The defense team for Florida father Timothy Ferriter said he made “tough choices” when disciplining and controlling his son’s behavior during their opening statements in court Tuesday. Ferriter is facing prison time for aggravated child abuse and false imprisonment after investigators said he beat his teen son and locked him inside an 8x8 room for hours - forcing the child to use a bucket to relieve himself. Ferriter told police at the time of his arrest that his son had behavioral issues and was working to fix them.

How ignorant is this defense team? They look foolish standing there defending these creep parents and not even prepared. If the parents didn’t know it was criminal then why lie and hide the cage room from the authorities? If anyone thinks this ok, seek help. You are as sick as they are. 💔

How was it hidden. The mum led the detective straight to it when he was in the house. Even let him back in when asked to go back in it? Did you watch his testimony

@@bannontrenton9522 They DID NOT say anything about the little boy being in that cage. They hid the sheets and bucket from authorities. They knew it was wrong and they would go to jail if they were caught. They lied to the contractor who built the cage who went to police. They knew it was criminal so chose to lie to authorities. Anyone who defends these monsters is no different than they are and please seek help. You are not well.

p@@bannontrenton9522 Yes , they were hiding things, they told the boy to keep quiet and not say anything about it, and they didn’t voluntarily go and tell the authorities :Hey we built this cage to lock our son inside...

They could send him to counseling and not lock a child in a box. That's beyond me you get him into programs you get him help for his behavior not do that. Horrific. I don't care how bad a child is you keep trying to get him help. They gave up and put him in a box and thought that would change his behavior umm noo. Beyond sociopathic behavior on the parents.

There is no help for parents with troubled teen children in this country this is the truth. I witnessed this with my own family. CPS don’t care about troubled teens as they care about little children because no one wants to foster them as opposites to younger kids. Parents are left alone with all the mess… sad but true

Instead of blaming the child because his biological mother dropped him at an orphanage, why the parents wouldn’t give him love and hear the kid out? He didn’t need a school to engage him more, he needed to be seen, heard and loved by the parents
