One of my favourites. A very much underrated and forgotten about series, "Tim" is Elton Obi's finest work, at least in my opinion! Set in High Wycombe, "Tim" follows the life of Mr. Timothy John Burns in his neverending quest to become the town's most famous pianist! The most incredible thing about this series is that it's quite like a kitchen sink drama where almost all of the action takes place inside the walls of Tim's rented flat. A real challenge for the director, Obi's friend Phil Skaggs but Skaggs pulls it off perfectly. Obi is often better remembered for his other BBC series like "Oceanquake" and "Canal" from the 70s but personally I think "Tim" has much more of that typical Obi charm thanks to Skaggs and the cast, like the late great Howard Ashbourne who played Tim Burns and Mark Davidson who played his best pal Ted "Moose" Conroy.
