It is not a new strategy or mechanic. It is just a new rote for this level. The game is a sandbox, you can combine all of the mechanics, strategies and routes as much as you like
This made me realize how much I missed the comfy-core Kotti x Classic HItman. Finding your channel actually ended up making me spend most of my spare time in the summer of 2018, speedrunning Silent Assassin. I never was into speedrunning; I wasn't even interested in watching them except for a few famous world records of games that I loved. I don't even normally like replaying a game without having years in between playthroughs, to keep it fresh; and yet I played the levels and entire runs over and over, without it getting boring. Because as I watched your runs I could just see increasingly what an anomaly this franchise is that sets it apart from most speedrunning - the strange quirks in the mechanics, the unique AI; how the ratings work and the creativity involved and the ability to improvise and how much more engaging the interactions are based on your actions, rather than just these frame-perfect methodical glitches that actually skip all of the gameplay whereas your content, to me, did the opposite. It highlights all the gameplay parts that I never even knew existed even though I've always been a fan of the series. I also like your taste for other games to run though - especially the ones that are somewhat funny and creative rather than what I'd seen from other speedruns, where it's just like watching an AI go through muscle-memorized perfect sequence of button hits as they break through the game and it doesn't show off any of the game's spirit. As such a casual fan who enjoys only two speedrunners which includes you, I'm probably in the minority when it comes to my opinions on general speedrunning, but yeah I don't care if you never improve your times that you've already set. Just watching you play through whichever sequence of routes, and explaining how it works, will always be the most fun and comfy thing to watch - I understand that after awhile it becomes hard to stay motivated in terms of running the same games, But in any case there's a ton of content already; I'll be rewatching your Hitman runs right away lol - and I also just saw that you did a Dead Space run, so I'm looking forward to checking that out too. That was way too long - I should learn some speedrun-strats for my commenting and make them super efficient and optimized.
I was wondering what the final version of this strat would look like after seeing you work on it on the stream yesterday. Wasn’t expecting the differences in how the kills came out. This is a really different and creative strat! I love how much stuff can still be done in this game over 15 years after its release

@@karlostorres7745 I'm gonna be honest with you, I used to do the same with his first and second anthology Speedrun because they are so good to watch and yet so good to listen while working, and tbh I miss doing that.
Would it be possible to line up a double headshot since both targets converge in the same area or does Papi shoot you on site there instead of just telling you to leave? Can the pistol even kill two enemies with one bullet? I always look forward to watching your full runs. You explain routes super well during commentary, and are the only person I've seen succeed so often at improvising when things go wrong.
It's possible, but lining targets up is awkward and the bullets have a weird habit of changing direction after the first hit. I've done it in A Vintage Year and it sounds cooler on paper than it is in practice.
@@TheKotti was shooting two targets with one bullet what happened years ago when you shot both Vaana and Maynard blindly through the door? Or were those two separate shots that got each of them?
Miss seeing routes like this, I've been trying to create some myself but even though I've been playing blood money since I was a little kid I don't know the game THAT well haha

I love how you speedrunners do this stuff, I did my speedruns of Hitman 2 first level after introduction and I didnt even think someone is doing this like me, one time I discovered keys for a car on a tree next to a ladder, and i tought its a bug but in Poland internet was so expensive back than and I Think there was no community at all but any way back to the Point - i. Played Hitman games so many times without even knowing of speedruning and now I wouldnt be able to conquer with you! Any way im a big fan!
ah this is a fine route I love these type of routes, like you have on the first level when the target chases you all around the house only to be thrown off. would also love to see more content speedrun or other content your stuff is always interesting!
Glad to see you made something of that idea from stream(I was at work so I couldn't stick around to see it play out). I just replicated this, and Buddy came from a different path upstairs. Not sure why, but it was slightly different. Still worked just the same though.
