money! I will stick with my Android Smart tag, which pings off every Android phone, regardless if they use the Smart TAg app or not!
