Canelo hasn't fought a big time name opponent in a long time since Triple G. He just boxes against winnable opponents after another. Benavidez is the fight fans dream match and Canelo is not taking it. I get that Canelo doesn't need Benavidez to make millions per fight. But it says a lot about Canelo avoiding that big match that will truly test Canelo. This isn't about hating on anyone.

Why didn’t Benavidez beat the other top guys at 168? Why is Canelo who started his career at 140, far more accomplished at a division Benavidez was champ at way back in 2017? Canelo is cherry picking avoiding the number one contender at 168lbs for 3 YEARS! Canelo should win due to being in that weight class for so long and fighting more elite fighters with more experience. I’m rooting for the under dog Munguia!
