Elizabeth Gunn Tbf the MISTI is based on previous use of Letterpress for stamping going back years - it wasn't anything unique and the sales policies (if the product breaks the manufacturer makes the vendor liable - dodgy as hell) are putting off a lot of stores from selling it.
The Spin Doctor yeah I have repurposed my letterpress for this and misti was way to expensive for me. My sister bought a cheaper version and said it wasn't great. I'd buy this if I wasn't so busy buying art supplies these day :O
Believe it or not, as a prolific artist/crafter/designer/professional arts and crafts instructor, I never gravitated to Stamps to make cards, but this Stamp Platform, changed the way I see stamping. Now I'm excited!
I just placed my order for this awesome looking tool! Can't wait until April! This looks amazing and I love how versatile it is with the ease of transitioning from rubber stamps to clear...Brilliant design!
What an amazing product. I am going to order it for sure. The concept is perfect, the way it works immediately, to allow a quick, and easy access to both rubber, and photopolymer stamps, just by flipping the lid! The price is a lid flipper as well. Great product all the way around. I am sold on it!!!! April can't come fast enough for me....smile
I need this in my life! Can't wait for it to come out in the UK. Could never justify spending money on a Misti - it's a great tool but seriously I have a mortgage so it's never happening! I'm so glad Tim Holtz has brought out an affordable stamping tool which actually looks well better!
wow, thank you Tim for coming up an affordable stamp press. You are such a blessing for us crafters. I am looking forward for you to come up with a typewritter😘
Folks...he didn't steal anyone's idea. He just made a version that suited his style more. There is nothing wrong with that. Maybe the price of the Misti will come down now. That is what has kept me from buying a Misti. Tim's is only $40. The Misti that size is a lot more! Also the Misti is hard to find. Tim's products are at Michael's and Hobby Lobby.
Very well said Sally Yotz. Plus it's nice to have different brands of items to choose from. Just take a look at all the different brands of cars, etc. Glad everyone is not driving the same model..... So I'm totally in agreement with you. Nothing wrong with making a version or getting a version that suits you. Something in this world always gets copied and made a little bit better (or worse). And I love love the price!
This is the second time I've seen you demonstrate this new platform. I can't wait till it comes out, but now I am going to buy the distress markers too! Thanks so much
I LOVE TIM and all his ideas and innovations! I bought the WRMK version of stamping tool, but I WILL be buying Tim's asap! IT has ALL the features I like about both the WRMK and the MISTI tools! Leave it to Tim! He rocks!
I thought this video was awesome!!! He was so funny and so accurate and understanding of how we stampers think. Loved it! He's convinced me to buy one now, for sure!
A patent protects a particular product not an idea. Take a MISTI, for example. Change the engineering or improve upon it, and you now have a new product. This isn't stealing. This isn't patent infringement. This is called innovation. I do believe most of us want to see products improved upon. Way to go Tim! I'm sorry I didn't see this RU-vid Video until today but as soon as I did, I ordered one. I like my "We R" platform very much. It's never failed me regardless of stamp type and I've even dropped it a few times w/o a scratch but I always like to see improvements! Also, couldn't beat the price - $30 on Etsy when I preordered. Should be here in less than 3weeks.
Tim Holtz could sell me beachfront property in Arizona--I think he is the BEST at demonstrating how to use and ENJOY a product!!! Notice he always has a bunch of "groupies" at his demos!!! I only wish I had known this Platform was about to debut, since I just bought MISTI for myself and a gift for a friend. Love that the lid flips and eliminates the foam piece!!!
I just got one yesterday 10/12/17 in the mail I had no clue what was in the box so I was absolutely surprised when I opened the box It had a card inside the platform between the plates that said ( A Gift for You ) I have no clue who sent it to me ... I checked the address a few times and it was mine with my name . Thank you so much whoever you are that sent me that it's fun and makes things much easier... 🤗
That's why I didn't buy the misti, I knew that a better one would be out.plus its larger and has grips so it doesn't slide. Thanks Tim holtz love all your products. But got to work on fixing first vagabond for repairs!!!
CPR stamper😂😆😃Me, too! I did buy parts to make 1.But now Im gonna buy THIS one!!!Luv the removable lid n the "solidness" of this.I hate flimsy products.Excellent video; Tim is quite the showman; so personable.Between Mikey@ the Crochet Crowd n Tim I have soooo much fun crafting.Thx for yr invention. It's a must-have...n the price aint bad either!👍
I just bought this type of stamping tool @ Michael's with a coupon (not the Misti and less expensive )and I love it. But I will definitely get one of these in the near future too as it takes larger paper and has more versatility. Great design Tim!
Oh, my gosh! I have a Misti, but I really like the looks and features of this. Plus, a very reasonable price point. It's calling my name! If Tim Holtz's name is on a product, I always know that it will be a quality product.
I bought a Mini Misti just because the full size one is so expensive. I will definitely be getting this Tim Holtz tool, much better price point than the full size Misti. Can't wait 'til April!!
You will probably get it sooner than US. Holland already has his new Cityscape dies. It's always puzzled me that Europe seems to have more & BETTER SELECTIONS OF Sizzix/Holtz/Spellbinders products compared to the U.S. Hope TRUMP can rectify this ;>|
I love this, I've had several, one was warped and they wouldn't replace. Had another and magnets broke and they don't sell them. I'm going to order this one. Thanks Tim
OMG I need this, thank u so much for posting this. I had dexterity problems n spanning large stamp blocks hurts, I am also finding it impossible to find acrylic blocks with shaped sides like the old wood blocks were. Cant hold on to the thin blocks that are popular now, this is SO the answer
I am on the wait list for this. Can't wait ;) also I and many others have been waiting for ever for a long reach tiny attacher, I love mine but it does not reach into the page far enough, pretty pretty please maybe next CHA ;0
I've seen all the new ones plus the misti demoed. This by far is the best of the whole lot all things considered. And the price is incredible considering. I'm glad the Hampton Art product was not ini stock at Michaels or online the day I went to buy it.. Saw the WRMK model and thought 'wow'.. then I saw this and it thought WOW WOW. So glad I waited. Will def purchase this.
I am new with card making. I write alot and I am trying handmade card making by applying my Christian poems and love poem to my own cards. I really really love have this tool. So good. I hope save some money from sales to get it next month. Thanks for the video helped alot.
Can't wait to get mine...already pre- ordered one last week from Marcos Papers...free shipping and handling and also got 20 percent off and paid ...drum roll... $31.99 ...😊😊😊😊😆😆😆 Now to be patient till April for it to get here. Tim knows US Stampers. Been rs for 33 yrs. 😊
Robin LaVonne Moore Thank you so much for the tip on where to purchase on sale! Crafting can quickly become very expensive, especially when you're addicted. Lol.. I just placed my order. Thanks again cause every bit of savings counts.🙂
Mrs. Missy H-B I'm glad I was able help...I understand about saving money on our addiction...and investing in a good tool for our addiction...lol. can't go wrong when Tim Holtz comes up with a perfect tool for us stampers and you know this tool is built good and reasonably priced for all to afford. I love Marco Papers and enjoy buying from them online and also at the conventions they attend each year in Akron Ohio...Adventures In Rubberstamping...wooooo hoooo 😊😊😊
Robin LaVonne Moore THANK YOU!! I just pre-ordered it through their site! I already have the mini Misti but have wanted the bigger one for awhile but couldn't really justify it. This is so different and I love how paper can hang off the side and not get bent! I love it!! Cannot wait for it to arrive in April!! Thanks for the tip on the website and the discount!! :) Maybe I'll buy some of the oxides now. ;)
Eyes On Allison So glad to help and save money as well...especially on Shipping now that postage has gone up. I love Marco Papers... This is going to be so worth the money and good quality and not having to buy a special spray to clean the multi media stuff you will be using on the Platform. 😊😊😊
Tim, U crack me up! CPR stamper...now I know there's a term for how I stamp. Can't wait to get this, even though I have a Misti & We R Memory keeper platforms.
OMG......had I not seen this video, the Misti would have been ordered three minutes ago. I pre-ordered this stamping machine and I can't wait to get it. (3/13/2018)
LOVE LOVE this, I got one from my sister-n-law for my birthday present this month.....yah!!!!!!!! Tim Holtz, have you made us a smaller version to take to card classes etc yet??????? Please, please, please...I know you can ya know...xoxoxo Marlamae from the White Mtn of AZ...
Me too! This stamp press looks awesome and seems to be the best of both worlds with the open sides for larger paper like the We R Memory Keepers stamp press and the magnets like the Misti. I have the Hampton Arts stamp press. I was really glad they made it available, it is terrific and affordable! $15 at Michaels (on sale), vs $50-70 for the other kind. I am happy with the one I have but I think this Tim Holtz one might end up on my Christmas list this year :)
This doesn't come out until April. I find many Michaels employees don't know what is coming until it is in their store. Check back later in the Spring.
