TIME ADVENTURE | homestuck lyricstuck/panel redraw 

This makes me emotional because it makes me think of friendships made at the height of the fandom. All of those people met through roleplays, fanart, fanfic, staying up late having passionate conversations about lore, headcanons, and OCs. And even more conversations about how AUs would effect the characters like bloodswaps. It felt like I was in a dream that would never end. Now I don't have most of those friends with me anymore and the ones I do aren't interested in Homestuck. We have all moved on to jobs, relationships, universities, and other interests. In a lot of cases, these circumstances or other ones tore apart these friendships permanently. I wish I knew then how I would really look back on those years as the good old days. And well, since I'm only 21, someday I will probably look back on today as a good old day too. But no matter how much I wish to I can never go back. It's bittersweet when I see wonderful, newer pieces of Homestuck fanwork like this, or even get reccomended old classics like Octopimp comic dubs. I'll always love Homestuck because it taught me how passionate I can be about something and how a comic that is literally about going on an adventure with your online friends taught me to dream and to love. Even when I feel depressed and listless, I know I can feel drive and inspiration and safety again because Homestuck and its fandoms taught me that I am capable of it. In the future waiting for me, I will be interested in and passionate about something new, feel those same emotions, and make new friends, and go on new adventures in the process. But at the core of all of that, for me, is Homestuck, and that one time a clueless young me asked a friend, "What kind of anime is Homestuck and where can I watch it?"

Bro, Im literally on the verge of full-on crying, prickly throat and big sighs, the whole shebang. Ive been looking through my old homestuck interests and it makes me want to cry because it's been years. And well, I'm not a kid anymore, not the same. I remember barely scraping past Act 4 because everyone was saying it'll get better, and it did.This shit literally shaped me in my preteens becoming who I am now. I'm glad I was ever a Homestuck as embarrassing as it was back then. Me in my dumb homemade horns and Vriska shirt and getting merch while it was in Hot Topic 😅. I don't regret getting in to Homestuck. Im happy you made this and that I have the privilege to see it

Legit hadn't expected to wind up in the Homestuck feels today but happy to be here. Man, I was in college when I got big into Homestuck and after we finished school and took off to other parts of the country, we'd message each other to alert for updates then dissect it even though we were working adults. And some of us have grown apart, and none of live remotely close to each other, and some of us still hang out, but some of us don't, and I don't regret that we were friends. I still think we are friends, because if they need something, I'll still be here for them, and when I needed them, they still answered. And that will always matter, and that will always be tied up with the things we obsessed over together.

this song in relation to homestuck makes me UGLY CRY even to the original version and this is just WORSE. when johns hands showed up on the "if there were some amazing force outside of time" bit i felt such intense physical pain that i pulled my hair out. CHILLS. AUGH. you and i will always be back then........

I’m ugly crying 😭😭😭 my heart cannot TAKE this aaaaaaa god what a beautiful, beautiful video. I cannot articulate the feelings this piece of art has evoked in me. I joined the homestuck fandom in 2013 and even though I’m not currently active within it, it will always have a special place in my heart (and in my brain oh god the references will never leave my brain). I still listen to the soundtracks and occasionally I’ll have the urge to reread some of my old favorite fics or rewatch my old favorite lyricstucks. Videos like these are so beautifully bittersweet and nostalgic because they bring back my memories of reading updates and being a part of the fandom back in the day.
