Hey, Tim! I am going through this exact situation as we speak. What a nightmare. After about 3 attempts, I finally went to a door sweep with a 3/4 inch fin at the bottom. The gap between the bottom of the door to the curb was close to a half inch. Not to mention the curb was pitched outward, away from the shower stall. So, yes, water on my floor was an every day occurrence. The longer fin has stopped about 85% of the water, but the curb needs to be re-pitched. That's a bit out of my league, but watching your video now helps me to better understand what I am up against when I hire someone. Thanks!
Very common issues, the solution lies in the design in the beginning. The Tile Professional must pitch the curb "down and in" and do this right or callbacks will keep coming. The homeowner believes it is some flaw in the installation of the Shower Enclosure. This is just common sense, water runs with gravity or tension so it will follow where we lead it. Together we can over comer the water issues. Thanks for the Video!
Hi Tim we have a step down shower with frameless barn door style doors that slide from left to right, and the showerhead is on the right side of shower. Tons of water leaking out through under the little space between the glass door and tile floor. What can we do? Thanks.
Any ideas for a sliding glass door? There is a gap between the bottom of the door and the tile. I can’t put anything on the bottom of the door because the track it slides into. Any ideas would be most appreciated. I have been living with it but would like suggestions on a solution. Thanks.
