Don’t take the Girl has been my absolute favorite song since 1996 when I was 10 years old. My dad bought the cassette tape and played it for me and he cried while he sang it, 3 months later he was arrested and went away until I was 28 years old and I had NO contact with him during those 17 years. So Tim McGraw songs always made me feel like I was closer to my Dad. Now that my Dad is out of prison and we have a close relationship we have seen him twice in concert now and will be seeing him again this coming June. He did NOT sing Don’t take the Girl as the 2 concerts we went to so we are really hoping that third times the charm and he will play it at this next concert 🤞🏻 If I could ever have the chance to meet this man my life would be complete lol

Met Garth brooks once, him and Trisha were at the Odessa raddison hotel drinking with my son’s dad back in December 2001Talked with Garth on his phone while sitting at home. Garth helped me to get my drunk husband home. Jesus is my king and my refuge he died for all of my sins past present and future, because I believe that he gave me his grace (imputed righteousness) as a free gift, , his blood speaks for me before a loving holy sinless God of our universe.I didn’t deserve it , that’s what makes Him my king, oh and I get to be his child and rule and reign with him for eternity. The cross and salvation, it’s not about US! It’s entirely about HIM, it was finished at the cross all that you have to do is believe it and be saved on the spot. Garth's decline? LOL! Garth came back after 10 years and sold out show after show faster than he did in the 90's. If Tim left for 10 years fans would probably move on.
