@Jerf Hankell God or not, we have natural rights. Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Just cause you're too cowardly to protect your rights doesn't mean you can't
@@JustTheTip556 Just like property owners, the public has a right to set the rules in a public space. When 75% of people want a national mask mandate for public spaces, you are denying them the right to control that public space since it is funded by taxpayer dollars and therefor owned collectively by all tax payers. Since there are so many owners the rules of public spaces are established democratically. Your 25% of people who are against the mandate are outweighed by the three quarters who are in favor of it. The idea that you aren't allowed to have rules in public spaces is absolutely ridiculous. Is forcing people to wear clothes in public an attack on their freedom? Is forcing people to respect the traffic code an attack on their liberty? Is kicking someone out of an airport for swearing at an employee an attack on their freedom? Society functions thanks to public rules, you just love to ignore that when it helps your argument. TL;DR: americans don't understand democracy
The concept of controlling the population has been known by every generation and every society in history, GIVE THEM BREAD AND CIRCUS AND THEY WILL LOVE YOU FOREVER , EVEN AS THEY ARE REDUCED TO SLAVES.
Y'all are just living in the wrong part of the country. Where I live, people really care about their rights. It's all they talk about. Maybe in the cities people don't care, but get out to the heartland and the South, people care.
He’s not wrong. A buddy of mine came from the Navajo res and would say that a lot. That the govt gave his people cable tv and good tasting snacks and the people completely rolled over and forgot their rights
They forgot the flavor of the sweet acorn White acorns taste like sweet buttery deliciousness when blanched right I'm Navajo too, born mixed with a socal security number Agave tastes like caramel when cooked, look it up it's a traditional recipe & is very playable in dishes, I've used it I used just leaves a cm or 2 thick as I grow them
Its absolutely NOT nihilism because he is describing, really, how people will find meaning AWAY from combat on twitter about "rights" (which is real nihilism, because no one seriously does that who has a meaningful life: true activism is a serious thing which people like constitutional lawyers have committed their life to, not by losers on youtube). The truth is that there is ZERO benefit or good to be had from all this worry, all this twitter fighting.
I need to harness some of that F it attitude. I get pretty down in the dumps about the slow collapse of western civilization. But maybe I should just put my feet up, grab a beer and enjoy the show.
@@owen5640 Civilization is collapsing fundamentally because people DONT say F it. That's the paradox. If this were a nation of people kicking their feet up and enjoying a beer (plus focusing on their own lives, treating people in their real life well, their passions, as well as civics & LOCAL government, etc.), then civilization wouldn't be collapsing in the first place. And the thought that by "not caring" you're "allowing the evil antifa/nazis to win" is just a complete illusion: you have millions of people convinced that communism/capitalism is gonna destroy the world and we gotta beat it, which means you have a population that is reacting out of ignorance & fear 24/7, and that has ruined the sociocultural fabric and the mental health of the populace. So you have a DUTY to yourself and your country to kick back and drink a beer, frankly.
@@owen5640 yea just secure your bag within these next couple years as the recession comes into effect. If it ain’t about you and your money. Forget about it
A couple? I went from being 40 and never owing a gun in March to 9 guns and thousands of rounds of ammunition today and I’m still buying. I have guns hidden all over the house. They are so much fun I only wish I had discovered them sooner. Thank God I live in a Republican state

You know full well that if the government held a vote for the whole population where it’s keep the first amendment or get it taken but free food and drugs for everyone forever no limit the second would win in a landslide
@@TheJohhnyE Alcohol can be used to dumb you down, but real rights, like the first amendment, can be used to speak your mind freely without being imprisoned like they do in China.
I think it’s hard to maintain the bandwidth to mentally deal with some of that stuff in your day-to-day (I know I can’t) and it looks like people don’t care. I think you’re right though, that they DO care, they just don’t notice until it’s gone.
Coming from a teacher of 8th graders, he is right about the future. Our youth don’t care about their true rights. They just want to be taken care of and have no clue the sacrifice that has happen for them in the past.
To be fair, when I was in 8th grade I just wanted to have fun and had no understanding rights. I look back now and think, “wow I had no concept of critical thinking”😅
I was arrested for surfing in california in may. When I tell people I'm suing for a violation of my civil rights, some people say stop crying... I run into this kind of person quite often, they're so full of themselves and repeat mainstream narratives.

How ironic that our comedians in this country at least many of them are calling out the nonsense and truth what’s been going on in this country for awhile. And Americans aren’t paying attention…
@@jake4297 problem with unfollowing all the stuff is , u become so out of touch sometimes, like one day it will suddenly hit you your neighborhood is not safe anymore , and then u would be like shld I move ,wht happen how things got so bad here, and then basically it is one was calling out the bs oyher was calling them that phonic this phobic, as much we say everything is gone , a vote still matter and to understand who to vote we have to watch the shit and be aware🙄

Many Americans just want to go to work and go home to their families. They don’t care about politics. This year many Americans have politics forced down there throats it’s sickening to say Atleast
Politics should be a means to protect citizens liberty rights and freedom of commerce. That's it. It should not be passing bans left and right on things that trigger the loudest people in the room
Many animals on the factory farm just want to stay in their pen and eat their food. They don't care about management. This year, many animals are prematurely sent to the slaughterhouse, which is sickening to say the least. *fixed it for yah!
I mean not really. People fight for their rights in all kinds of ways. You’ve got gun people with their political action organizations like the NRA, GOA, etc fighting legal battles. Then there’s the ACLU fighting for free speech and things like that (at least they used to). And you have groups like the Innocence Project helping those who were wrongfully convicted. People do care maybe it’s just not so obvious in everyday life
Sad. Crap food and crap education dumbs us down and its a herculean task to rise above it....................... most don't even realise untill they gcheck the menu in a good restaurant (code for very expensive) and look at the sylabus of private schools.............. then they have to overcome the conditioning and msm ......... all done in plain site............. Luckily the energy that is blasting Earth from outer space is waking people up!!! Otherwise we'd be f.....................
He absolutely nailed the head when he said the best days are behind us. Almost 2 years after this video was posted and NOTHING has gotten better, in any corner of the globe
@@gregabrams5792 the issue is there can never be an absence of power. In a socialist country, the government controls everything. In a capitalist society companies fill that void. You get freedom with money, without it, you're pretty fucked. But if you're poor, you're actually better off in a socialist country that'll take care of you. Essentially, companies have figured out the most optimal way to take advantage of citizens, this is something a socialist country could never achieve, because there isn't enough competition to take advantage of the citizens because it's one government. The only hope people have is they might invent something that'll change their life, but what's the likelihood of that happening? Most people just live and die poor
It’s because vast majority are uneducated and don’t understand the concept of “rights”. Most young “educated” people couldn’t tell one thing about the Constitution or even the Bill of Rights. Sad but true.
@@jondubb35 but see that is part of the problem if freedom, if you give the people the option to be uneducated, a lot of people will take it. Also, think about how fucked up our education system is on top of that. Then think about people's personal interest. Civics isn't at the top of a lot of people's interests. This is why even Plato wrote that a true democracy can never succeed, because people are too lazy to educate themselves. But this is the cost of freedom. You give people an option to be lazy, most people will take it, then you just capitalize on their laziness. I don't think it's anything new and technology will only make it worse
@@buxadonoff Doubtful. People will adapt to losing their rights (except the "right" to food, happiness, etc. which of course aren't even "rights" at all). Maybe they'll care for a bit, but they'd care much more if they had to trade their life for the right to free speech, or to bear arms, say. They'll learn to be happy in unarmed silence, as people have for all of human history. Because ultimately, these rights are abstractions that pale in importance to the brute, visceral reality of our animal existence, the fact of our mortality, and much more immediate concerns.
