It is such a privilege to learn from the artists presented via AWS and I particularly enjoyed this presentation with Mr. Saternow. It was refreshing and enlightening to watch his process outside the traditional (and sometimes rigid) boundaries of watercolor painting and will surely suggest more reason to paint by feeling than by rules. So, thank you AWS and Mr. Saternow for making this learning opportunity possible - much appreciated.
LOL, that "iconic" car was a Trabant, made in East Germany, and yes it seems to be the basic shape that a generic car shape devolves to if you are not careful
Fantastic demo. The splattering really adds a dimension to the work. Question: the brush you use to scrub that you cut the hairs…what type of brush is it? Thanks again
Sorry for the delay, John. I cut CHEAP craft brushes - or I cut CHEAP 'chip' brushes from the hardware store. Look for cheap brushes that are particlalrly stiff.
