The adopted son of Tim Ferriter testifies how he "occasionally" was given breakfast before school and spent most of his days mornings and evenings locked in the room made for him in the garage.
I wish I could have taken him out of that home, given him love and respect (kids deserve respect). He seems like such a wonderful kid. Yes, he was rebellious. Maybe he did some bad things. Those sound like desperate attempts to get people to take him out of there.
When a child is unloved and neglected they misbehaved...for a child that was never liked forget love negative or even abused feels better than nothing at all... Poor kid he hasn't been love since he came into this world 😢

@karenjones8713 Maybe rebellion towards them. But, they were reacting to his criminal behavior. This happens with kids that are adopted from bad circumstances, sometimes. The worse the situation, the worse they are. I know from experience.
He never asked to be adopted by these nasty disturbing people! I pray he gets justice and that both of them are put in jail, locked up and treated in the way they treated him, but 10x worse
I agree. And this poor young guy had such a tough life since the moment he was born in VietNam. He had no one to hold him or love him. And then he gets with these two demons.
Imagine being locked in the dark while hearing your siblings laugh and play. Hearing your parents talk lovingly and kind to your siblings. Smelling dinner being made knowing you will get peanut butter bread, no hot meal. Imagine having to use a bucket as your toilet while being trapped in that little dark enclosure stuck with the smell of your waste.
I know what that is like. I was treated that way as a child. The suffering and the scars, cannot be removed. Its for life and you have a deep feeling of not being allowed to live at all.
A well-to-do family provides prison type unhealthy diet for their son. Father shows no remorse or shame. Happy to see that he has now a chance to taste his own medicine.

Ikr It's like manufacturing malnutrition! And I bet they rationalized it in their twisted heads. Lazy & Cruel. But IMHO I'd suspect this was mostly bc their son was forced to sht in a bucket. They kept his stomach empty. They wanted to minimize the downside of imprisoned torture for themselves. Worst ppl ever.

I remember reading someone's account in prison about getting a PB sandwich there and them looking forward to it --- only to discover it was the most rotten-tasting pb in the world. It was putried. THAT is the meal these two deserve.
Yes, amazingly stupid. It couldn't have happened to a more deserving person. Ferriter is going away for a long time. There is a precedent to be made here, and the court will make it. Otherwise pricks like him will believe that they can behave like this and get away with it for little or no prison time. I am certain that he will get a sentence that will make people think twice about imprisoning their children. It is a wicked crime and normal decent people have zero tolerance for it.
he turned 2 yrs away because he believes his monster evil ways were right. Im glad he got convicted and hope he and she spend the max so their kids can visit him in a box.
I don’t think they fed him lies, I think he just thought he could get away with it. I’m glad he didn’t listen to them because it means he’s going to go away for much, much longer. Something he richly deserves. The wife as well.
He’s an exceptionally bright boy, and going through puberty at that time as well. Depriving him of intellectual and athletic pursuits had to have caused him major frustration, working against their seeming goal to control him. He needed more outlets, not less, which makes this appear more as a way to punish him through deprivation. He had to have felt intense resentment and jealousy toward the other children. He’s going to need help to unbury all of this.
I have to say I think this child needs to be monitored and to go to therapy. He would kill animals, physically hurt people and express the desire to kill people. He was already showing sociopath tendencies and this punishing treatment must have worsened his mental state even more. They definitely scarred him for life..
This poor child. Iwas a single parent 2 my son n he by no means was an angel, but i would never in my wildest nightmare ever think 2 treat him with such abuse. This is absolutely sickening 2 think that there r people calling themselves parents when they r truly evil. I just cannot fathom children living this way. Good luck 2 u kid. Prayers r with u.
As a nerd myself, I will be happy to have him as a son, mathematically gifted and very smart, yet his Father never appreciated him. Smart kids like him are often misundrstood, his inquisitive mind is far different from average intelligent teenagers. Tsk!
They had the means to get help for him and learn ways to parent successfully. He obviously has some mental issues going on. Some possibly born with and then some created by their treatment of him. Completely stripping him from any type of stimulation would cause a huge reason for him acting out. Ive seen animals being treated better. Its so sad.
I would sure HOPE you've seen animals being treated better. I don't understand why so many people think it's ok for animals to be underfed, isolated, or kept in cages.
It was not only cruel & illegal to lock this child in a room but also incredibly dangerous! It would have been a death sentence in the event of fire or other catastrophic event 😡 The parents also sometimes left the child in the locked room when the family left the premises!
These parents are insufferable pigs, I hope he gets the full 40 yrs. That’s what he gets when he could of done a plea deal and got 24 months! So happy he didn’t take it! I hope he suffers everyday locked up!
This child didn’t have a separate normal bedroom to live in most of the time & was only sent to the box room when he misbehaved. The ONLY approximation of a bedroom was that box they used to cage him & psychologically abuse him.
I don’t care what this child has done there is no logical explanation for what these so called parents did to him! I hope they both get the maximum sentence possible and never get to see any of their children ever again!
The mother needs to be charged also. She is just as responsible for this inhumane treatment of her adopted son. Hideous! Both socalled parents are animals! It's unspeakable and sick!
This man Tim Ferriter doesnt realize what he has done. He is evil and lost. Its weird how evil ppl do not see their own deeds, not even shame for torturing a child. So strange.
whats sad is that these are his adoptive parents! why adopt childred if you are going to treat them worse than cockroaches! its so sad, I hope this boy grows into a good decent man and doesnt let his horrific experience with these people ruin his life goals and dreams. stay strong little buddy! 🙂
the foster 'care' system is corrupt, a very large percentage of people who foster do it for the money, NOT because they want to love and care for a child...serious problem in our system
Yes I have a neighbour like that. She never sees her own grandchildren…that is how much she loves children! She only looks after babies these days…they can’t tell anyone anything. I’m not suggesting she is abusive but there is absolutely no interaction going on. I think she gets nearly £400 a week for fostering.
We treat delivery people, movers and workers around our home who are basically strangers better than this. We give them water and or a soda, power bars or fruits, sometimes even lunch and other times we tip them so they can buy a nice lunch. We offer them our bathroom too. My pets live like kings and queens. These people are the DEVIL!
I’m a mother and I just want the mother to be locked because regardless if this is your blood child or not, there is just no way a MOTHER would allow this evil to occur.
The one positive take away I get from this situation is that this young boy knows full and well, what happened to him is no reflection on him. Victims of abuse overcome the traumatic events so much more successfully when they can ground themselves in that fact. He will have some bumps as he moves forward but the indisputable facts regarding the perpetrator and surrounding himself with honest and caring people will give him the edge to go forth and have a more compassionate and meaningful life.
He kept a stoic face. I wonder what his face looks like now that the other prisoners have changed it quite a bit. Hopefully they treat him with the same respect he gave his son. Exactly the same/
Exactly! I understand they didn't get help from the school when they asked, it happens all too often. But that doesn't mean "welp, I guess we'll just build him a box and stick him there with just bread and water and a bucket." You keep searching. Resources are out there. And while many can't afford behavioral problem camps or boot camps, these people could have.
Solitary confinement. Let out only to work. Peanut butter sandwiches only - poor nutrition. What accountability is the mother being forced to take in all this??? Parents from HELL!!!!!!!
I believe if you adopt a child you get money each month until they are 18 they also get healthcare free. I believe this is also true and they also get four years of state college paid for. Was the reason for adopting him money? Because it sure was an out of love.

I will never approve of these parents and their actions. However, I could safely assume that many of us had a very rough childhood, yet never made it to court.
Why would anyone adopt a child just to threat them worse than a house pet? Even with behavioral problems this was wrong on so many levels. Behavioral problems were probably exacerbated because of this treatment 🥺
Ugh ...i was not given breakfasts ...no money fir snaks ...my matrees on the floor in basement ...i did not know i was abused... it took 30 years to getvitvand then recover from the damage 💔 ...im old lady now and i cook three meals a day and SPOIL MY 😸 kitties and GROW LOTS IF FOOD MYSELF...and i give 100 pounds if it away each season....chin up SON LIFE IS WORTH... NOT GIVING UP.
Wow my father would’ve gotten 100 years if they prosecuted him for the many belt beatings the 3 of us got. Late 70s thru Mid 80s. Belt beating that left welts. Surprisingly the 4 child and last born received no physical beatings and turned out by far the worst. Still living at home at 40 never left and basically terrorizing elderly parents. That being said these 2 have no clue and both will go to gladiator school for 5 years each followed by supervision
Omg what mother allows her husband to do this let alone feed him so poorly with the same thing every day. And he was literally excluded from the family… and why didn’t they get him into therapy for his behavioural issues.

The child is 16 years old. He ran away and reported the abuse at age 14. It took two years to finally go to trial. He was adopted by these "parents " from an orphanage in Vietnam at the age of 18 months.
Pets are better taken care and loved than this child ever was😢 My dogs are living a better life and received more love snacks and have better sleeping accommodations than this poor child 😢
