omg.....the way you explain and share complete details about everything...just love it brother...i watched rs3 pro detailed review and this tilta hydra mini arm review....for sure ill watch every video you shared....keep inspiring thank you so much
Out of all the youtubers, they picked the best one for the subject. Nice one, Adam! Thanks! And your lovely wife did a great job on the protective cover!
Yes, long raw footage is what I want to see! I'll say that putting on R2 is a bit too much for the arm...? I can see small shakes due to hitting the swing limit, but the footage is really useable!
Yes it is true, you can see a slight vibration but it was the result of bad settings in ronin 2, remember it was the first test drive with ronin 2 pro. After adding strength to the motors and advanced settings (filters, smothness etc) everything was smooth 💪
@@BestboyAdam Cool! Now I am wondering if you setup the arm shorter, then it should means that the payload could be larger than 10kg? This opens up more possibilities and makes the rig safer in a weird way.
oooo yes, for sure. I just need to calculate exactly how much the payload will be then but I need someone more knowledgeable to do that 😅 As soon as I find out I'll let you know
Thank you sir! Very interested in the fact that you were able to shorten the arm by leaving out a section, and I'm curious about that shield you have mounted behind the 4d, presumably to protect from debris and wind.
I still have problems sometimes with the Alien Arm, sometimes the RS2 starts to wobble the pan axis slightly and that infuriates me. Even with the motor strength at its minimum
I hear you. I think it's an RS2 problem, first time I ever tried the Hydra Alien we used an old Ronin MX and that thing was rock solid. Need to do more tests but I suspect the RS2 is not up to the task.
Greetings, how did you manage to control the Rs3 ronin with the crane control? Could you tell us what module to buy to be able to control the Ronin from the crane control? Excellent video, greetings from Mexico
Thanks for this useful review. Did you measure the power draw of the arm? Tilta's website says 1800wH, but watt hours is a measure of capacity not power, and 1800W seems a bit high. Thanks!
Also, I have another question if you don't mind. How slowly can you set the arm to move? ie if you set the speed to the minimum, how fast is it? Thanks!
Awesome, my first question was going to be; what do you think of putting the Ronin 4D on it? I'm still waiting on my Nanomorph lens set. I can't wait to try it out on the Ronin 4D.
Please which ECOflow model did you use, Tilta has no power block recommendations and when I called ECOflow the lady I spoke with did basically recommended a 2 block system for any 220v usage
At this point, would you not think a Drone is a more versatile pick ? You can get way more creative shots compared to a camera car. The only limiting factor is Payload Capacity and Max Speed, depending on your rig
6:58 that is not the way the strap goes in to the ratchet! The belt should always enter the ratchet from outside and leave through the inside. That way it is much easier to undo the ratched when you want to remove it.
It should not be depending on what you are doing... you should have someone on the arm qualified at all times this is not a jimmy jib. You are asking for trouble by saying anything otherwise.
@@BestboyAdam Your statements are worrying, i can understand your passion in wanting to achieve great cinematic shots but on this occasion you are out of order suggesting what you did.You are putting people's life at risk, i do this for a living and it annoys me when film equipment is not used in a safe way. End of the day we all want to achieve great shots but not at the cost of human life, which unfortunatley has happened too many times.
@@mariospanna8389 woooow I will honestly tell you that I don't know what to tell you. Tell me, did you even take the time to watch the whole video or are you just taking isolated sentences out of context? I put a very strong priority on safety and I mentioned it several times in this episode so I have no idea why you accuse me of such things as risking people's lives???? dude come on.
do you mean the moment in the video where I say that anyone can do it and everything can be learned or what because I really don't understand your charge about inviting people to take risks ???
@@BestboyAdam "A two person team will be able to take the simplest shots" yes i did watch all your video is this not what you said? . I am not taking anything out of context, anyone who makes that statement and defends it is taking risks.
