Nice interview. I was actually sponsored with Prince frames through the Prince distributor here in Denmark. I started with the Prince Rebel and then the Diablo. The best Prince frame that I ever used was the EXO Tour 16x18. I also played with the Phantom O3 100. I am now being sponsored through the Technifibre distributor, and am playing with the Technifibre T-Fight ISO 300. I really liked the Prince frames, they were just really difficult to get supplies from. They also don't have any top players using their products, which makes exposure difficult. I am a previous top 10 USTA (ranked 8 singles and 2 doubles) sectionals , in the State of Hawaii. Came to Denmark back in 1980 on a club contract. Really enjoying my relationship with Technifibre but Prince are a quality product. I really like my T-Fight 300. That frame does everything well, which makes it a great frame. My tennis history dates back to the wood Era , Davis Classic , Snauwaert and the Dunlop Fort. I played my college tennis at Cal Poly San Luis Opispo California. This was before Tennis Warehouse. As a brand they’re definitely my favorite. Awesome feel and just plain fun rackets. Too bad they barely exist in Brazil. Very few models, more expensive than the mainstream brands, and always only in L3 grip..

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE.....Much like you did a re-issue of the Diablo a couple years ago, do a re-issue of the original o3 tour that Davydenko, Coria, used to use. No updated model was ever as good.

Awesome podcast, love listening to Tim. I really hope Prince gets more recognition again, they have such quality frames like the Phantom series, which I really enjoyed using when I had trouble with tennis elbow. I also really appreciate that they state the targeted Swing Weight with their specifications. I wish other brands would do the same.

I bought a half fibreglass half carbon Typhoon 110 Prince cheapie. Just amazing power, spin and feel. A goldilocks racquet for an older guy coming back to tennis

Look forward to more 107s with an unstrung weight of at least 300 grams. Currently playing the Textreme Warrior 107 300 grams and look forward to a successor. Really like the Tennisnerd tests/interviews/insights. Keep up the great work!

Tour line is so good. Also, I just learned the Ripcord exists. Looks like no 300g+ frame right now, so will look forward to trying the 2025 update.

What ever happened to the slightly longer frames (that Costa and Chang played in the 90s), did that disappear or remain a thing?

Loved the 2015 prince tour 95, disappointed in ats 95, slow to swing. Would love a 305g to 310g 95sqinch head, slim beam, around 63 RA. Like the tour 310 but 16x18 in a 100sqinch is too high launch. A 97sqinch also as very little to choose across manufacturers. Too many 100sqinch head

We need more 93 and 107s. Right now you can get any frame you want so long as it’s 98 or 100. Where are the 95s, 97s, 107s, 110s? Give us Ripsticks in different head sizes. Choice is good.

A Ripstick 98 with O ports would be awesome. Add some more control, but sill very spin and power friendly. The O3 Beast 98 was awesome as well. I am surprised Prince did not release an updated O3 Tour frame versus an O3 in the Phantom line. I am still a Prince fan and enjoy the POG107/Phantom 100p.

They have a Beast O3 98 available which is more aggressive than the Ripstick imo. Beam is not thin though.

@@mochtegernmilliardar782 Yes, there is a Beast 03 98. Though, newer versions are only sold in select markets. A Ripstick 98 could be a cool revival with a tweak of a thi nner beam than the Beast.

If I was Prince, I would just do what Toroline has been doing this past year. Everyones knows Toroline now, everyone wants to try Karue's K-Pop string setup (or even buy a cracking Percept 100D). I wouldn't care so much about ATP and WTA players endoring Prince for the time being. Make PRINCE COOL again! The molds are there, it's just a marketing challenge. I've used the Synergy 98 18x18: a bit too high swingweight for me, but great for flat hitting. Now playing the 2015 Tour 95. Also, using the ATS98: much more stable than most 98 I've tried, pretty damn good mold, 8 main strings in the throat, excellent cosmetics upclose. At least, Prince gives as molds that stand out and make tennis exciting, rather than reissuing "updates" that have minor changes to the previous models.

Always have loved prince and hit with the 2020 100p to this day. The phantoms are wonderful rackets and I understand why the 93 is gone but coming out with a new version with limited supply every 5 years or so would be cool to a lot of tennisnerds out there. I own one myself and love playing serve/volley with it in doubles mainly. The 97p i used to hit with too but never could quite get used to that sweetspot like I could with the 100p and my old microgel radical 98 i played college with. Prince makes great rackets but some of them are close to the mark but not quite. They are going to need a top 10 player to bring them back to former glory. It would never happen but imagine if sinner or alcarez swtiched to a prince? It would bring them back I would think haha.

My first back in the 80’s was Prince oversized …my friends we all wanted to be Michael Chang. I have two inexpensive Warriors I got in part nostalgia and b\c of the price. Am interested in the Phantom as a control type stick, but in Canada only the ATS seems to be available at discount. Not even the online Prince Canada distributor has it. Seems like almost an in-house brand for Tennis Warehouse?

Basically a prejudice against Oversized (107 sq inch) rackets exists in today’s tennis society. There are probably more than a few pros on tour that are sacrificing significant ranking increases because Oversized Players Rackets are practically nonexistent.

It is unfortunate that the 97p is not in the pipeline and perhaps no 98 ripstick . The overall problem is that prince's marketing and buisness structure is non existent or chaotic . There is no follow through with real marketing . It needs to act like a boutique fashion house and not a cartel of seperate interests . The products of prince that you see in japan , you never see in the U.S . This is supposed to be an American owned company and yet it acts like it is a Japanese one . Where is the real connectiontion to prince anywhere in the u.s in marketing and product sales , except for tennis warehouse and the poor quality apparel in physical dick's stores .

Why do no pros use them now? Are they any good? Feels like an old brand. Like Dunlop they seem outdated but no idea why. Maybe that green is a bit limited and they are associated with the oversized granny racket. 😶
