Narrated by I.P. Freely. It's finally been done! A version of 'Time Chasers' with all the best jokes from 'both' the MST3K episode and the Rifftrax Live event! Enjoy!
For some reason one of my favorite jokes is Nick: "My grandmother is turning 75 tomorrow, and she's gonna try skydiving for the very first time." Crow: "It's not gonna go too well if you know what I mean..." I really shouldn't find that funny. And the joke that really cracked me up in the Live Show was "Mastercard?" "Visa?"
It's far from the funniest joke in the original, but I always laugh at Mike's "Who am I trying to kid, I never went to Castleton..." comment. Can't explain why.
You have no idea the gift you have given me! I had felt like a mashup would be amazing also but you crushed it! This is just PERFECT! Great job, keep'em comin PLEASE!!!
Thanks for uploading! Time Chasers was the first MST3k that I ever watched back when it first aired. It has a lot of memories for me. I think it was cool to get takes from both the MST3k version and the Rifftrax version. It's interesting to see the comparison and get a variety of riffs. Good job! God bless. :)
Thanx, I appreciate it very much :) It was a challenge to have the patience to piece these all together, took me all night but wasn't going to stop til it was finally done, and I'm glad I'll have this version for myself as well as it's one of my personal favorites as well.
When I see this poor actress kissing our "hero" and also watching that poor actress having to do a love scene with Tommy Wiseau, I now have a new found respect for actresses.
I've usually heard it as, "Sir, this is an Arby's." I think it works a little better because it evokes the image of someone ranting into a drive-thru ordering mic. I can't believe I spent any time thinking about that.
First saw Time Chasers when MST3k was in its waning days of reruns on Sci-Fi. No other movie from those last few seasons really fit the Saturday morning timeslot like Time Chasers did.
They needed to make a movie where Nick Miller teamed up with Zapp Rowsdower (the new odd couple) and battle JK Robertson and Satoris in a game of world domination, or of just parts of Vancouver and Ottawa.
the Rifftrax ending improved on the MST3K version: "you could have just not called him, ya dick!" "Monster." LOL. Although "Andrew Wyeth's pink boy on tarmac" was hilarious.
I almost forgot this was from Vermont! That's why the damn Ben & Jerry's references. This means one of 3 things: the live riffing was done before the 2016 primaries; all the references to a certain senator were left out; there were no senator riffs and they missed a huge opportunity.
Here's something that screws with this movie... Would aircraft control be freaking out when they randomly see an aircraft disappear and appear from/on radar? 'course this film predates 911
Here is something fun. If you happen to have an Amazon prime account. They have a lot of Rifftrax on them that were done before when it was MST3k. This is one, and other is Gammara. If your patient you can play them in two different windows, and synch them up. Sure its a little of a hassle, but its funny...
Yup. Loving these mashups. There’s still quite a few both groups have done. Fun how MST in S13 did a few that RT had already done. Great editing, Wiley. I really dig videos. 🫡
This movie tried its best to be a poor man's Back To The Future and succeeded at it. The only way this film is enjoyable is with Mike and the bots. Without them, it's just barely watchable, but still even the plotlines and the poor decisions made by the characters makes for a decent unintentional sci-fi comedy.
There's a funny story about the Time Chasers people being excited about their movie being picked up by MST3K, but they apparently thought they liked the movie and as a result celebrated by getting together with the cast and film crew to watch the MST3K take, and they were brutally disappointed with them demolishing the movie.
They did not know what 'Mystery Science Theater' was actually about, they assumed that they were fans of mystery science and actually admired the movie, but of course they had another thing coming.
"I'm gonna leave a couple of men here to keep watch." "Do you think that's necessary?" "ABSOLUTELY! But it's just a precaution." WTF? Amazing writing there. LMAO!
My favorite from the MST version not included here was; "Our young nations first spaz attack!" After J.K. has that Sly smile upon witnessing the colonials and saying "I'm going to facilitate connectivity!"
Probably couldn't have helped it, but I personally wouldn't have included the laughter from what I assume is a live event. It feels like a laugh track, I hate those.
Wait if he dies in the past wouldn't he die in the future? I mean they blatantly bring that up with JK says "I wouldn't want you finding my great great grandparents and killing them therefore killing me" yada yada yada.... I'm still not sure how all three of them are alive in the future I mean I get it but I don't. Never dawned on me until just now and I've seen this movie at least 50 times... Maybe that's why it was riffed, I suppose... 🤔 Another shitty plot from Giancola.
Acting- poor Effects- poor Writing- seriously? Time travel is difficult to do well and most productions fail.. Rather like a poor man's Back to The Future.
