What’s in my toolbox? These are my must have tools to use as a PROFESSIONAL wall and floor tiler at work! Whilst working as a wall and floor tiler over the past 8 years it’s shocked me the amount of tools I’ve only found out about over the last couple of years. Tools that have changed my tiling game completely!
Starting with my knee pads I wanted to start with detailing how important it is for us to look after our bodies for longevity so we can put good quality work out there for as long as possible without destroying our bodies.
The Bihui tiler sucker was a game changer for me. I only ever thought these would be helpful for large platform tiles but I was wrong. These help even with the smallest of tiles so that we can gain more control over them
The Bihui T clips changed my game and has become my favourite tile clips to use on walls.
Nothing is more important than cleaning our work down at the end of every day. I truly believe your work is seen how ever you leave it. Leave it clean.
I wanted to share these with you all to try and help any established tilers or anyone setting out onto their tiling journey as a beginner.
These are tools that can be incorporated into wall and floor tiling, whether in a kitchen, bathroom, you name it.
Please let me know what you think of my video, what you’d like to see more of and how I can help.

43 years tiling here. Thanks for the tip on replacing the orange clips with the blue ones. My top tip is to get an X-Lock grinder and an X-Lock 14mm drill bit adapter for drilling holes in porcelain. With that, it's so easy to switch from grinding to drilling just by pulling the X-Lock release lever and snapping on the drill bit adapter. You'll need a couple of 6 inch adjustable spanners to change out the drill bits from the adapter because X-Lock grinders don't have spindle locks, but you won't need to carry a drill. Using a grinder to drill is much easier, they have more power than the average drill, and you can drill without the need of a guide because the bit won't wander as you start drilling. I use the same setup to drill soft ceramic as well. Let me know if my description makes sense, and if it doesn't, I'll make a video.

When I started In 2009 clips weren’t even out and we had to do large format 6x6 and 6x3 rectified edge by feel. Now days you have apprentices who don’t have the ability to do a single bathroom without a laser level and clips and 1000 different tools.

Do you use a wet cutter mate. Ive got a DeWalt thats that much of a chore ato aet up it barely ever gets used. We tend to hand grind 90% of our work. What grinding disks are you using. Your right about the levelers though ( game changer) the fact you can use the 1 handed. On a large format floor. wow

Hey David !! I acrually have a iQ 228 cyclone dry cutter which I use for my table cutter. Apart from that I just use a grinder, I don’t use any specific blade depends where I’m going to get them. Thanks for the comment mate!

Very well put together vid fella, just a question i have , i have very rarely seen anyone in UK at least where i live to do corners at 45degree cuts (i mean cutting tiles at 45 in the corners and rather always use dirty aluminium corner piece or some sort of finish trim , in eastern Europe it would be absolutely not acceptable to do it just wondering

Hi mate, just found your chanel, sorry dont know your name?, great video, i would have liked you to expand a bit on your other tiling tools which you have found best for your career so far, as in what is the best diamond blade for cutting porcelain tiles for your dewalt or makita?, I.E,budget and high end? Tile nippers, and must have tools. Im a handyman so its nice to learn off the pros, i hav'nt gone through your vids yet but it would be nice to see you doing some tiling, walls floors, awkward cuts, around windows, tile trims, around pipes etc. Got to take a look at those buihi clips, keep the vids coming, glad i found your chanel, kevin

That’s how I done my 4 year apprenticeship too. We also screed the wet areas and most tiling goes to ceiling height and they’re all wet areas with no shower trays here.
