When I first saw the clip, I thought he was faking it, but not intentionally or to be scummy. I think he just said that it was his "coming out video" obviously as a joke as straight men don't usually appreciate other men openly and he realised how it could be perceived as offensive and could get cancelled so threw some sort of vague label on it, as to not be too controversial. It was reactionary in my opinion and a result of people nowadays sometimes taking offence with something with no intent to harm
He's only as gay or straight as the fans want him to be. I think he is gay and came out as an impulse but the industry said he won't get any fans,( which he won't anyway because he's wimpy..girls want hunks.) So he went back in the closet
