From what I know Till is actually a very calm and lovable person, all his "styles" are to fit the industrial metal of their music, but he actually loves nature and just being a admirer of arts, hence why all their music is on a more simple side but has a very deep meaning to it in reality

Till speaks good Rusian language. I'm German, i met him recently in Berlin in Prenzlauer Berg, where he is living. I had a JBL party box outside in the green little park and played Karaoke by myself. He went outside and we had a smalltalk about German songs and about Lubimi Gorod. Unfortunately he had no more time, because other people recocnized him and went close to have a photo. Till is not liking those situations and left away. it was one of my best times in life to speak with him in such a private way, which ended rapidly becuase of stupid persons not respecting, when two people talk to each other. I never would like to pay this price of beeing known everywhere in this world.

Originally Till recorded this song with a video as kind of a promo for a Russian movie about WW2: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-sjjlCBkKSWk.html. It was completely his idea that he presented to the movie creators. And the song is a wartime song, it's about a comrade going to war so that his city could sleep peacefully. Lindemann's Russian sounds not perfect but actually quite good for a foreigner and he did a good job, so the reviews among the Russian audience were really positive, considering that this war topic here is a touchy subject. And this video you watched was presented a couple of weeks later. You can see the Hermitage, the major museum of Saint Petersburg and some views over the city. By the way, you're welcome to visit my city, it is incredibly beautiful and has a lot to see and to do!

As Russian, I can explain that this song isn't really popular in Russia either, it's old Soviet song which only pensioners would enjoy nowadays, tho it is beautiful in my opinion too. It's just not of our times. As americans, you probably could compare it to Frank Sinatra songs, they magnificent, but you rarely meet a person who listens to his music.

To explain "DDR" for the younger people and for the rest of the world, which was not interested in "germain details" in the past.... DDR means German Democratic Republic and was the soviet-occupied part of Germany (beside the other parts aof America, France and Great Britain). While English was a compulsory language choice in the western parts, it was Russian in the soviet part. So Till learned the russian language in school and by his very educated parents. Since 1989 the GDR ("DDR") becomes also a subsidiary of Coca-Cola, McDonalds and BlackRock. Beside this facts- Till plays always an RPG on stage. In the rare interviews he is still shy and avoids direct eye-contact!

Such a great song but Dude if you think Knebel ruined you then you haven’t seen anything til you’ve seen Platz Eins it’s on a WHOLE ‘nother level of insanity…you’d have to do it just like Knebel though watch the uncensored version while showing us the censored one. Also maybe watch the live version of Buck Dich before Platz Eins because well…one is fake and one is real that’s all I’m gonna say 😆😆

Mat AKA the ambience breaker xD I understand, I didn't laugh but when watching this for the first time I felt a bit nervous when Till got too close to one of them thinking "something wrong is gonna happen". Videowise I liked the non orchestral version of this song more, but forget it. I'd suggest another one on that channel and that is "Alle Tage ist kein Sonntag". Also chilled one, but mixed with the kind of visual concept you'd expect from Lindemann.

Not that I speak Russian but I speak Serbo-Croatian that is similar so I understand Russian and his Russian is extremely bad, also if you take away the orchestra it sounded like a piss drunk person stumbling home after a night out singing to passers by

As a native Russian speaker, I can say that his pronunciation is actually really good, especially considering the fact that he doesn’t use this language on an every day basis. Don’t understand why you’re so negative towards his singing of the song :) In my opinion, it is another example of wide Till’s vocal opportunities.

@@tosa2522 Ok last comment from me about this, I am sorry if I offended anybody, no I don't think Russian sounds like drunk people, I listen to a bunch of Russian bands with my top 3 being, Grai, Arkona, Ic3peak.... but I did think his Russian was bad and I thought his singing in this song also was bad.
