@@harshbing8123 I disagree with better. I think that Inside is probably the best special i've ever watched, but Tim with the heritage orchestra is better than the rest of Bo's specials in my personal opinion.
Yeah I love how he took that idea and built atop it. At the end of What there's a little message about how that special specifically payed tribute to the past and other great comedians who Bo learnt from or liked. For instance at the end of Left Brain Right Brain with the Carlin and Steve Martin juggling joke and this. Gotta love Bo lol.
@@siddhartramotar8774 I think comparing them is wrong. I think they're both great and have totally different goals and angles of attack for achieving them.
@@CarlsCozyCorner I agree to an extent. They’re both phenomenal and should just be appreciated. I was just comparing two of their best specials as an example for the other person who implied that Bo is better than the people who came before him which isn’t necessarily true imo.
Just the first line "He looks at me, intensely, contact lense green with artificial envy" one of my favourite openings ever. If a book opened with that line i would be hooked instantly
In the very beginning, it’s obvious he can actually play drums, bass, etc. He’s not just faking - everything he’s playing in the air makes sense as if it was on a real instrument!
Sorry to be so offtopic but does any of you know of a way to log back into an instagram account? I was dumb lost my account password. I would appreciate any help you can offer me.
John Doe, Live (Meaning alive) and Live (Meaning on stage in person, in front of me) are spelled the same but mean different things and are pronounced differently . Like how There (Meaning Over there) & There ,There (said to comfort someone ) are Totally Different meanings but spelled the same .,
I periodically return to watch this again because it has most of my favorite of Tim's comedic bits. But if you think comedy is all Tim has to offer, you're missing the point. His recent album, Apart Together, shows that his humor is incidental to his incredible insight; almost as if it's the world that's funny, and Tim's genius is to simply show it to us.

@@littlebucks912 Amazing because he wrote down the timeline? That's really not amazing, it's just typing what songs are at what time. A 5-year-old could do it. Nice? Yes,. Amazing? No.
I just heard on the Southbank vid that in 2005 he won a newcomer award. So in 15 years, as I write this in the time of plague, he’s starred in probably the best musical ever(JC Superstar) as well as writing two musicals. I don’t know how many tours, but they’ve included Sydney Opera House, and the Royal Albert Hall. He’s made the world a little less plastic, he’s made so many people laugh and cry and think that he should by rights be a National Treasure in any country whose residents have a rudimentary knowledge of English. So big a You Tube presence that I’m starting to think that if anyone asked me my favourite performer I’d say “Tim Minchin.”...”what do you mean, what others?...There are no others....I will prove it..ask me, favourite singer? Favourite song writer? Favourite lyricist? Comedian?” IN FIFTEEN FREAKING YEARS THAT’S JUST THE LEAST OF IT.
I’ve never been so appreciative of any other performer/creator in my life. Discovered him a year ago last June, found his fan community on Facebook a month later, in October I went to Manchester from Seattle to see him. Literally my entire life has changed since I found this man and his work! The friends I made through our mutual appreciation of Tim have been what’s gotten me through the trashfire trainwreck that is 2020. Minchkins forever 🥰🥰
Mr. Minchin, you are the shit. You are so freakin' funny, talented and extremely entertaining. You personify what it means to be true to yourself. Bravo!
I totally agree! They're both effective comedians with serious timing taking the humor to the limits. Then when they break into a really challenging piece of music or amazing solo... mind blown! I love to watch an expert musician or trained Shakespearian actor who isn't afraid to cut loose and enjoy being totally silly or self deprecating.
@@2fast2block holy fucking shit lol I normally don't answer replies to old comments but the fact that you wrote all that out to a comment from six years ago is killing me😂😂
@@aania5857 I do like humor but I don't like those that act so smart when they are truly clueless like Tim is. I can complain about religions better than most and for good reason but that does not give me the right to make lame excuses when faced with evidence for God.
I don't deserve to watch you for free. Not only are you funny, brilliant at playing music and smart, you indeed are brave enough to share your point of view, regardless of the harm that could come your direction from fanatics. You really are a a wonderful and hopeful piece of art. ❤❤❤
Tim is finest all round performer I've ever. He's a gift to the world and I'm a huge fan. Never got to see him live in his hay day unfortunately. I would pay good money to see him live if he still plays. Total legend
I don't think I can compliment Tim more than any of the other comments have, so I'm going to point out the amazing camerawork. In Angry [feet] for example, the cuts are legendary.
Phenomenal to say the leeeeeeeeeast, what Genius, who needs religion when you can live out your highest potential like Tim, more power to you, keep your light shining. And yes you are inspiring many, your message needs to reach out to so many more. You are absolutely mind-blowing. Deep respect and you got yourself another lifelong raving fan.
I really hope that Tim and Bo write a musical or really anything to be honest. They are both so creatively diverse, and it’s so refreshing how they don’t solely rely on laughs as their performative currency.
There’s at least one video on RU-vid of them playing together, and Ben guested on one song in Tim’s streamed concert just a few days ago. Should hopefully be out on dvd in the next year ☺️
Love and Light from Mississippi, U.S.A. Hope everyone's staying safe and taking care of each other during this pandemic. Don't forget your canvas bags. 🙃✌🏼💚
Uber Scouse. Fantastic name. I am a Scouser who went to Perth and am a great fan of Tim Minchin from Perth. I think he should be an honorary scouser and use his powers to pray for Everton.
this guy is amazing live he is totally awesome really like his show's and he is a really down to earth guy one of my all time fave this is one of his best shows :)
yeah. all these amazingly mindblowingly intricate things ticking away inside every living thing is all the magic i could ever want or need. if i was a religious person, i would worship all the "tonys" over the eons. thank you for my feet you guys!
logenheimen1 Fundamentalist religious people? Seventy-nine of them have seen this video, now. It’s too much epic for them to handle. Plus, Tim is ginger and musically inclined, so they may think he is the devil.
Be sure to watch this with Captions on. It won't help you understand anything you might miss, in fact it's mostly for my own entertainment to see what it comes up with next. If we had that translator in the United Nations, there could be no war, since it'd be impossible to tell if you've just been insulted, complimented, or told your yogurt has just passed it's expiry date.
@@annnee6818 Same here, they're probably the only people I'd have a hard time not going "fangirl" over. Maybe Mary Roach too. Seen Izzard live 3 times, and my dad actually met him at a random theatre.
I wish he would do more of those little Bowie-esque squeals like he does at the end of Rock-n-Roll Nerd. He seems to have dropped them from his performances these days.
well there is probably always people that want to be the first to dislike the video, then a lot of them might just not like the swearing or the fact that its not the official video (just a guess though)
Has there ever been an entertainer more beloved by his fans than Tim Minchin? This is not to say that everyone "gets him." Those who don't get him are puzzled by those who do. Those who don't get him see and hear only the cursing, the contempt toward religion, and the merely adequate quality of his singing. But those of us who do get him see and hear his brilliance; his innovation; his knowledge of philosophy, politics, and literature; his intolerance of cruelty; his magnificent virtuosity when playing the piano; his quirky humor; the beautiful songs he writes; the ribald songs he writes; and so much more! He and Lin-Manuel Miranda are true musical geniuses.
I discovered you recently Tim Minchin...I was watching and commenting on Bo Burnham (the world knows this old lady has a crush on him, lol) and saw mention of you..so sorry I didn't find your videos sooner!!!!!!! You are very, very funny, clever, and genius!
+Liz Angel no I don't think Bo Burnham made a mention of Tim Minchin at all, but somebody in the comments section of Bo Burnham's video did say that if I liked Bo Burnham, I would like Tim Minchin too. Whoever that was, was right. They're both so funny; I think they're both geniuses.
