Love your Indigos. I've made a few in the past using double gauze and structured fabrics - made me look 'bigger' and the facings kept flipping out ( to resolve the problem, I stitched it down using a wide seam allowance). You have inspired me to revisite the pattern and make using drapey viscose and adding ties. PS I love your channel ❤️

Lovely video, loved seeing all the versions and how you've tweaked it to suit your style. I love the Indigo, you've made me want to revisit it... I'll add it to the ever growing list of "to makes". Elisa x

It is a fab pattern but definitely one for some that needs to be tweaked, thank you and good luck with your ever growing list 😂 mine is the same x

really like the details. i have made several for summer with various sleeves. I like the bias binding because facing comes out unless you top stitch it down.

Thank you, I am definitely a bias convert now 😊

Loved watching this and am hoping you do a Lotta dress one as I've just ordered the pattern. Your last 2 dresses are fabulous. I'm very much a beginner and am finding your videos so inspiring. Thank you 😊

Definitely make an Indigo top as they are lovely to wear. Do you think that the bias finished neckline sits flatter? Thank you for taking the time to show us all your indigo versions💕

Thank you. Yes I definitely prefer the bias neckline x

Will be trying bias on my next Indigo as facing flips out on one I have made , spoils an otherwise great top. Thanks 😊

Thank you for your discussion of the Indigo. I got the Indigo in a kit with a cotton seersucker-type (plisse?) fabric, and I've been recluctant to use this fabric for this dress because of the same issues you had with your cotton one. It has even a little more body that a plain cotton, and I figure I would have to pleat the skirt rather that gather it so it will lay flatter. But I'm thinking I should just pick a softer fabric and just make it already! haha I like the pattern and all yours are fabulous 😁

Thank you 😊 to be honest I have seen versions in a seersucker but with the third tier on the skirt. I personally wouldn’t use cotton again because it’s not the most flattering but with ties it could work 😊 but just make it 😊 it’s a fab pattern x

How do you change facing to bias bound?
@whatbecsews
@whatbecsews Год назад
I would not attach the facing and instead use a bias binding and add that as you normally would bias binding, it wouldn't require any changes to the pattern. I probably would measure the area to ensure I had enough bias binding. If you haven't added bias binding before, there are some great tutorials here on your tube just literally search how to add bias binding. Hope that answers your question lovely :-)

I’ve one more question. I’ve pinned my binding, would I see it at 5/8th so the same as the facing would have been and then fold the binding to the inside.
