What Tim Kennedy did was nothing short of heroic. He risked his life to enter a hostile foreign country, rescuing thousands of people without expecting anything in return. That is simply commendable. He deserves some kind of humanitarian reward.
I mean I heard from several guys who were there on the ground tim frequently got in the way, caused issues with security, and made situations about himself when he didn’t need to. at one point he allegedly helped drive a bus of civilians through an alternate checkpoint near abbey gate, which they had to turn around and dedicate resources to herding those people out because they hadn’t been verified by the state department. whats chilling is that we are very capable of acting in the same manor, the Taliban is the same humanoid as us, germany was considered in a sense even more civil than the usa ,before hitlers radical brainwashing took over, than they acted very similar to the taliban, only keeping people to exploit for their skills and eliminating the rest or work them to death in simple work, its so hilarious that todays black people are trained to be traumatized by the slavedom of their forefathers by the white man ,not realizing that those forefathers were sold by their own kind into slavery and might have in some cases had a better life than had they stayed in africa were tribal wars was the norm and so was cannibalism, those slave ships were horrible ,it was very wrong, but in the grand sceme of things you are here because of them and now is good for you so embrace what you have and use it to make your life the best it can be,don't dwell at the past

So, if we lowly retired Special Forces members knew, how could all these high-level, graduate-school-educated, general officers and politicians not know. I understand your frustration but this is the reality of "countries" like Afghanistan. I put quotations because that country only exist as Afghanistan because the British decided to draw a couple of lines and call it that. It was never going to last as soon as the US decided it couldn't prop up a fake country any more. I wish we would have rescued more people out of the country before it fell and think this current administration deserves that criticism but, staying there long term was always going to end that way. If you want to really control these countries, you have to install authoritarian dictators or theocracies. It's just the reality.

Thing is a + 2 or 3 let's say like for the avg European family wouldn't work there - afghan families are waaay larger. after the airport situation we actually found out that many ppl made it on the planes to EU that weren't in our service and we left many more behind that should have been the ones coming into Germany instead. this idea of "you're in, now you can bring in everyone to your second cousin on your mom's side" won't work on such a scale. Then we can just drop all pretense, get rid of passports and borders and let everyone in. It's impossible to control. So yeah, It's a bad situation with bad alternatives...the way the country was abandoned overnight didn't leave much room for compromise or negotiation with Taliban which would've been possible a few years ago. Since no one really loved the afghan republic enough to defend it from Kandahar or even Kabul one of the largest ground forces (the ANA on paper) just fell together or joined the Taliban. All in all horrible every way you look at it. Why couldn't we stay longer - at least until we pulled out regularly?

Why did we allow TRUMP to sign the withdrawal terms. The Taliban got this deal from DONALD TRUMP. BIDEN SHOULD NOT HAVE HONORED IT. OH ✋ WAIT... TRUMP is always right !
Yeah crazy how Bush Jr, the guy that started the wars based on lies never was, or trump, the guy that campaigned on ending the wars and then never did, wasn't either.
watching this really makes me grateful to me living where I am. It’s such a terrible terrible situation this is just so sad I couldn’t even imagine living in that type of situation

My friend in high school and my brother both served in Afghanistan and they both said the same thing, those people over there will never quit fighting, you would basically have to commit to being over there indefinitely to keep the country secure.
That was almost too much for me ~ Tim's (Bless you dude) stories are why I can't read true crime books. Violence never bothered me too much, it's the when it gets below the depths of mere violence, suffering caused by things that would never factor into our daily lives, that hurt me -as someone on the outside looking in I mean
That's me and slasher flicks after I learned "Scream" was inspired by a serial killer who terrorized my town. I worked with one of the victim's mother. The real murders were worse than anything you could put on screen. Sorry to babble on your comment, it just reminded me.
@@Diesel257 Scream? Ah damn man....ya know I should've guessed that it was, terrifying concept for a slasher flick. Geez dude, that happened in your home town, I'm sorry to hear that. I can't imagine my childhood homies and daily friends sneaking around, offing their buddies in the next room. Scary thought for sure. My friends and family are nothing if not mindful. Nobody goes missing, nobody gets to dig themselves a hole alone, nobody in the stands gets beamed by the ball when they're not looking. It's always been like that around here but I'm sure lots of people see their hometown the same way. Maybe you felt that way about your hometown before the unimaginable became reality. Crazy people just plain suck
@@LeatherMadeSkateboarder It didnt go down like the plot of the movie, it was "just" a 30+ year old man who targeted college students. Reading about it inspired the movie. *warning, graphic description ahead* The victim who's mother I worked with had her sexual organs removed and placed on the bedside. He cut her head off, put make up on her and did her hair. He then sat the head up with lights and mirrors so it's the first thing you saw when you opened the door. His other victims got similar treatment. Of course he got to go out peacefully with lethal injection but at least he's dead.
You mean like Bush Jr for starting the war based on lies? Or Trump for campaigning on ending it, and then never actually doing that (and instead passing the buck onto the democrat that replaced him to clean up his mess)? Strange how conservatives never want to hold their own criminal cult leaders accountable.
Fuck sake, that is heart breaking. Thank you Tim and all other military and civilian personnel that saved so many lives while risking their own safety. Truly heroic. 🇺🇸
