Welcome to the team Rad! He is going to be a great addition to the Stud Pack crew. I cracked up at what I assume is Rad on camera capturing this heart warming father and son moment at 6:03. Absolutely cannot wait to see the Stud Pack House now with the extra pair of hands. Thank you so much for all your work!

Sameeee thought!! 🤣🤣🤣 But at the end it also seemed they didn’t fill them in 🤔 one did one didn’t so I am still confused
@aheadatime
@aheadatime Год назад
If I had to guess, they're going to fill those in with a different type of tile so have a little inlay detail. Like a triangle of white marble in its place or something like that. Who knows though lol
@gtaylor4596
@gtaylor4596 Год назад
Was wondering the same thing as well.
@Yowomboo
@Yowomboo Год назад
If I had to guess the small triangles kept breaking so it's just going to get filled in with grout. If they're using grey grout it's probably wont even be noticeable. It's also much easier to lay smaller tiles afterwards as they can shift around while setting all your tiles. Use your sponge to wipe away some mortar? Now your tiny tile shifted and you have to mess with it again.

Dont cut em upside down. You get more blowout. Just get the top cut where you need it and clean it up with a grinder. Also with those tiles i like taking a diamond file and creating a slight bevel to match the finish edges. Sometimes its a nice touch! With work like that you really think having a third isn’t going to result in a lot of standing around?

I started a trade as an electrician later in life when I started a family, no one ever expected me to work in construction. My dad is also a tradesman, a welder/boiler maker. He is getting older now. I've been watching you guys for over a year now, and I just wanted to say that as enjoyable as your videos are, it's the dynamic and the relationship you two have with each other that really got my hooked in. It really made me think of my dad, and the new connection we have with each other by both being tradesmen. We have definitely bonded more as father and son being able to talk about our work. So as random as that is, I just wanted to say thank you! P.S: As an electrician from Australia, seeing your electrical work is so foreign to me haha but it's so cool to see!

I've tried every leveling system and this one is the very best. I started with it when it was the Spin Doctor system, then bought refills under the Ridgid brand. Research the clear discs you put on the post on top of the tile under the red spinners. They keep the tile from shifting. It's a great system!

I think the river rock/pebbles look is going to age poorly. Leaves too much grout and it's going to stain, esp in a shower which well get gross. too hard to clean and most are not going to look good in 10 years. JMHO.

Impressed with your work and the detail in the video's. Curious if any of your videos show the transition from durarock to sheetrock in an alcove tub. My plan is two will meet at a corner utilizing a vinyl corner bead fastened to sheetrock and Dura rock. Schluter will tie the tile in at the corner for a smooth transition. I'm using vinyl as I've seen metal corner bead corrode in a bathroom around the tub in a previous life. I'll keep looking but wanted to ask and any comment would be appreciated. Again, very impressed and love seeing folks that actually produce and smile while doing so. The 'ol man used to have us all singling while we were digging ditches. It helped make the pick and shovel just a bit less challenging. Hard to believe that was 50 years ago.
